This is about as hole in the wall as it gets, with a combination of Turkish family recipes served halal in a former NY pizza joint converted into everything they could need to serve those recipes. Prices definitely run a little high, but for a special night out with some good company, it's worth the drive. Service here is simple. It's what appears to be the owners family doing all the work, and they know both their menu and their people more than well. You might need a second to hail them when it's busy, but they got us everything quicker than expected. The food here is a realistically small but fresh assortment of appetizers, flatbreads and meats served to you in different configurations. Seeing as I generally go with a group, I prefer to order the Combo Platter which let's you taste their spread, if you don't mind sharing. Flatbreads are always good and a great appetizer, flavorful in their own right but not heavy enough to be a meal. An American classic, these hole in the wall restaurants have long been symbols of greater ethnic enclaves and wonderful opportunities for a larger audience to try the cuisine. They are a small family run shopped that just opened. We got a little bit of everything to try it out. The hummus and topping were such a great touch and was delicious. I just wished we had to flat bread for we ran out. Their pizza was very interesting and tasty. I love the flavor combo of uniqueness. Their lamb kabobs were not the greatest. It was over cooked and a bit dry. It was a bit tough to chew and I wish they had some sort of sauce with it. I'm glad we had the hummus left over to put on it but the meat was not worth getting. Their service was very slow. The boy didn't bring water out until we had to ask for it after taking our order and giving us silverware. When Antepian moved into town with hundreds of glowing reviews (carried over from their former location in Aurora, CO) and photos showing bulgur and grilled vegetables served with their kebaps, I was excited to try it--only to be disappointed by false advertising, stolen menu photos, and more. Pros: - Authentic Turkish; no generic "Mediterranean" theme. - Kebaplar are well-seasoned, delicious, and served with actual lavaş. - They have çiğ köfte, ezme, and ayran. Cons: - Photos across their physical menu, website, and delivery apps show beautiful kebaplar served with proper grilled veggies (tomato and green chili) and yellow bulgur, but in reality you only get plain white rice and salad. When I dined in they told me this was because they'd just opened, but months later I ordered delivery and it came the exact same way. If you're gonna cut corners like this, at least be honest in your advertising! - At least one of their menu photos is ripped off from Nizam in İstanbul (with the logo crudely cropped out), which explains why what you actually get isn't even remotely close to the pictures. - Service is chaotic, awkward, and slow on busy nights. - All beverages are in cans/bottles out of a self-serve fridge; no free water. - For a new place, ambience is severely lacking and not at all on par with the food prices. read more

We were not greeted by staff or by the owner sitting depressingly behind the kitchen (who I made eye contact with but still he only glared at me). Food was stale. Baklava was stale. Tried the lahmacun for the first time and we were told to dress it with onions and parsley and roll it all together. I enjoyed the burst of flavors in this dish. Not pictured but we also had the lentil soup which was also very good and washed everything down with the turkish tea. This was the first time we ordered a takeaway from this restaurant. Our order included "Chicken Shish Kebab", "Baby Turkish Pizza" & Baklava. The food was ready when we reached the restaurant at the scheduled time. The food was flavorful and the portion size was quite reasonable for the price. The Shish Kebabs had good flavor but were a bit dry. The accompanying salad was fresh and flavorful. What was disappointing was the Baklava. We love Turkish food and were excited to see this place move into our neighborhood. Everything was just okay.... We had the kabob combo and all of the meat was a bit dry & the sides were not very flavorful. Had to ask for some hummus on the side just to take it up a notch. Service was awkward... they seemed uncomfortable talking to us. We had to stop them to ask to order and for our check. We just wanted water and had to pay for bottled water. Gaziantep locates at Southern part of Turkiye and have really rich cuisine, the people who lives in Gaziantep called Antepian, they are specialized on meat, famous with kebabs but their lahmacun is special too, bread is very thin almost crispy but the rich topping keeps the bread reasonably elastic, when you add onion and parsley with lemon on top you can still wrap it. Another difference is the garlic used in toppings which gives absolutely fantastic taste beside the meat and spices. Topping never prepared from mince meat, instead they take the best part of meat and cut it in small pieces with a special knife called "zirh". 2 pieces are enough for one normal person and you should always consume yogurt drink "Ayran" with it. read more

