If you like sweet and savory, this is the place for you. Found this place on yelp, it had 4.5 stars and we are so glad we decided to try it. Joined the wait list on Yelp and we were seated on time even though we had a large party. The directions get you to the shopping center but the restaurant is way in the back. Staff was very welcoming and the restaurant is nice and clean. We had a little bit of a wait to order but our food came out pretty fast. I had the Bacquezo Omlete and it was fantastic, the chorizo makes the dish. Definitely go for the City Grits (grits with green onions, tomatoes, and bacon). The blueberry stuffed French toast was good and their Andouille sausage is fantastic. They have a great selection of fruit infused Mimosas too. I would have given them 5 stars but the coffee is pretty bad. I'm a pretty big coffee snob so for me good coffee is essential to a successful brunch. read more

Not impressed, the waitress was hard to find. When she brought my order it's was wrong. The eggs were undercooked, the sausage patties were over cooked, not enough gravy on the biscuits. This is one of the best brunch places in town. They are a little pricier than other places, but it's a nice atmosphere and their food is delicious. Also, any time there is a problem, the manager is very attentive in getting it resolved. That being said, the only problem that I have ever had was some slightly undercooked sweet potatoes. First let me say that our food was great (4 out of 5 of us), so the taste of the food was not a big issue. The service we received however, was not close to satisfactory. We got on the list via their website which we were advised we could do when we called ahead. We also got on the waiting list once we got to the location. We waited approximately 1.5hrs to get a table. While a longer wait time is not uncommon on a Saturday mid morning, that seemed a bit too long! Well we checked with the hostess & servers about our table several times throughout our 1.5 hr wait and they kept telling us conflicting information. We were told several times that it should be about 15 min longer. We were also told one time that the people at the table that we will be sitting at are waiting on their check. 30 min later we were told they are getting the table prepared. 15 min later my wife walks around to see what they are doing only to find out that someone that got in the list after us was sitting at the table that w e were told was ours! Then we ask for the manager who to our dismay was so nonchalant it was ridiculous! When my wife mentioned our concerns to the manager, she responded by saying by saying, "well if that's the way you feel about it"...That's not the correct response from a manager! So we finally get to our table and order. We get our food 45 min after ordering. Everybody's food was good except 1 of my sisters. She had some overcooked shrimp. This review is primarily for the service or lack of good service we received. Our server Dallas was great. Oh! After speaking with the manager a second time, she said she was sorry about brought out some beignets . This has not be our usual experience with at this restaurant however, this was our experience this time at this location. Note to self. I will take a look at what's really going on rather than take the word of the the person in the front because it could be a lie. We took my friend here for brunch and had it not been for her birthday, we would have left before being seated. The girl at the front FORGOT to add our name so other parties were seated before us. I asked for a manager and that was a waste of time because she kept saying it was because they checked in through yelp...LIES... I really wanted to like another broken egg. I've tried this place 4 times, each and every time hoping that I'll have a better experience. The wait can get pretty long -we've waited up to "45min", which turned out to be over an hour. Food is mediocre and don't seem very fresh. Most of the times it's just warm as if it's been sitting on the counter after being made. Personally I've tried the Benedict, banana foster pancakes, waffles etc and think their Benedict was better than the rest. Service tends to be slow and the servers I've had weren't ever very attentive. If I give this place another try I'll update my review accordingly, but with other brunch places opening up I'm not so sure I'll be back! read more

