We have used the waitlist twice and both times had to wait an additional hour or more from our scheduled time to be sat. The grub hub driver that is used to deliver was Impolite disrespectful and rude.i called this restaurant for breakfast to be delivered to me at 11:10 and expected to be eating my brunch like Order of food by 1130am The delivery driver began calling me and I calculated a new delivery time. As he left to deliver my breakfast he told me that he could not find me. I gave him a step by step list of area landmarks. Calling me back 3 X eventually I decided to cancel this order. As a 70 ye old woman I wasn't able to stand outside waiting to help him arrive. As he continued shouting help me please. At 11:45 in the hallway floor in front of my apt.door was a brown Bag. This was a very poor experience for me at age 70 this driver is not capable of independent delivery. I do intend to block the charge of this order. I am so disappointed. read more

Then prepare to wait about 30 minutes to an hour once you check in...lol It's gonna be crowded, just get over it & people watch like everyone else or order take out because the "FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT!!" Do NOT come in for lunch if you have less than 2 hours. Arrived at 12:10 They seated us in a section and did not let our server know we were seated. Food took so long that we barely had time to have it wrapped in time to leave to get back to work No warnings on how long it would take... no apparent concern when we let them know that we were on lunch break... 5 minutes AFTER we let our server know that we were on a tight schedule someone dropped by the table to let us know food would be out "soon"... food arrived at 12:42. Great brunch and breakfast spot! Another Broken Egg is such a cute and cozy, yet modern cafe. They have a very full staff, which allows for super fast service in the waitstaff and the servers. The staff is friendly and efficient, perfect for the crowd this place brings. I don't believe they have reservations, so it's a first come first serve situation. We got here at 9:30 and were seated immediately, but the people behind us had to put their party on the list. By the time we left (11:00) there was a full line. Which is a great sign that the food is worth it! I ordered the crab cake Benedict with a side of cheese grits, I give it an 8/10. It was a solid brunch meal and very tasty but I think it could use a little spice--but I recommend trying it if you're mulling that over as an option. Everyone else really enjoyed their breakfast (pancakes, French toast, and traditional bacon and eggs). They also have pork sausage which is the BEST sausage I've ever tasted. Ok well I'm sitting in this 8-10 meeting thinking about breakfast. Start scrolling through Yelp and what do I happen upon... lobster for breakfast... why yes, yes please! They give you a generous amount of Lobster mixed in the butter wine sauce that tops this Brie stuffed omelette. The city grits were good, but I don't think it was worth 2.50 extra. Great service! Allen was super attentive and professional. Food was average from what we choose to order. I had the Ipanema Estate Coffee pancakes which tasted great. My GF had the Salmon avocado toast which was tolerable. The toast was soggy and her side of Maple Apple chicken Sausages tasted like it came out of a cheap frozen bulk package. Waited 2 hours on waitlist after being told it would be 45 mins, seated and waited 20 mins to be greeted. Waiter came over said "I'll take care of you guys" , " I'll be right back " and even left his note pad at our table to prove he would be back, this happened over the course of 60 mins . I've come to this restaurant several times over the past few months. So I didn't write a review right away. The food is actually some of the best breakfast I've had in Columbia. It's always fresh and right off the grill...just like I want it. I really hoped that the sub-par table service I received was a one-off. Its disappointing to report that the customer service is just not that good. On one occasion I brought my wife and daughter in for a fun breakfast. The restaurant was crowded. Yet, we waited at the front entrance for at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Even though several employees looked over and saw us waiting. On that day in particular there seemed to be some in-house training. So I took a mental note and hoped it would be better next time. Not!!! I am pretty laid back and don't go out of my way looking for issues. Unfortunately each time there seemed to be a different disappointment. The floor staff seems busy enough running back and forth. But they didn't complete simple tasks like bringing silverware to the table or topping off my coffee or bringing cream for the coffee. Even a quick "Ill get to you as soon as I can" and a smile from our waiter would have helped. We didn't even get that. My final analysis is come for the food. Don't expect much in the way of customer service...they need some major improvements in that department. