We tried this place on a Saturday morning just before 10:30 a.m. and waited 30 minutes to be seated outside. Not bad considering the wait for a party of 6 or more was estimated around 2 hours. I should have requested inside because we had issues with bees around us during the entire meal. The shining star of this place is the service. Everyone we encountered was so nice, from the hostesses to our server, Tori S. Maybe their strength is their cocktails, but we found the food to be underwhelming. My husband had the Benedict Burger with "fresh" country potatoes. Be careful with this burger. The second he bit into it, the egg bursted out all over him. He also described the potatoes as being old and cold. I had the Traditional Day Starter with scrambled eggs, house-made sausage patties, english muffin, and grits. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the english muffin was good, but the grits were bland, and the sausage was a little too herby for my taste (kind of had a soapy after taste). It's definitely not worth waiting over 30 minutes for, but perhaps there are better dishes than what we tried. I'm glad we tried it but can't say that we would return. read more

Quite a wait on a Saturday morning. Food was pretty bland and underwhelming. I had a breakfast burger and my wife had a Traditional day starter. The waitress (Tori) was super nice and did a great job, if I was just rating the food it would be a 2. Tori was pleasant and attentive. She had quite a few tables to manage as well(and a large party). So +1 for Tori! Maybe the strength of this place is the drinks? The food was pretty heavy on the style and not the taste. Everything looked pretty good. My burger was kind of a slimy mess. It was super oily and the meat was pretty small. My potatoes tasted dry and old. The coffee was OK, nothing stellar. The pricing wasn't excessive. I am just considering the food and service in my review, since it was so busy. When I decided to go to breakfast here I didn't realize until I arrived that I'd actually been to this same location before and I had written a review. Time for a review update! This visit it was just the kid and I. I was looking for an omelette of some sort and the least amount of carbs possible. I decided to go with the Floridian omelette which is filled with cream cheese, bits of crab and brie and a butter garlic sauce. It was so freaking good! This is also a complete change from what I went with on my first visit. I ordered fresh fruit and a side of bacon with it. I could eat that omelette almost every day and not get tired of it. We sat outside as we asked for first available and at 10:30am it wasn't bad at all during May. The bacon was cooked perfectly too. I have eaten here several times before and never had a bad meal. As the old saying goes, there's a first time for everything. Yesterday I ordered a veggie omelette with potatoes and an English muffin. The potatoes were obviously the frozen kind, cooked so long that many were hard. Both the potatoes and the English muffin weren't much warmer than room temperature. The English muffin was barely toasted. It took so long for our food to arrive, and I was so hungry, that I went ahead and ate it. I may be back, but it won't be anytime soon. read more

Our choices ranged from eggs, French toast, pancakes to Omelettes. All food came out within a reasonable time, was delicious and our server was on her A game. Was staying down in woodlands area for a conference, ordered the chilaquiles, and I'm not sure what the item brought out was but it was basically chips with an egg on top. Definitely not real chilaquiles or at least not Mexican food. I am assuming they are serving their demographics woodlands, little higher end, just not authentic. We showed up without a reservation on Sunday morning the day after a nearby Jimmy Buffet concert. We were told it would be 30-40 minutes and gave them a phone number to update us on getting a table. 20 minutes later, we got a text that our table was almost ready. The meals were delicious and our waitress was efficient and sweet. Note: We were visiting from out of town and staying at the nearby Aloft hotel. Yelp's (Apple?) map link took us onto a freeway, travel several miles away, had us make a u-turn and gave us the wrong off-ramp advice. We plugged it into Waze and were (somewhat) bemused to find that it was less than a mile from the Aloft and could've gotten there on surface streets in a couple of minutes. Lesson learned. read more

I'm all about technology. Visiting from denver, where we have a ton of restaurants that allow you to order from a QR code at the table has spoiled me. Having to wait to order. Having to wait to ask for things. I've been spoiled. I had forgotten what it was like to order with a server. I'd forgotten how much longer that process takes. And if there's a mistake, I have to be the understanding one. It's fine. The food is good and portions are adequate. But the entire process took an hour. Why? They gave me a high chair for my baby and peppermints upon request (because he dropped a few of them) so I'd definitely recommend this place as a family-friendly/ oriented! I came here for brunch with my boyfriend and sat on the beautiful, quaint patio which was spaced out to promote social distancing. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, and definitely COVID-19 conscious while waiting on the entire patio by herself for a Saturday morning. The mimosas were excellent - we split a carafe for 4 and ended up being more like for 6... but who's complaining! I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was delicious! Layered perfectly with homemade tortilla chips and tomatillos! My boyfriend got their standard breakfast combo (eggs, bacon, English muffin) and we split a half order of biscuit beignets which were to die for with an apple marmalade! Visited for the first time during rush hour on a Sunday, so I expected a crowd. It was standing room only inside, with people waiting outside as well. I didn't see many masks on staff or customers. Definitely no enforcement of social distancing while this area is still rampant with viral spread. I ordered online since the wait was estimated to be less than for getting a table, and because of the crowded conditions. I was intrigued at the high ratings on Yelp and the menu looked delicious. I still had to go in for pickup, at the bar. There was no way to get my food and still stay at a safe distance from anyone. I had my mask on, but again I didn't see that many masks on staff or people not at tables. I only waited a few minutes behind someone else picking up food. A staff member actually brought my order to me while I stood in line. Great! The Crab Cake Benedict was delicious, and the sauce and eggs were packaged separately so nothing was soggy when I opened the box immediately. HOWEVER, all the food was cold, not even warm. I arrived five minutes earlier than the online time estimate, and was served at about the same time. For what it's worth, skip this place at busy times unless you're undaunted by crowds. I can't recommend pickup either since my food was cold. We will try again off-hours when it's safer and less crowded, because that food was very tasty and it's incredibly popular. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe is actually not 'another' breakfast cafe, it's much more and much better. A friend and I decided to try a different eatery for breakfast and based on Yelp reviews on Another Broken Egg Cafe, we chose to have brunch at this place. A good sign for any restaurant is a long line (especially for breakfast) and we were certainly greeted with a long line when we checked in at 11 am. The wait time was about 45 minutes, which gave us time to chat and catch up while waiting during a very 'rare' cool October morning in Houston (area). Once we finally got the text our table was ready, we were greeted by the friendly staff and quickly seated. Our waitress, Chrissy, was a joy to have as a server; her bright and wide smile along with a very pleasant greeting made us feel right at home. She took our order and the food came out quick enough, and it was worth the wait. They have an exhaustive menu for breakfast and lunch and what we ordered was extremely tasty. Their City Grits, Andouille sausage, and banana bread french toast are award-worthy and I highly recommend them if you dine here. Great service, smiling wait staff that seems to be enjoying giving service. The Hey Lucy breakfast dish is my favorite. My wife really enjoys the spinach eggs ( I can't remember the name) .
