If you've never been to Anselmo Vineyards you have to go! Last Friday night was the first time I've ever been there and I didn't want to leave. Our dinner was fantastic, not only in presentation, but in flavor. Word of caution: portions are HUGE. One of the salads can easily feed 4 people, so keep this in mind and don't order a salad per person. If you're a beef eater...you're going to be soooo happy! Again, giant chunks of meat, big enough to share. I had the vegetarian canneloni stuffed with greens, herbs, ricotta and 2 sauces (a creamy cheesy sauce and a sun-dried tomato sauce). We didn't have room for dessert, but I did get a look at them and they looked delicious and GIANT. One negative, and kind of a big one, we ordered a bottle of the 2007 merlot and it was delivered to the table already corked with no wine service whatsoever. Strange, especially for a winery.

Enjoying some wine next to their pond.

Came here for my wife and my 2nd year anniversary. We showed up around 3 and enjoyed their wine "flight" taster. After that we took a peaceful and beautiful stroll through the vineyard and up to a pond next to an old chapel. We brought some snacks along with us so we had a picnic and read a novel together. From there we headed back down to the restaurant for our dinner reservation. We both had a fantastic dinner and desert. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, while the food, wine, and atmosphere were terrific.

    Pizza done the right way!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

The woman who took my order over the phone spoke clearly and made sure to verify every element of my order. The chef who prepared our pizza personally came out front to show it to me and open each to-go box so I could verify the accuracy (all of this without my asking). The food was prepared in exactly 25 minutes as promised. We had the XL pizza, half garlic chicken and half combination; the fish and chips; and the mushroom Swiss burger with fries substituted for onion rings. Honestly, everything was delicious, and this is coming from someone who is quite critical and negative. I was especially shocked that the fried fish was perfectly crispy, not too heavily battered, and not fishy in taste. I took the leap of faith, but truly did not expect a pizza shop in the middle of a forest to deliver on fish and chips so handsomely. The prices were fair, maybe even good. The pizza seems expensive at first glance, but the size of the pie and amount of ingredients more than justify the price. Pay in cash to avoid the credit card surcharge. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is vacationing in the area. My entire family loved it.

Pizza was the best thing we had - their Garlic Chicken Supreme was delish!! Pizza was much larger than expected, but it could've used a bit more toppings. Also really enjoyed their Sampler Platter and Southwest Burger. Both were decent servings, tasty, and well-priced. Nice bar, too. Very surprised at how reasonable the prices were, and they had a good selection of tap and bottled beer and liqueurs. The restaurant portion can take a bit longer for your food, but the bar is efficient. Can definitely get crowded, and the parking lot gets full. But just be patient - it's a good place for lunch or dinner.
