We had a wonderful breakfast with the sweetest server, Mandy. She recommended the Cinnamon roll French toast and it was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quick and efficient service and delicious food in a cute little diner made for a great start to our day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Patrick was our sever & we loved him! He was quick & informative. The food was delicious & drinks were strong but so tasty! We had Eggs Benedict- which were wonderful! Potatoes are crispy & good. Lemon blueberry pancakes with goat cheese whipped cream - LOVED THEM! blueberry lemon mimosas & strawberry mimosas were so good, had to uber back to hotel for a nap! lol

Hash Brown Benedict with City Grits
Tim G.

I have to admit, this was way better than I was expecting from a restaurant within earshot of Lower Broadway. The food was really good. I got the Hash Brown Benedict, and I was a bit surprised that the hash browns were handmade, not frozen. Everything was good and tasty. I received excellent attentive service (thanks Becka!) and an overall good experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is bright and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a great place to stop for breakfast or brunch.

Biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs over easy with a side of city grits.

Excellent breakfast experience today. I had the Biscuit's and Gravy, with Grits. The service was incredibly fast and friendly. Portion size was good and the quality of food was excellent. When in Nashville, this place is worth the stop.

Stumbled upon this location. Wasn't sure on the menu at first but got on the online wait list anyway. I'm more of a plain eater but decided to get the bacon avocado chicken sandwich. This was good, I must say!!! Others in party ordered the lunch combos of soup and salad. Waitress was bubbly, and attentive. Prices were reasonable and location convenient to Broadway. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Crowd was just waking up but restaurant was relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great job handling the crowds walking in.

Traditional Day Starter Bourbon Street Pancakes Southwest Scrambler

We waited over an hour to eat here, but boy was the food good. I suggest joining the waitlist ahead of time on Yelp. I would honestly recommend this place to anybody. It's so good! Our server was excellent, and the food is bomb. [[HIGHLIGHT]]BTW, if you don't wanna wait and see a spot at the bar, the bar is open seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love that there's a bar at a breakfast cafe?!?!?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is seriously superb. Might be my favorit breakfast in Nashville. I got the Southwest Scrambler and it was literally sooooo yummy! We also got a plate of Bourbon Street Pancakes to share, and they were perfectly sweet. Not toooo sweet, just right. 5 stars.

Lobster Omlete with brie cheese

Came for breakfast after landing in Nashville for my bday trip. It was fairly early around 8 ish not too many people. It had ample seating, family style Cafe. Nice and attentive staff. We were seated and greeted by our waiter who was wonderful. My friend and I ordered the the Mardi Gras omelet which had crawfish, sausage, and shrimp (not that I saw any) but I did see the crawfish and sausage and a side of grits. My other friend had the Lobster omelet with cheese and all side of fruit bowl. And a side of smothered biscuits. We also decided to order a pitcher of Mango Margarita but it was too sweet as well as sour and tasted more like passionfruit juice mixed with alcohol; not a margarita. It was hard to finish it but we tried. All in all the food was good and the service was good. But the margarita needs work. I would definitely reccomend this cafe for breakfast in downtown Nashville and would return.

Fun Nashville-style version: "This place is a must for breakfast! I sat at the bar and Sarah was absolutely amazing--so friendly and made the whole experience even better. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was out of this world. If you're in Nashville, put this spot on your list... you won't regret it!

Efficient and friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Apparently it's the place to be for breakfast as many were piling in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a good local restaurant alternative to the hotels. The omelette was HUGE.

Looked for a nice breakfast spot close to the hotel. Decided to give Broken Egg Cafe a try. Warm greetings when I entered and a I found an empty spot at the bar where Becca greeted me with a very tasty hot cup of Joe. I had seen the hash online but it wasn't on their new fall menu. Becca said no problem we got that. Glad I asked it is excellent. Good flavor and portion. Exactly what I was looking for. I may have to come back again before I leave.

