Took our RV in to Anthem RV on Black Canyon Hwy. for repairs and also for some warranty work. We purchased our gently used RV from Anthem RV Sun City and picked it up from the service department out there so thought it was the best place to take it. They had our RV for over 2 months and we finally got it back around Christmas time. Thought maybe they lost it somewhere. Always no call or call back after leaving many many messages because no one ever answered their calls, voice mail is the norm. Went out there twice but during an RV show I guess no one is there that can answer questions about anything. Plus when we asked a few questions about other things we might want fixed, Tracy told it was old and hard to find parts for it. We bought the darn thing from their company with the warranty! Needless to say not everything was done. Parts ordered never came. Mice droppings all through the coach. They said it was the desert and they could not control that. Well, that was because it sat there for over 2 months!!! You would have thought they would have at least cleaned it up and did a walk thru to make sure everything was done. Maybe they would have seen the mouse droppings all over the counters and tables. That is no way to return a RV that was there for repairs! We will never take anything there for repairs and probably will never buy another RV from them. Sad, as we were so pleased with the Anthem RV in Sun City. Great Guys out there! read more

I just got home to Oregon with my new to me Monaco Coach.. I went to Arizona to trade in my Rv for a different one. I went to an RV show sponsered by Anthem RV and fell in love with the Monaco. Phil, the owner, was so great to work with, no pressure, extremely friendly, and he gave me a great deal. He was just so fantastic to work with. Everyone at Anthem was great!!! I love my coach and Don't plan to sell it but if I ever do I will make the trip from Oregon to Arizona to buy from Phil again at Anthem RV & Boat. Thanks to everyone at Anthem!! Service department was great Roger was always very accommodating. That being said I have nothing positive to say about the sales side since I left at least 2 messages for the sales rep and couldn't get a call back. I made Roger aware he said he would do what he could but still no call. I guess when I get my coach picked up next week I will be driving it somewhere else to trade it in. So I would definitely recommend there service department but good luck if you would like to buy a new coach! read more

Go elsewhere! Called to make a service appointment and they said they currently don't do service for anyone "outside." When I asked if that meant someone who didn't buy their RV there they said 'yes.' Which is funny, because they are listed as a Thor Warranty Service provider on the Thor site. I told them I would let Thor know. A few minutes after that call, a guy called me back from this dealer and said "yeah, we had a couple missed calls from you?" I said, no you didn't - I just talked to someone. He immediately got snarky and said "We just like to take care of people when they call" I pointed out the irony, since I did just talk to someone who said they don't take "outsiders." He said, that's right, we have 10,000 customers so we have plenty of work to keep us busy with our own customers. Does this sound like a dealership you would want to do business with? If I could give -5 stars I would. This place is the worst RV dealer on the planet. They make you feel great and taken care of because when they are selling you something they put their slimy salesman hats on. That they are good at. We went to an RV show and fell in love with an RV. We picked it up and took it home a week after purchasing it from the RV show. The night we brought it home we discovered that the lights were not hooked up properly and needed to be fixed. Then on our first outing we discovered that they didn't hook the water up properly. They didn't turn our paperwork into the bank on time requiring us to make our first payment to the dealership, who was supposed to send the payment to the bank but they did not do this and we started to get late notices from the bank. After they make the sale you are no longer a priority for them. They talk to you like you are stupid and do very little to take care of THEIR mistakes after the sale is complete. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will never take my trailer to them for any repairs. They clearly do not know what they are doing as our supposedly brand new trailer has already had several issues. These guys are complete idiots. read more