The wait that I was told would be 45-60 minutes ended up being one hour and 25 min The service once we sat down was below average in spite of the number of wait staff. Was suggested to go here as the food was good. This place has a lot of specialty items on the menu. Not just your plain eggs and pancakes but better. If you are health concious just forget about it here. Food is great but has lots of sweet and fats. The banana pancakes come with syrup that pours like molasses. It was on the pancakes when I ordered and had soaked in the cakes. It was too sweet to eat with the syrup so I had to send them back to get them with syrup on the side. The pancakes were very good by themselves. The items on the menu were reasonably priced. The bacon on the sandwich was baked and very tender for their version of a BLT. Nice atmosphere and it is probably a wait on the weekends, we went around 10 on the weekday, and no wait.people were steadily coming in. The service was strained but thats because our server was triple seated and I in no way hold our server responsible. She never stopped moving and she did her best. We had to get 3 sets of silverware before we received a clean set. I was served broken sour hollandaise sauce over a hard boiled egg on my black bean Benedict. The other patron received over cooked dry scrambled eggs and rubbery dry pancakes. This used to be our favorite brunch spot but the last few time our experience and rapidly declined. The food is very good. The service here is not the greatest. I came with a lady of 6. Yet again. My food was good however it was served like warm to cold. I was in town for my sororitys conference and many of us I went. I don't think the staff was prepared for large crowds. We were patient. Our server was kind and worked as fast as she could however i do think that she was a bit overwhelmed. Her name was Leah D. She did try hard. Got a couple of our tickets mixed up but did work hard to cores the them. Decided to update this review since my service did improve when we were seated. The hostess even came over and apologized for her impolite customer service. Of course the food here is always delish ...but good food is nothing without friendly and attentive staff. --------- The food is great but the wait time is unreal and the app to "reserve a table" is a joke.What's the use of using the waiting list app if the hostesses constantly override it by seating same sized parties over others for no apparent reason. When asked about the process instead of taking a couple of seconds to explain the process the automatic response is defense. We stopped here on the way home from a leisure trip, and this place was great! Two of us ordered the biscuits and gravy special that comes with sausage, potatoes, and two eggs. Everything was great except for the sausage. The sausage had a weird sweet taste to it , it's nothing I have ever tasted before. The sausage was not liked by anyone at the table. My husband ordered the Oscar steak and it was amazing! My father in law ordered the pancakes , sausage, and eggs and he loved his. The cappuccino was OK but I wouldn't order it again. Every single time I come here, I get amazing service. And the food is always delicious never needs salt or pepper. The coffee is pretty good also the beignet's is pretty good. The best thing I've had was the shrimp and grits. Absolutely to die for. The crabcakes are pretty thick and full of actual crabmeat no filler. The wait was initially an hour. We were put on an automatic waiting list but the waiting area was unorganized. 1 young lady, who did her best, to handle a large crowd. There should be at least 2 people handling the front when it is that busy. There were other people there but she seemed to handle seating. We arrived at 11:28am. We were not seated until 1:20pm. That was because we stop using the wait app. The wait app contacted us at 1:41pm. We sat at bar. Our server was good. She seemed overwhelmed but she did try to keep us update on our order. The male bartender with a brown beard and brown hair, needs a lesson in cleanness. He used his finger to clean a glass. He used his apron to wipe off a glass. He was constantly touching his body and making drinks. This is concerning, due to COVID. He did not make my drink. The food was good. But, I wouldn't return to this location. Although it was Sunday, I have been to other locations that handled the crowd better and was cleaner. The manager needs to step in and review their operating plan on Sundays. read more

I quick glance at the low-star reviews reveal that people don't like this place because of the wait, the crowds, and the service from busy waiters... So what you're saying is, this place is so popular to the point that you have to wait a few minutes to eat and you then don't like it?? My point is, I don't really get the negative reviews for this place. The food is PRIME and our service was stellar. Perhaps they have a few bad waiters... I don't know, I haven't seen one yet. But I'd be shocked if someone could give me a reasonable argument that their food isn't awesome. Quick anecdote that relates, I promise: My first time in New Orleans, literally every single person I talked to said, "oh, you MUST go to Cafe Du Monde to get their beignets!" To which I obliged, and I agree, their beignets are pretty dang good. But to give you an idea of how much I like this place, if someone put Cafe Du Monde's beignets on a plate next to Another Broken Egg's biscuit beignets and forced me to choose, I would eat the latter every single time.
