Party of 2. We were seated quickly and that was the end of decent service. Tables of 2, 4 & 6 that arrived later than us were greeted and received their food well before us. One table next to us had their food and almost done before we got water. The food was horrendous. Huevos rancheros was a greasy messy of fried eggs and hard chips. The joke fries on the side are better from the store than this place. If seen better food, friendly service and clear seats at a state fair. This place should be avoided unless the nearest waffle house is closed. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try Broken Egg the other day. Sadly they are still short staffed, but the wait time wasn't too bad. Ordered the goat cheese pancakes, kids chocolate chip pancakes and the apple fritter French toast and a pitcher of strawberry mimosas. Everything was good. I wouldn't say great, the French toast was slightly overcooked, and the goat cheese pancakes didn't have much lemon flavor, but everything was still good. My only real disappointment was the mimosas. I thought it would have more fruit in it, either purée or fresh berries. Again, still good, but not great. We will go back because I really want to try one of their Benedict's. read more

I have had this place a few times and have had no issues with it but today I came in a bit late meeting some friends and was greeted very nicely and asked what to drink but never asked until about 15 minutes after I arrived which I found weird but let it go. When another server came to the table she instead of apologizing for that server not asking for my order she gives an excuse because that other server was pretty new still which makes no sense. They then brought me my order without asking how I'd like my eggs cooked or anything then as I sat there not eating my food nobody asked me anything or if I need anything. Huevos Rancheros was an odd dish. It's served like nachos which was difficult to eat. It was two fried eggs on top of fried flour tortilla chips with a sparse amount of black beans and cheese. So you have to use your hands to pick up the wet, eggy chips. It sounds like a creative twist but I only ate part of it. It was more chips than anything else. The other dishes served around me looked good so I may give it another try. read more

I have eaten many times at Another Broken Egg in West Lafayette, Indiana which was wonderful so I was excited to have one in Crocker Park. The menu has unique twists to traditional breakfast menu items, making it a great breakfast choice. The lobster brie omelet and double chocolate waffle were delicious! However, the country style potatoes were not made from fresh potatoes (like they were at the other ABE which were so delicious!) which made them dry and unappetizing (these I would give one star). The other issue is the noise level in the space is quite loud - the place would benefit from some ceiling panels to dampen the noise. Used the app to get in line ahead of time and the wait was accurate. read more

Some of these reviews are extremely unfair and giving a false overall review for what is a quality restaurant. Food quality is excellent. Wait time was accurate with their app. My critique would be to improve server efficiency, but I'm sure this is a common growing pain amongst new restaurants. The restaurant literally opened a month ago and will have to work through their service and hiring issues. If you had issues with wait times in the past, talk to management rather than spam 1 star reviews on people who can't defend themselves, especially amidst a pandemic. A little grace goes a long way. The food was great and our server was very nice. Only complaint was they put us at the table right next to the hostess station. Felt very awkward next to them they were talking loud to each other and we felt like we were basically sitting in the entrance. I nicely asked to get a different table. She told me I would have to go on the app and get in like and wait which would be another 45 min. We sat there it felt like people were bumping in to us made us very uncomfortable. Sadly I got in the app waitlist and waited in line, I was in line for about an hour until I notice my spot in line wasn't going down. When I got to the restaurant I spoke to a friend and she said the restaurant had a ton of empty seats with dirty plates on it. I know it's opening day. Decided to bring my dog and sit out on the patio, as we were told to seat ourselves out there by the host. 20 minutes go by and nobody comes out to greet us, bring us waters or anything. I waited about 5 more minutes before going up to the hostess stand and kindly asking if anyone knew we were out there. The host replies saying she doesn't know and she'll go check. As I sat back down the host comes over saying she got us a new waitress. 13 minutes go by and still nobody comes out. Finally decided to leave as the food just wasn't worth this service. The food was amazing!!! My boyfriend had the lobster city grits and I had lobster and Brie omelette. Amazing however if you are wanting a spiked cold brew you have to wait until after 10am. Idk why we are from St. Louis so maybe regulations. The restaurant has only been opened for a week and was experiencing systems errors. We called to put our name on a list and they said to add it on Yelp. We did and got here on the waiting list time frame. We started noticing people being sat that came well after we did. We waited about 40 mins and mentioned the issue. Got sat right away. We then waited 15 mins to get service. All in all it was amazing food and service was based on a new system that will hopefully be worked out in the future!!! I do recommend going. It's always nice when a new restaurant opens up nearby, increasing variety and choices. However, having visited here twice, I must say the food here was underwhelming for what you are paying. My omelet was cooked perfectly, but it didn't have nearly enough veggies and cheese. The potatoes tasted like cheap, frozen food section fare, and the pancakes bland and overcooked. I've had much better quality, tastier breakfast at local 'mom and pop' diners in the general area that charged about half of what I paid here. 2 and a half stars. read more