I would give these guy no stars. When I bought the Toyhauler about a year ago and picked it up the fireplace and several other things was not fixed like it should have been. They told me that they would order it and call me when it was ready. 8 months later and me calling every month it was finally in they told me they didn't have records of it. Took me over month to get in for service. They had it for over 4 months and kept telling me that they was working on it. I called multiple time to reach the owner Phil and was given the run around that he was never there. Leslie and Mark from the service department kept telling me that it was Forest River fault and they needed more time to fix the Kitchen Cabinets. When I called Forest River they said they already approved the time but Anthem RV wanted more than what was approved. I finally got ahold of the owner Phil after waiting on hold for over 15 minutes and asked him why he has never returned my calls. He blew me off and said he was to busy to call me back. I asked what the next steps are to fix it. Phil said he was trying to get Forest River to approve of it. I told him I talked to Forest River and they approved the time that was under the manufacture warranty. I told him that since I bought the product from him that he should honor the warranty and if he wants more then he needs to take it up with Forest River not me. He cut me off multiple times and when I asked him are you going to fix it or not. He said no he is not going to waste any more time or money on my RV. I picked it up the next day since I found another dealer that would fix it. When I got there they said the fireplace was fixed but when I checked it out the wood was new but the color didn't even match the rest of the cabinets. When I went back into talk to Leslie she told me what do you want me to do about and was extremely rude. She said she would have Mark Forester service manager call me back. It has been almost a week and never a call back. This is the worst company to buy from and there customer service is terrible. They act like used car salesman that once they sell it to you they don't care about fixing the problems and will not stand by their products they sell. I would not recommend my worst enemy to them. Worst place in the world to buy. Bought my rv cash, as a first time rv owner I asked about everything and was told it all worked. Less than 90 days of ownership it's been in shop 4 times and has cost me 5k in repairs. We purchased a 2016 Cardinal and 2009 Chevy Duramax from them in August 2018. Sales experience was fine but there where items that they promised in writing that they would have fixed and we had to fix ourselves. We left for our 2 week trip day we picked it up and 2nd day out had a huge leak in the bedroom area. When we got back we dropped it off to them and they had it for 3 wks and when we got it back leak still not fixed nor a simple dryer switch they had to fix. What we did get was some unwanted critters in our unit from it sitting on their lot. All they said was yeah that happens. Hundreds of dollars later we finally got rid of them after loosing alot of food and other items. 2 wks ago after many calls and drop ins they just got the part and we put it in ourselves. Finally since dryer is fixed we are able to use the washer for the first time and the leak they fixed in washer area was not fixed as our bedroom flooded again. When we bought the unit they told us about the PDI inspection they do.Well it's a POS!! They are suppose to make sure all is working and clean the unit top to bottom. Well that also did not happen. The cabinets and cupboard had at least a yrs worth of dust in them, the toilet was filthy on the outside. They never tested the dishwasher and it's is missing a very small piece but important piece and they have done nothing with it. Obviously not checked at time of PDI. All they did was wipe the outside areas and vacuum. Spray down the outside. It was never detailed as they said it would be. I have called several times to the service department and even the owner Phil with no return calls. We are obviously patient understanding people since we have waited for almost coming up on a year since we picked up the unit. There are other issues that I have not even brought up and they are aware of and still nothing from them. We purchased a warranty on the unit and they still cannot get leak and other items fixed. At this point I cannot and would not recommend them for Sales or Service. If you decide to purchase from them make sure you open and test everything before taking possession. If you have to take it in for service make sure you leave out bait/poison for critters and check everything before you leave. The fact we have not gotten a return call tells you what to expect from Anthem RV!!!! read more

Went to their RV show on 10/7/2018 and purchased a used Jayco trailer for around $20k. We were told since the following day was Columbus day that the loan would be processed Tuesday. We were also told that we would take possession of the unit within 10 days. Everything sounded great. My wife and I made camping reservations 2 weeks out expecting to have the trailer by then. Over the next week I made numerous phone calls to try to lock down a specific time with no luck of getting anyone on the phone. Finally today I get Paul, a sales manager, on the phone and he tells me he will get my pick up tentatively scheduled for Thursday. He then calls me back later and tells me the loan hasn't even been processed yet. I ask why and he says "I plead arrogance" and passes the buck to the "guy who handles finance." He didn't even realize it had been over a week since my purchase. I told him I wanted to speak with the GM and not the finance guy because he clearly isn't doing his job and is going to give me the run around. Paul then tells me there is no GM and that the owner will call me. If he actually remedies the situation I will update my review, but for any business to think this is acceptable is beyond me. read more

Both were were honest and upfront about the timing - took a little while for all the repairs but Roger was direct and kept us up to date on progress. Beware! Service department really bad. Bought new trailer, made appointment weeks in advance for new warranty work, got there they had know idea. OK, left it anyways. 2 weeks later with no phone call I called. They hadn't even touched it. Pull RV and went to someone else. Then could not get it licensed at DMV without an MCO. I consigned my Diesel pusher R.V. with them and initially the dealings were pretty good and mostly professional. After 3 months and no calls from them I started checking regularly and I was told people were looking just no serious offers yet. I decided to go pick it up and list it my self. As i was there to pick it up Phil the manager was called and he said he was taking it over to there Surprise facility because he had a buyer and they wanted to save money on the sales tax so they were taking it there to make the deal with less tax. The manager from that facility called and I took several hours out of my Sunday to drive over there and make a deal when actually there was no offer the deal was they wanted me to pay them $55,000.00 for them to take my motor home and they would put in a toy hauler for another $549.00 a month for the next 15 years. I told them that would not work and I would pick up my motor home and sell it my self. I went to pick it up a second time and Phil said we are going to a big show this weekend I am sure we can sell it there. i said O.K. fine I will pick it up next week if you don't sell it. I went the next week to pick up my motor home and Phil is no where to be found and one of my slide out awnings is torn and the latch is broken that holds the screen door to the main door. I ask for those 2 items to be fixed and I would pick it up the next week. Go back the next week and the slide out awning is not on the motor home Phil is still no where to be found and nobody has a clue what is going on. I told them I would be back the next day to pick it up. I came back the next day they had pulled it out front for me and I look it over and someone opened 1 of the slides with a rear lower compartment door open and scratched it and my power plug adapters and sewer dump hose had been stolen or miss placed and still have no answer on that. This ordeal was a total of 5 months they lied to me 2 times about buyers damaged my motor home and offered no satisfaction what so ever. I obviously do not recommend them for consignment . read more