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning around 10am, there was no wait despite us putting our name on the waitlist on the way over from our hotel. We were sat and greeted promptly. I got an orange mimosa (? 11oz) and a caramel cold brew and my husband got the Irish spiked cold brew. My only complaint is with the drinks, they are very over priced for the size. I'm not sure if I accidentally got the 8oz portion of mimosa or not but regardless it was a good mimosa, standard for sure. My husband said his coffee had no spiked taste whatsoever. If we are ever in the area again would probably skip the specialty drinks all together. HOWEVER the food was AMAZING. I got the bacon chorizo omelet with city grits and a short stack of the lemon blueberry pancakes. My husband got the Lucy omelet, home fries and the bourbon street pancakes. This place easily takes the trophy for best pancakes we have ever had and the omelets were delicious also. Portions were generous and prices were fair. Our waitress was great. Our total bill was just over 70$. Will definitely be back for the food if ever in the area again read more

Super good and large menu lots of things to choose from, everything sounded good. The menu was a bit pricey I'd say 11 or $12 for each item. My wife got carrot cake pancakes which had kind of a cream cheese icing. Looked great tasted great but no way you can eat more than half of it. I told her we could take it home for dessert later. That came with eggs on the side and bacon. I got the southwest scramble which had chorizo and green chili peppers in it and came with salsa and guacamole. I also got a side of bacon. SERVICE: I decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table (social distancing is enforced). The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. She answered all of my pesky questions and made great conversation as I waited for my food. Further, after I had finished eating the manager also checked in on my experience. The service alone is a reason to revisit. FOOD: I ordered a Belgium waffle with spiced apples on top. It's not on the menu together but my accommodating bartender checked and said it was ok for me to have. I got scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. The chicken sausage was good, the eggs were ok as they were not shell eggs. (I'll ask next time for shell eggs) I also had breakfast potatoes with cheese. The potatoes were touching on the not so warm side, but they were palatable. Overall, great experience and I will for sure return in the near future! This "hands down" is the BEST brunch spot in Columbia. I live in West Columbia but it's well worth the drive. Thw menu options are more better than expected! And the service even more so! It was our 1st visit there we sat at the bar because otherwise there was an hour wait. The Bartenders Devin and Michelle were AMAZING!!! The mimosas were on point! The blueberry lemonade pancakes and cinnamon roll French toast suggested by Michelle were the most delicious things we've eaten in a long time. Signed in online at 10:50 am. The app said we had 15 min so I checked in with the hostess at 12:03. By 12:38 we still had not been seated. There was a small 2 top table outside that hadn't had anyone sitting at it for the 1.5 hours we previously waited and it didn't have the table settings items on it, so we sat down there waiting for our table. Someone came over and asked if we were waiting for a table and asked if we wanted to just be served at that spot so we took it. Food took a very long time to get and it was cold. My daughter was missing the sausage that went with her waffle for the entire meal until the end and she never did get syrup. The 2 round patties of sausage were a little larger than a silver dollar. The cookie dough waffle was good according to my 17 year old teenager. Shrimp and grits was a small portion and a lot of grease floating on the top. I asked for a side of béarnaise sauce, but instead they brought shrimp and sausage on the gravy without the actual low country reduction sauce and then brought out a random brown gravy as the separate sauce. I didn't say anything or send it back I just kept what I was given. The garlic bread is two tiny 2inch triangles of mushy bread. The waitress was friendly but stretched too thin. This is our 5th of 6th try here for bunch but sadly the last, I can't see why we would try again. Ran out of water twice without refills. 2 eggs scrambled, 2 waters, 2 small sausage patties, 1 waffle, 1 bow of shrimp and grits. $42.05 We asked for the check shortly after getting our food since we waited so long and wanted to spreed the process up. Ate quickly, paid, and left at 2:23. It took almost 3hrs and 30 min for one adult and one teenager to be seated, get their food, pay , and leave. read more