Antepian Turkish Food is an amazing place to get real Turkish food made by real Turks. So for the uninitiated, Antep is the food capital of Turkey, and the owner is from Antep. Ask anyone from Turkey where the best food is and they will tell you "Antep" hence the name. And if you have no idea what turkish food is, it has a lot of similarities to Greek food if you need a comparison, however Turkish food uses different spices and more red pepper and less spinach, and is very unique and incredibly delicious. But if you are in love with amazing flat breads, awesome rice, baklava in all its forms, and tender grilled lamb, chicken, or beef, then you already love Turkish food. So anyway, my wife and I have been living in Midland for a year hating life and praying for Turkish food. My wife is Turkish and is an amazing cook, but sometimes you want to go out to eat and have someone else do it! This is the place to go. So now let's talk about the food itself. First of all, they have lentil soup. It's very simple but very delicious, not too salty and not too thick. You get it with fresh flatbread that is made in the store. For an appetizer, we highly recommend the Lahmacun. For you boring Americans (like me) who have never had it, lahmacun is a thin crispy flatbread with a thin sauce of ground beef, onion, parsley, and a spicy sauce that is very thin. You top it with fresh veggies and roll it up, and it cracks as you do it. Then you chow down, it's amazing. Plus there's is the best we have had in the U.S. (and better than some we had in Turkey). So please try it when you visit. For the main course, we went with Kebabs. One steak and one chicken. The meat is tender, and served with more flat bread and incredibly seasoned and flavorful. The chicken in particular really blew my mind. If you've ever had tandoori chicken at an Indian place it is similar with slightly different spices. And if you are feeling bold, try Ayran. It's a creamy, ever so slightly salty drink made with yogurt. With anything spicy, Ayran perfectly balances the flavor and is a perfect complement to nearly any Turkish dish. We ate so much we could hardly move and had to take some home. But we finished it with Turkish tea which was also quite good. Next time we will take lots of pictures, we were too busy eating to think about it. If you want to take your date to some place different yet delicious and authentic, this is the spot to go to. Also, the owner was incredibly friendly and came and talked to us about all of the food and even recommended other Turkish restaurants in the area. They also make Pide, which is a lot like pizza, but we will have to try that next time. But judging by their other breads, I'm sure it is incredible. Don't be boring! Come eat here and being friends! Ordered food for delivery about 100 of food including the kebab platter, lentil soup, a salad, and a pideh. They didn't send the salad or the soup. The pideh was good, but cold by the time we got it, but that's not the restaurant's fault. The kabob platter was the biggest disappointment. Some pieces were good, but the rest were super dry. The platter had meat, bread, and two scoops of rice. No sauce- no onions- dry. I've never eaten at a Turkish place where kebabs were served without a salad or at least a small sauce. For $55 I was really surprised. We had the the delivery service refund the salad and soup but am so sad. Really wanted to have a nice family dinner. It really impressed me.Y husband and I had the small pizza appetizer which came with fresh parsley and lemon on the side so you can sit with the pizza. I recommend trying at least once. We also had the chicken kabob which was very flavorful and a little spicy. He had the Shish Kabob, great beef, also very flavorful. Both plates came with flat / pita bread served under and over the meat, they had the meat seasoning on them with was also very good. The plates also come with two salad types. Between the two of us we tried their 4 salads. I highly recommend getting the onion salad if you like onions. Goes great with the kabobs. Lastly, I know it's not for everyone, but I loved the yogurt drink. It's not sweet. It's a little salty and tasted of plain yogurt. I just moved to Plano and was very excited to try out this place because of all the great reviews. I got a small lahmacun to-go which was average but what really disappointed was it came with no onions, just a piece of lemon. No turkish person will eat lahmacun without tomatoes and onions.. i wouldnt have written a review because of the 5/10 lahmacun, but what got me so disappointed was the shish kebab plate I ordered. The meat was so dry, i literally have never seen such overcooked meat served in a restaurant. I literally ate 1 piece, was disappointed, tried another, and ended up throwing the whole plate out. Waste of my time and money. If you are advertising turkish food you need to meet certain standards. If you want good turkish food this isn't the spot. We stumbled upon this new Turkish cafe today and decided to stop in for lunch. Ordered a beef shish kebab and Adana kebab platters. The food was very good, authentic, and just the right amount of spices and oil. The platters came with rice, two salads, and flatbread. The Airan yogurt drink was good, too. We will try their flatbread style pizzas next time, too, and kebab is definitely as good as we expected. Will add this place to the favorites list. They also seem to have delivery through UberEats.
