Another Broken Egg is always a great place for breakfast or brunch! We got there around noon so we did have to wait a while on a Sunday which I understand. We ended up sitting at the bar and got awesome friendly service. I can't remember the lady who served us but she was awesome and so friendly! She loved having conversations with us. I had my favorite meal there, their Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, it is always so delicious. The presentation wasn't as beautiful as I've seen it in the past but the dish was still so tasty. Bluf: You can't go wrong with breakfast at any of their locations. It always feels like a way better version of IHOP when I visit Another Broken Egg. I love the food choices and the service. The Blueberry, Lemon, Goat Cheese Pancakes were pretty good, but make sure you like goat cheese first, or you might be disappointed. The fried green tomatoes were OUT OF THIS WORLD! This is definitely something I'd come back for as many people don't make them right, but here they were perfect! We come here every time we are in Tampa and it has been good to great except this morning. Hoping it was a one off. The waitress seemed to be just running around busy as a bee but giving all her tables marginal service at best. Not sure if staff called out or too many tables assigned. Waited for drinks-when the coffee comes we wait for creamer we wait and wait -rather than continue waiting for it to get cold we get ourselves up for creamer. Just put it on the tables. Still waiting for the water from when we first sat. Waited more to order-she's busy. Finally order- when the food arrives it appears to have been waiting in the back for a while to get delivered as three of the plated foods are cold. Sausage-cold, potatoes-cold, omelette-cold along with toast. Eggs has a hair in it -gross. The hollandaise sauce is thick like mashed potato consistency-they must have added flour or it's just old and sat around too long. Chicken and waffles when delivered said be right out with maple syrup. More waiting- now it's getting cold. Not sure what happened today? Might give it another try or find a new spot. The food isn't foodin' anymore and it's a shame. I recently brought my family there for Thanksgiving weekend brunch. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive I think her name was Jessica but the overall experience wasn't positive. My utensils were filthy, and the tables weren't entirely clean either. Our pancakes and waffles were bland, the crab cake was much smaller; having more breading than crab meat. My mom ended up sending back her flavorless shrimp and grits. ABEC was one of my favorite breakfast spots in Tampa for five years, maybe things will change in the summer read more

Worst eggs Benedict I have ever tried to eat. Something was wrong with the sauce and it left a horrible taste and feeling with me and my wife for most of the morning. It sucks to write this review because we order or eat here often. We ordered a traditional breakfast with eggs and bacon. The eggs came sprinkled with bacon bits and no strips of bacon. So I called to complain and the assistant manager blamed the Uber delivery driver that he must've handled the food wrong so the bacon must've obliterated, not even an apology. Then he say you can come here and pick up your 2 strips of bacon. "Why would I order delivery if I wanted to drive there in the first place." I asked if there was anything else he could do and he said "no." Again, not even a sorry your food experience sucked. Just tried Broken Egg for the first time. The breakfast and service was fantastic. This was a soft opening, my hope is that they continue to provide this level of quality on a consistent basis. I'm kicking myself for not visiting the Clearwater location, the so-so reviews may have discouraged me from ever stopping in. Ill have to try them out in the near future to see if they are comparable. The coffee here was better than most other restaurants of this type. According to the waitress they brew fresh African coffee on the daily. Enjoyed every sip. Both The lobster brie omelette and the fried green tomatoes are worth trying a second time, both came out excellent. Also tried the beignets with the orange marmalade. Beignets were decent, nothing extra special. I could do without the marmalade, it didn't go well together imo. Overall a great experience. Hope they open up a few more in the TB area. read more

This is a breakfast cafe so I should note at the start that its hours are from 7AM - 2 PM. Normally I don't start out a review this way but I know that if I didn't say it now I'd forget about it later. It is primarily oriented towards New Orleans cuisine but with creative twists. I stopped in around noon so I expected service to be a little slow. Most diners were outside in a partially glassed-in attachment which looked very comfortable. Although the staff all wear masks I did notice that no one wore plastic gloves to deliver the food and social spacing for customers wasn't followed. That said, though, the food was very good. My eyes were immediately attracted to the blueberry stuffed pancakes drizzled with a tinge of lemon and cream, topped with feta cheese and ripe plantains on the side. To accompany it they offered a side of eggs done in any style with rice. I asked for a substitute of grits and andouille sausage instead. The flavors were noticeable but, for me at least, the sausage was too salty and the lemon appealed more to the eye than to the tongue. Would I go back? Yes, but at a much earlier hour. read more