Hash Brown Benedict

Came here with a party of 10, and they had to separate us since our party was too big to be seated at a single table. We initially joined the waitlist online, but I'm not too sure how accurate their online wait system is, because when we all arrived at the restaurant, we were given a whole different time. Initially, after joining the waitlist, we were told it was only a 25 minute wait, and when we got to the restaurant with about 10 minutes left on the wait time, they told us it would be another 40 to 45 minutes. After being seated, everything was smooth sailing. I really enjoyed my margarita as well as my hash brown Benedict. I would also highly recommend the waffle. Someone at my party got the waffle as a side and raved about how amazing it was. Other than the wait, the service was great and the food was pretty solid too.

We decided to try this place as it did come highly recommended from other reviews. To us this was just OK. They were extremely busy and we ended up waiting probably a half hour or more to get a table. They do have a waitlist that you join but that just alerts your phone when the table is ready. When we got in, it took a minute for the waitress to come to the table. She was not very attentive as again, they were extremely busy. The eggs in the omelette were overcooked and brown and just tasted off. The side of grits, fruit, potatoes and an English muffin were standard. There was nothing much spectacular that I guess you couldn't do at home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really noisy inside and the bathrooms were not very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not sure when we will return again.

I grabbed this pic before we ate the whole thing!! Crab Cake Benedict

Ask the Community - Another Broken Egg Cafe

When Do you "join the waitlist", when you arrive or when you are on your way?

B4 u head there. We did from r hotel. It told us 15 min so we only waited a few once we arrived.

Do they have outdoor seating?

No, they do not.

Can they accommodate a group of 12? If not what is the largest table size?

Yes, possibly. But I would call ahead.

Where can I make reservations? I called the restaurant and they told me that I could make reservations here.

Scroll down on the Yelp App and click "Join Waitlist Now".

I can't find their waitlist on here anywhere. They have one, right?

If you call or go in they can put you on a waitlist. Hope that helps

What about parking?

It's downtown so there is underground parking, unless you can find parking on the street.

Do they offer bottomless mimosas (esp on Sunday)?

they are not bottomless, but they are delicious!

The Finch is everything you could want in an upscale restaurant: great atmosphere, great food,…read moregreat service! We had a larger (10) group celebrating two birthdays and the staff handled things without breaking a sweat. We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation but it was no bother as our table was still being prepared. On that note: highly recommend a reservation, this is a popular place! Once we were seated we had the pleasure of Nichelle, a wonderful waitress. She was on top of everything we needed or wanted and we had very little wait time for her return. Great service! And the food... DELICIOUS! As you can imagine, our group of ten had a good selection across the menu and there was not a single person who was disappointed. Everyone loved their amazing food. What tops everything off is the atmosphere here. It's popular so, as you can imagine, it's a bit noisy. However, I like to call it "lively". And they really nailed the physical design, so inviting and upscale. I'll stop there and simply say: check this place out, it's great!

She even went out of her way to get me a drink that had fallen off the menu a few weeks prior, a delightful cucumber spritz. The ambiance is awesome. As others have said, music isn't too loud, just pleasant in the background, so it would be ideal for having a conversation. The space is open, bright, light-filled, and stylish. Parking is in a private lot behind the restaurant and they validate parking for up to two and a half hours. I wish I could rave the same way about the food. While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!

I wanted something cheaper and lighter so I grabbed a chicken plate. At ~$15 pre-tax, it certainly isn't cheap. That said, that's the cost of doing business in Nashville these days. I was deeply disappointed by the portion size. Yes, smaller chicken often times tastes better because it likely is a bit more natural than the massive birds you sometimes find. I still really didn't like how the caloric content of my meal was almost exclusively from the sides. If portion size is small, flavor has to be big. Sadly, flavor was pretty mid. It wasn't bad, but it's nothing special. So, this was a deeply unsatisfying meal, but it wasn't bad. That's easily a 2- or 3-star meal. Why is it 1-star? Well, I have no choice but to give it 1 star because the greedy owner/proprietor/whomever the decision maker is decided not to validate parking. I had to pay an absurd $15 extra for parking due to this restaurant's disgusting greed. So now instead of paying $15 + tax + tip for a mid-at-best chicken meal, I paid over $30. It's frankly absurd to allow reckless greed to take hold when you operate in the same city as Jack Cawthon, Carey Bringle's establishments and Edley's BBQ. I'll pick one of those restaurants 10 of 10 times over giving the obnoxiously greedy Martin's BBQ another try.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion.