I've been here maybe half a dozen times in the last 6 months (typically for brunch on a weekend) and have always had a good experience. I've found that you can check in to a waitlist online which is helpful. I like how the menu changes seasonally with different specials, that's what I usually order - most recently the brunch short ribs. I also really enjoyed the hashbrown benedict. Portions have always been a good size. It can be a little noisy, but nothing unusual for a weekend breakfast place. They have some covered outdoor seating for small tables which I really enjoy in the summer. read more

The is always great at another broken egg. This a new location, and the wait is long as a result. Getting in line is completely virtual. I was not aware of this. I rated a 4 only because the gentleman hosting was not friendly or welcoming, and he did not explain how the virtual line worked. I got in virtual line then waited in the actual restaurant waiting area for about 1.5 hours, and he did not acknowledge me- not even once. The app told me when my table was ready, and I was only sat at a table because a lovely young lady helped me after I showed her my app. Great lighting and clean area. My wife and I were there for the first time the Saturday before Easter. We expected it to be busy since it was a holiday weekend and planned for that. Since it was just the two of us we did get seated right away, which we took as a good sign. We loved that the menu had a spin on traditional breakfast meals. Our waiter was very attentive in the beginning and even brought us a bourbon sauce to go with our beignets, which we were grateful for, as we did not care for the marmalade that came with them. It did take quite awhile to get our food and then it wasn't very hot, but it was very busy. Once we received our meals, both of were not pleased with our selections, but that was not the fault of the restaurant. We were not going to complain as the meals were our choices, but it took forever for the waiter to come back around and then we requested our check and the waiter did not even inquire as to why we barely touched our plates, he just cleared the table. read more

my family and i had a beautiful experience at this location. we joined the waitlist before arriving, so is getting a seat was smooth and easy (which worked well because we had two kids with us). in addition, our server Carli did an amazing job of making suggestions, listening to our substitutions and being proactive about refills/additional things needed to make our experience seamless. the food was delicious but the highlight for our whole party was that strawberry pound cake french toast!!!!! so freaking good it was almost unbelievable that they put something like that on a plate lol! definitely going to make it a regular breakfast and brunch spot for the weekends!! read more

I really wanted to like this place. Last Friday, my spouse and I enjoyed a day date at this cute establishment! The service and atmosphere were spot on, cocktails were great. The place was full with customers but not packed as we were seated right away. Let's talk food: the food was unappetizing at best, cold, and took forever... I ordered a simple sandwich called The B.L.A.S.T.: Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Fried Green Tomato...I ordered it without the bacon and asked for an over medium egg to replace the meat. If you have a name like "another broken egg" the cooks really NEED to know how to make an over medium egg. My sad egg was served uncooked (clear and snotty-like) and without the yolk???? How does a yolk go missing?? No fried green tomato, the most disappointing part. How is my lettuce steamed but my egg whites are raw and clear? Why is the bread cold and soggy? I mean...it is an egg sandwich at a breakfast joint. I thought I ordered a "safe" choice. My husband ordered the Lobster and Brie Omelette. It was cold and a skin had formed on the Lobster sauce poured over the top of the plain omelette. Literally, there was nothing inside of the omelette, just a plain patty of egg folded (like a McDonald's breakfast egg) in half with the cold sauce on top??? We have never had an omelette served this way (empty and plain inside) before so this was strange presentation??? Another misunderstanding with the kitchen staff knowing the menu, maybe??? Luckily the Apple Pie Mimosas and bar service at the high-top table seating area made up for the lacking food and we enjoyed our date together still. We did enjoy the country potatoes and signature sauce, that may be because of the mimosas on an empty stomach :) It is HIGHLY recommend the management ensures their breakfasty-brunch establishment can cook an egg!! Please perform a Quality and Assurance (Q&A) check of all plates before they are presented/served to your customers. Your kitchen management is bleeding your profits and dwindling your customer base. We live a few blocks away and wanted to make this our weekend/weekday/bicycle-ride brunch destination "go-to" but for the money (our tab was $87 after tip), we are going to hold off until they get their egg issues handled...
