Went here with a mom's group and we had the best time for brunch. It's nice for those who want to stay healthy or if you want to indulge you can do that as well. We had the sweetest server who let us take our time and enjoy getting to chat. They also let us split bills with no issues between 7 people. My personal favorite is the city grits. read more

I haven't been here often enough, but I'm happy to say that the amazing service is still there and the food is just as delicious. Met an old friend here to catch up. The coffee and mimosas were poured and I enjoyed my Florida omelet which had fresh crab meat. It was served with an English muffin and grits. My friend enjoyed cinnamon roll French toast with a side of eggs and bacon. The French toast was on the super sweet side to me but from what I tasted, it had great flavor and it was nice and fluffy. More like dessert but my friend devoured it. The lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes were delicious too. Not sweet at all. Light ricotta with tart lemon and blueberries. Loved it. The fam and I attended the soft opening of this new brunch location off Atlantic Blvd. It's a awesome event; donations goes towards the Girls On The Run of Northeast Florida. The Food...The Food. All the food we ordered and ate were 5 stars in my Yelp book. Loved the Egg Nog with Bourbon. Kudos to the Bartender. Honorable mention goes to Amber, our Supreme Service Extraordinarre. Additionally, I did not experience any Soft Opening Blues during my visit. All of the staff were nice, friendly and accommodating...as if this store have been open for many months already. Their Grand Opening is this Monday (11.16.2020). Come pay them a visit. They have outside seating as well, perfect eatings in the early morning. I was fortunate to get a spot for the soft opening this weekend for Another Broken Egg for myself and two friends. They called it a practice weekend so the meals were free plus one alcoholic drink and one non alcoholic drink with a donation to Girls on the Run. Becca was our server and she was amazing! We had at least two managers stop by our table and check on us. Another server noticed we needed something and took care of it for us. My first observation was that the staff seemed to have it together even though this was only their second day in operation. My friends and I all ordered different meals and shared. I ordered the TL Banana Bread French Toast. Wowza was it good! It was topped with apples, strawberries, brie, nuts and raisins. All of the toppings came together so eloquently. It was like a symphony in my mouth with each ingredient playing off the other. The only thing I didn't like were the raisins and they couldn't be left off as the toppings were prepped together. However I was able to pick them out. One of my friends ordered the Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomatoes. Those who have read my reviews know I am very picky about crab as I spent many years in Maryland. But I have to say the crab cakes were delicious and you can never go wrong with fried green tomatoes. My other friend ordered the Lobster Benedict. This was also outstanding. I took one piece home and reheated it the next day in the oven and it was just as good. I had the Abe Famous Infused Mary which was their house made spicy pepper infused vodka version of a Bloody Mary. If you like spicy this is the drink for you. I've had breakfast here a few times and I've loved everything I've eaten - and drank! They have one of the tastiest Bloody Mary mixes. You can't go wrong with any of their omelets or pancakes - or just get both! So happy this place opened up near my house, and I was finally able to go after the new year. We got seated almost immediately after being told there was going to be about a 30 minute wait, which was so kind of them. The place was really busy but we got attended to with good timing. Unfortunately they didn't have certain items for their holiday specials, so I couldn't get what I originally wanted. I got the Mardi Gras Omelette - 8.5/10 REALLY really delicious (with and without Tobasco - the Tobasco part comes later in the review). Personally I have never been keen to the idea of seafood for breakfast but this omelette was very top tier. I'd definitely get it again and I highly recommend it. Also the cheese grits, mouth watering! But definitely eat while hot!! I ended up not finishing it because I waited to finish it which was my fault, but if you do get it, mix it together and eat it while it's still fresh! After our food arrived, we were asked if we wanted any condiments, so we asked for Tobasco. I tried my food without it first to see if I'd enjoy it without it, which I know I would've without it but I wanted the extra kick. I sat and waited for maybe 7 minutes for my Tobasco to come but this time we had to get another server's attention for the sauce. It wasn't extremely busy or anything either at the point when they asked, so I assume the original server forgot since we saw her walking around serving others. Strangely though she wasn't our server, and neither was the next server whom we asked the sauce for, BUT he did bring it immediately. Overall, I love this place so much. I can't wait to try more of the items, and hopefully I'll be back around to try the seasonal item I wanted if they have it again. Covered in fruit and a glaze that needed no syrup! I love fruit with breakfast! John- the least adventurous breakfast person, went with the traditional breakfast & I don't fault him. Stopped into this new location for brunch with my sweetie. Boy was this a great choice! I decided to have the short ribs with Gouda grits & an egg over rest on top. The hubby had the surest scramble w grits & an extra side of avocado. We shared a strawberry mimosa. Our entrées were quite tasty. The only downside was we could easily see water stains on our silverware. This was an easy fix with lemon slices. Overall, we were well satisfied. This was our first time coming to the Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville