The ham and hash Benedict is amazing! Service here is always pleasant! Loved the Irish coffee also! Shout to all the servers working week days! Service is fast and pleasant! Compliments to the chef! This has to be my new fave for a a brunch dish!

Another Broken Egg Cafe is an American restaurant chain that specializes in southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch. Since opening its first location in Mandeville, La in 1996, it has expanded its operation to include over 75 locations nationwide. Another Broken Egg Madison ranks among my favorite in the state of Alabama. Other honorable mentions go to the Tuscaloosa and Mountain Brook locations. Like other locations, the menu features an assortment of traditional and speciality breakfast items including chef-inspired omelettes, Benedict and sweet treats off the griddle. On this visit, I ordered the Traditional Day Starter, which includes 2 eggs, a serving of breakfast meat (I opted for maple bacon chicken sausage) and a fresh fruit. I also added a short stack of pancakes (+$4.29). Overall, I was pleased with my order choice and the service was exceptional in spite of the holiday crowds. I look forward to returning the next time I visit home!

Food was ok. Service was good. Waitress took order then another waitress came over to take our order and not happy someone took our order.

I got the cinnamon roll French toast. Which was heavenly. It is a very heavy meal so make sure you're hungry when getting this, however it reheats greatly for a midnight snack. The wait staff was right on the money, kept a close check on satisfaction and drinks, very polite and attentive. Clean as a whistle. Will keep this as a favorite.

At first, we thought this might be just another overpriced hipster joint, but we would've been wrong.. the food was delicious! I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which was NOT covered in rich hollandaise, but rather sprinkled with capers and minced red & green onion, on a toasted bagel. Eggs were perfectly soft-poached, and the side of buttery grits completed this dish. Now, for the peace de resistance, the biscuit beignets. OMGeee. Perfect bites of not-too-sweet powdery puffs, dipped in a luscious honey marmalade. If nothing else, please try these. Good job, chef and staff. We will return.

This is a followup visit I promised! I was seated immediately, and happily not recognized (I don't want anyone to know I am in "review mode"). The waitress (Morgan) recommend a coffee she described as "on the stronger side, with a hint of cinnamon", I was skeptical, but SO glad I tried this wonderful blend. I ordered the "Eggs Blackstone Benedict" with plain grits- and requested butter, and warned, "YES, I like my eggs a little runny". Breakfast was quickly server and was piping hot. The eggs were close to perfect! The meal was wonderful and I certainly couldn't have made this at home. Just a wonderful experience. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The manager, Bobby, should be quite proud. I will happily be back!

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

The girl who took our order was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick from the moment we walked in. I ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich, and Mom got the Vegetable Frittata. The bacon on my sandwich was the standout--nice, thick, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the menu mentioned garlic, but I honestly couldn't taste any. If you're going to promise garlic, I want to taste garlic! Mom really enjoyed her frittata, although I think she's getting a little tired of egg dishes lately. She especially loved the toast and whatever butter they served with it. It almost tasted like maple butter, and it was delicious. The fresh fruit was also excellent (I happily finished Mom's!). My only real complaint is the size of the restaurant. It's a cozy space, but I can see it getting crowded very quickly during the breakfast rush. Overall, everything was wonderful. Friendly staff, fast service, and a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

I looked around and was surprised at how many people were enjoying mimosa's and other drinks. I didn't see any dirty martini's. I ordered the biscuit and sausage gravy. The biscuit has noticeable bacon bits and cheddar. The sausage gravy had bits of sausage and I could definitely taste cream. In my humble opinion I prefer a biscuit without added bacon and cheddar. I prefer milk or half and half versus cream in my gravy. Others may disagree and that's ok. All of us do not have the same palate. 4/5 Dave ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich. The sandwich was ok. I make egg sandwiches multiple times a week for Dave. I suppose I expected more than the sandwich delivered. 4/5 The visit was marred by the near 28 minute wait for our food. The kitchen cooked our food and a bag sat on the counter for a while. It was the same location delivery drivers were picking up food. After several orders were delivered for people that came in after us, I sent Dave to inquire about our food. The bag was our order and was sitting on the counter...getting cold. Dave's name was not called out when the order was ready. We were 5 feet from the counter. I may return again to check out other foods on the menu. I did not discount the review for the late and cold food. If you are into brunch foods and drinks, please visit this locally owned restaurant. 4/5

You can still pick up your to-go order without having to deal with people. They now have a cute bookshop inside. They make their own cream cheese! Cons: If I'm paying $1.50 for an avocado add on, PLEASE don't let it be oxidized and brown and gross. This makes me sad. Parking is still a nightmare. See above about the bagels. I'm prepared for the hate I'm about to get, but I prefer Bruegger's...which is sad, as I'm sure they're produced and come in frozen. Prices have gone up, but that's to be expected.
