Great service in a laidback beach town setting. Food is an updated fusion of old favorites and inventive twists.

Louisiana Gumbo

The atmosphere was cool, sitting outside was a much better experience as inside seating was a bit cramped. The bathroom line gets crazy and that could be a turn off to diners as people stretch the line through the dining area. The food was really good. The menu has a lot of cool options. Drink menu was decent. Prices were great. Good solid spot for breakfast/brunch.

We started our day with breakfast. Been to one of these near where I live, and they have good food, so figured this was a safe bet, and I'm glad I was right. We waited about 20 minutes which is not bad considering their norm is longer. The hubby started with an iced coffee followed by salmon lox sandwich and I had the pancake meal. I knew it would be a lot of food but that's how they feed you. I had their medium roast which was their strongest and some orange juice. We definitely left with full bellies and always a delight. Service was great too, very attentive food came out at a reasonable time.

The service was good. The food was exceptional. The Apple Fritter French Toast was my favorite. Small place on the inside with only two one person bathrooms but the outside had a large sitting area to enjoy the outside views and ambience. Would definitely go back again and try some of the other items that sounded interesting as well.

Another Broken Egg? Something is broken, alright. Waited 45 minutes for food, not even during a rush. Served on dirty plates. Crab tasted off and definitely not fresh. Very disappointed. Will not go back.

My wife and I tried most of the breakfast spots near the village on our recent trip to Sarasota and this was by far our favorite spot. Great atmosphere, service, and food. I also liked that the menu had some different things beyond the standard breakfast options. For my meal, I had the crab cakes benedict and loved it. Perfectly cooked eggs, great hollandaise sauce, and the crab cakes were delicious.

ABE Famous Infused Mary

This place was busy, when we stopped in for breakfast but the hostess and waitress were very calm and polite. Loved the coziness and family atmosphere of this cafe. Our food was sensational, the omelette was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. So this was my first time trying a Bloody Mary, and I was indifferent. The Bloody Mary had amazing flavor, but not sure I loved the spice first thing in the morning. Also, amazing taste and flavor with the chicken and waffles but that chipotle sauce has some heat to it. The heat with the waffles paired with the Abe is too strong for my preference, but not the restaurants fault, still an exceptional experience!

My favorite dish is CRAB CAKES & FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. I have tasted this at other Broken Egg locations but this one beats them all.

Fantastic breakfast. Probably the best in Siesta Key. Dropped one star due to a mediocre cup of coffee.

It's got a relaxing beach vibe with outside seating and a nice patio in the back with enough shade. I could tell that they host nightly entertainment here with a small stage. For lunch, I ordered the lobster maki roll. I'm not a big sushi fan, but I was intrigued. This lobster roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in a long time. Also ordered include the blackened grouper sandwich, billionaire burger, and tempura shrimp appetizer. Our group loved every entree. The cocktails were also refreshing. I really loved my jalapeño watermelon margarita. Our server was wonderful - very friendly and quick service. Definitely an enjoyable lunch or dinner spot!

The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.

First off everything is better in off season. Everyone seems a little bit more relaxed there's no traffic the servers and staff are happy there are places to park. Our server was a tad pregnant and as sweet as sugar. She helped us out with coffee of course and plenty of water it wasn't too hot so we sat outside. I ordered my usual which is eggs sausage toaster English muffin and some fruit. My wife got fruit and English muffin and some bacon. I don't know if breakfast tastes better on vacation but this one sure did it was fantastic. We did leave room for a cinnamon roll I wasn't prepared for the size or the scope of how big the cinnamon roll was. If you can imagine the size of a newborn's head being a cinnamon roll that's pretty much what this was. We both were able to take a bite but we're pretty much full up after three cups of coffee so we took the cinnamon roll home and had it later on that evening for dessert. The place is clean it's run well the manager was on site and I love it when the locals come in because they know where to go when the food is proper. Well I can't imagine the nightmare it would be trying to get breakfast during the high season I'm sure these guys can keep up but it was a really awesome dining experience and I enjoyed it will return

But there's a reason behind this. The owner is on site quite a bit it's nice to see him. While the place certainly has quite a few miles on it mostly because it keeps getting beat up during hurricanes it bounces back. Feel free to bring a dollar and staple a dollar to the ceiling or if you're a copper firefighter bring your patch and they will hang it proudly. When I'm on vacation I like my food very simple. A simple double smashburger and fries 100% does me in. For servers are definitely all smiling another staple and not really an expectation but I'm so glad to see it.