FL location and we were super impressed! The restaurant itself is beautiful and completely inviting. I loved the industrial farm/country kitchen feel. We were there with our family - 8 of us and from the moment we were greeted until we left with full bellies, we were treated with such respect and kindness. Our server was amazing and anticipated our every need. I got the country sampler which was pretty much my idea of a perfect breakfast and my hubby got the Country Power Bowl. He was so full he couldn't eat the whole biscuit despite how good it was! Our first experience with Another Broken Egg Cafe was at the location in our SC town and let's just say the experience was the polar opposite of this one. In fact, we were skeptical to try this location because of that one experience. So glad we didn't let that stop us because this was definitely one of the most enjoyable breakfast dining out memories we will take with us. I wanted to go get some brunch for some me time, and this place was amazing. My server was very sweet and offered me several suggestions for brunch and mimosas (can never say no to a mimosa!). I ordered the crab cake eggs benedict, and it was delicious. What really took me away was the English muffin underneath. It wasn't too hard and was pretty fluffy, so you can tell it is fresh. It's hard to find a place that doesn't have such hard English muffins! My only complaint was the home style potatoes side. Though they were good, they weren't as crispy as I imagined. First off, I'm pregnant. Pregnant and craving a dessert covered waffle. Most disappointing Waffle. I ordered the cookie dough waffle to the nines with everything on it. Super excited! This sounded absolutely incredible as I never order anything like this. I'm normally an egg white omelette or avocado toast orderee. I get home from picking it up and it has nothing on it. Incredible! We stumbled upon this gem because they have outdoor seating that allows our pup. We sat down outside and were immediately greeted warmly. What a great way to end my weeklong staycation! A complimentary brunch with Emy B. and two of my friends (both of whom I'm trying to recruit to Yelp LOL) that included an entree AND one alcoholic beverage a person during their soft opening... UM... yes please!!! Thank you to Yelper Jimmy P. for passing along this info to us. I've only been to Another Broken Egg once to the location near Southside Blvd; but compared to that one I like how this location was set up. The decor was was all farmhouse style with high ceilings; the only thing was that sound travels, so you'd have to talk louder to the people at your table. We all got the strawberry mimosa and loved them! For my entree I had the lobster and brie omelette. So delicious! Plenty of lobster on there and tastes real fresh; now I'm from New England and was afraid the lobster here would not be up to par but it really was! The home fries were crispy and delicious. We were also served the biscuit beignets and I was surprised at how soft they were, even though they didn't look it. The honey orange marmalade that came with it was good, though the honey was a bit overpowering. All the other dishes that everyone else ordered looked delicious as well. For their soft opening, service was EXCELLENT. We had Nick as our server and he checked on us regularly. He was very attentive and overall awesome. The general managers Richard and a nice lady (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) checked up on us also to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Plenty of parking which is a plus. The soft opening benefits Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida, and they will officially open on Monday, 11/16. It was a 45 minute drive from my house, but worth it! Ordered online and realized when I got it home that it was totally wrong. Missing eggs bacon and juice that was ordered. Ticket on the outside of bag clearly showed my order while inside only contained French toast. To pay such outrageous prices on everything these days. (This order is was charged $14!) and to not have the correct contents is unacceptable. To have to go back to pick missing items up costs me gas and time that I didn't have. Food was great.. service at the table was great.. bartender was horrible, as well as the overall efficiency of the restaurant. Came here to eat for New Years brunch, and because of the holiday, we already expected that there would most likely be a wait. To our surprise, the restaurant was pretty empty, but there was a 45 minute wait to be due to the kitchen being behind. Once we were told that there was a wait, we asked if it would be ok to wait at the bar so we could get a drink. The hostess seemed a little unsure and said that the bartender was also serving tables, but allowed us to go sit. The bar was basically empty except for one other couple that was trying to cash out and the bartender had one table behind us. It took about 15 minutes for her to even coldly greet us and take our drink order, despite being behind the bar tidying up the whole time. Once she finally took our drink order, it took about another 10 minutes to make our drinks. She cleaned up the plates from the couple that cashed out and left, and again proceeded to tidy up the bar. Considering that all of their drinks mixes are pre-made and only require adding the the alcohol of choice, I would expect for the drinks to come out much faster than they were. Once we finished our drinks, we were still waiting to be seated, and instead of asking if we wanted another drink or even saying thank you or asking if everything was ok, she just handed us the check. If it wasn't for the fact that we had already been waiting for almost an hour at that point, we would have just left after that. Once our table was finally ready, our server Amanda was wonderful. She took our drink orders (which to no fault of her own took forever to come out- shocker) and also allowed us to put in our food orders at the same time. Food was great, and came out promptly.