My overall experience was horrible. Waitress wasn't very serious about her job. All good came out under cooked. We asked for our eggs to be cooked again because they were half done. They came out burnt, which I found very rude because it seems to me as they were trying to be funny. We never got our drinks until we got out food which is ridiculous for a coffee, orange and water. The glass the have us the orange juice glass in was a wine glass. We asked where was the normal glass the waitress fibbed and said that the orange juice glasses were smaller so we were actually getting more which I later found out was a lie. Not the best food or service. Nice atmosphere. Hosts were great; personable and welcoming when we came in. Server had odd personality...said the right things, but off putting disposition. It seemed like she didn't want to be there. Biscuits and gravy came with sausage, home fries, and two eggs. Biscuit was ok. Their house made Sausage had a weird flavor...I put it in my mouth and literally did not want to swallow. I eventually had to. It's so different that they should explain that when you order. I totally would have gotten the bacon. The gravy appeared to be made with the same sausage...I ate about half of it. Son had sausage...he didn't eat it either. Friend had Southern scrambler...she said it was good. She also had a bite of the sausage and did not like it. If I lived here, I probably wouldn't go back. Some of the best breakfast I've had in town! Please make sure you order the shrimp and grits at LEAST once. The dish is pretty big and the grits are creamy, not gritty (which I hate). The cinnamon bun French toast is sooo good. It has some sort of cream cheese icing, topped with fresh berries. They currently have some seasonal selections like carrot cake flavored pancakes and pumpkin waffles. I decided not to get them but the waiter said they're really good, so I'll likely indulge in those next time. Top your meal off with an apple pie mimosa and you'll be a happy camper. A pitcher will run you about $26, but it's worth it if you have a group. Otherwise, a glass will due and they have plenty of mimosa flavors. Last but not least, the service is ALWAYS good. Very good place for breakfast or brunch. Very large portion sizes and shareable. Nice variety of options for everyone. I highly recommend the brisket benedict and the pancake trio, both were amazing. For the pancakes, the peach cobbler was better than the bananas fosters which was better than the lemon blueberry. We didn't really like the biscuit beignets, it's not as sweet as a regular donut beignet even with the powdered sugar on top, but it was worth trying. We did call ahead for pickup. It took about about 20 minutes of repeated calling for someone to answer the phone to take my order, which was fine, they were busy and we were not in rush and wanted to pickup in 45min. Apparently me not wanting to pickup the food asap was so shocking, the person who picked up the phone just had to point out that the kitchen is going to start making the food now since the order is being placed now. Well since I didn't want cold food, I then offered to call back later or take my business elsewhere, then all of a sudden she had this great idea she could just tell the kitchen not to make it right away. read more

Friendly hostess and a helpful, friendly and fun waitress (Suzanne B). We got the Baquezo Omelette and the Mardi Gras omelette. Both were delicious and you can tell everything was fresh and quality ingredients used. Since it was our first visit - they gave complimentary begniettes (sp) and those were warm and freshly made with an orange marmalade dipping sauce. Great breakfast place! I came here with some friends at around 10am and did not have a long wait to get served. Got some hot chocolate that came in a cute mug and was delicious and ordered the shrimp and grits! I never got the shrimp and grits here before but this is my new go to dish!! It was absolutely delicious the grits were cheesy and the sauce put over the grits and shrimp was full of flavor! Only wish the serving size was larger and filled the plate. What a hidden gem ! As a yep elite I use yelp for everything ! I try to find new places that I haven't been to before to go and test them out. I am so glad this place popped up and my husband and I gave them a try. We were greeted right away when we walked in and were told it was about a 20-30 minute wait. We didn't mind the wait time at all :) luckily for us we didn't have to wait that long and got a table outside after only waiting about 10 minutes. Our server was named Eric and he was great. He went over the menu with us and let us know some of their popular plates since it was our first time here. My husband started out with their spiked salted caramel cold brew and I had the cold brew iced coffee. Both of these drinks were amazing! Also a big bonus for this location was that they had spiked cold brew. I haven't seen a lot of places offer that around here. For our meal, I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast which comes with two eggs and a side of meat and I got bacon. The French toast was absolutely amazing ! My husband ordered the broken egg biscuit sandwich and this was good as well. Only thing to note on this sandwich was that it was a bit dry - meaning they could have put more gravy or brought some extra on the side. The biscuits were moist so it didn't feel too dry, but definitely could have used a bit more gravy.
