We visited a few days after they opened on a Saturday near brunch time. Needless to say it was absolutely packed. The staff was doing a great job at getting everyone seated. We originally asked to sit outside as it was a shorter wait but it was way too cold and we weren't dressed properly for the weather. The servers quickly got a table prepped inside for us. My waitress was nice. I went a few days ago and didn't have the best experience. I ordered the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. What I got was plain pancakes with goat cheese. There was barely any topping, no lemon at all. The eggs on the side I also received cold. I told the waitress and showed her that my pancakes didn't have any topping and tasted just like goat cheese she brought me some lemon zest which did at least add a little bit of lemon flavor but still was not that much of an improvement. I have been to other locations and had great food so I was a little disappointed at this one. read more

We had such the delicious breakfast this morning. Servers was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. I had a traditional scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, and English muffin. Very tasty. Grits needed no seasoning. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast who is NOT a big breakfast fan. She had the southwest scrambler and she raved about it the whole meal! I tasted it and agreed. She also experienced the "city grits" which was delicious as well. And I have to say the guacamole was delicious. Arguably some of the best tasting and freshest guac I have ever had. It was stronger with lime and less cilantro. It was a clean place and appeared to be efficient. If there was a down side, there is no ceiling (warehouse look), which was attractive, but noisy. I had eaten at another franchise of this business awhile back so I wanted to try this new one near my home! I was rather surprised they weren't busier but I wasn't complaining! Got seated immediately and a waitress named Izzy came over to serve us. She was friendly, courteous and eager to please. The coffee was good and hot . She took our order for breakfast and was so happy to make anything happen as in substitutes even though not listed, happen! She understood my husband's wanting extra crispy bacon request and exactly how we ordered. The food came out quickly and hot. I ordered the Mardi Gras omelette with an avocado instead of the normal sides. It was a beautiful sight and presented so nice. It had shrimp, andouille sausage, crawfish and tomatoes with a tomato hollandaise sauce that was delicious. The meal was a wonderful portion and ever so tasty! My husband got the traditional breakfast with two eggs with cheese, fruit bacon extra crispy and a side of bacon and an English muffin. One of our big complaints is his bacon it's never cooked enough and they got it perfect. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a great amount of cheese. I can honestly say that my husband and I will return and in looking around everyone seems to be busy doing for their customers. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. They do have seasonal specials if you're into that and a bar for brunch style drinks. First time trying this place out since they opened and it was horrible. Placed a to go order and was told 20-30 mins. How about we got our order over an hour later!!! And we had to go in couple times to keep checking on it. I like their food since we've been to the Southside location. This location needs to do better. The food was just okay. This is a great breakfast/brunch spot for anyone who loves anything from chicken and waffles, Cajun breakfast dishes, to good ole fashioned omelets. So we were in Jacksonville waiting on our car that was being fixed and we decided to try this place for breakfast. Our hopes weren't too high because we had yelped another place that ended up being closed and came here on a whim. When we got there we were seated outside quickly and met our server Nick. Nick was an amazing server he was funny, he talked to us about grits and football ( WE ARE!). I ordered the huevos rancheros without chorizo and subbed grits for the tortillas, and my husband got the croissant French toast. My husband is a vegetarian and Nick was more than happy to sub out the meat for some extra fruit. Everything in our meal was amazing. We also tried the regular and decaf coffee's and my husband remarked that this coffee was much better than the coffee I have been making in the pour over at home for weeks (insert eye roll emoji here). It was all their first time and unfortunately I'm not sure if they will come back. The service was awful; we were never checked on throughout our meal, waters were never refilled, a part of our order was not put in, we weren't greeted. We wanted to add an order of beignets but never got the chance to order it since our waitress never check on us. Nonetheless, the food I got was good. I got the chicken biscuit and the gravy is just the right amount of savory. Would def ask for extra gravy for the other half of the sandwich! Hopefully my next experience will be better. read more

Was told about this place from my neighbor's son in law and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out for brunch yesterday. It wasn't bad but the prices could have come down a bit. My southwest scramble was okay but wasn't a fan. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and he said it wasn't bad but I think I would've gone with somewhere else that's best known for their food chicken and waffles. It's a cute little place but rather expensive for brunch. My boyfriend and I weren't really impressed with the service either. We sat at the bar and all the cocktails the bartender was making looked incredible. Then I ordered the Shrimp Benedict. Something about it wasn't right. The poached eggs were cooked perfect and so were the shrimp. This dish was ok. All the components separately were good but it did not come together right. I'd suggest sticking to something safer on this menu, like an omelet. Overall good experience. Service was good and I would come back. I don't recommend the Shrimp Benedict. read more