terrible service department. Bought a new toy hauler from them and after our first trip, we noticed the heater did not work. They had 3 weeks to replace the broken heater before i needed the camper. I let them know several days before i went to pick it up. I got the camper home and found a hole where the heater belongs. The broken heater was in the garage of my toy hauler. After calling to let them know i was leaving first thing the next morning, they sent someone out to put in the new heater. Next time they were to fix a closet door. Got i home, the closet door was not fixed the trim piece had been removed and not replaced. 3rd time. We were preparing for a trip and had the camper plugged in to charge the batteries (we had almost new Optimum batteries...2 of them, taken from our trade in and put in this toy hauler by anthem RV). Next morning as we were preparing to leave, unplugged our camper and absolutely no battery!!!! Since we were headed out on I-10 east, we called a service manager at Camping World Avondale to see if they could look at it. They said sure so we headed out. They checked it and found one of the batteries had been cross threaded which caused an arc and shorted out the battery shut off switch. It could have burned down our camper...and us if we were in it. Warranty covered the switch and repair and we were on our way. While camping, however, we realized the batteries were not holding a charge so we dropped it off at camping World when we returned to town. The practically new batteries had been fried from the cross threading. We called Anthem to get them to pay to replace the batteries since they were responsible for the installation of the batteries. This business doesn't warrant even a one star rating! Do yourself a favor and think twice or even more before considering ever doing business with them. They will tell you how they have THE BEST Service Department in AZ, then screw up a simple oven installation and when you try to get it resolved, they are suddenly non existent. However, they are THE BEST at ignoring phone calls, voicemails and emails. Don't bother trying to get an issue resolved with Mark Forester the Service Manager at their Black Canyon location, because he really doesn't care if you're unhappy. No one in the entire business, from Martin Olson the Sales Mgr at the Sun City location to Phil Olson the supposed Owner, all have no business or customer service skills to speak of and really should not be allowed to run a business ...if that's what they are considered. They are the true definition of how to run a bad businses. Best decision you can make when it comes to doing business with this place, is to drive right past them. Just traded for a smaller camper and had a very good experience was treated very fairly and honestly, their service department has been very good to us in the past, Mark and Ty are very good at what they do. I found what I thought was the perfect 5th wheel/toy hauler, and sent my wife all the way out there (45 minutes) and found that this coach was a mess, things were loose or torn from the walls, dirty, smelly and too much to mention. What I learned is the photos they used were from another coach that was really in great shape. This is not how you do business if you want people to return. Had a wonderful experience at first. They helped out, fought for us so we could get this toy hauler at a good rate, but after it was pulled off the lot there was no follow through on the agreement. I guess it was my fault for not refusing to take it at the time, but I had traveled over two hours to pick it up, and was charged $1400 for the Pre-Delivery Inspection, so I assumed it should be good to go. I noticed the awning was a foot shorter than the awning frame at pick-up with self tapping screws in the awning frame and the side of the trailer to keep the small awning from moving. Noted on the paperwork that the proper size needed to replace that. The Black Tank Gauge was supposed to be fixed, it was not. I was told to put some ice in it and drive around. Did not work. Shortly after leaving the site I noticed that one of the supposedly new tires had separated tread halfway around the circumference. Yet to see promised reimbursement for tires and a proper awning...two monthly payments later. read more

Terrible place to do business. Phil difficult to deal with, has habit of not returning calls timely. The service department is a total waste. My 5th wheel was there on one occasion from October 31,2014 until February 6,2015 and everything was still not fixed. Our 5th wheel was at the dealer for either prep after the sale or repairs for 21 weeks out of the first year. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone looking for an RV of any type. The good service stops after the sale is completed. You owe it to yourself to check out this dealer's lot before you complete the purchase. Their service department is a mess, don't recommend walking around the site as you may hurt yourself on all the junk lying around, everything from old tires, parts of various sizes, and even junky old RV's. Last time I was there one employee in the service area told the employee helping me I should leave through the north gate and the employee responded "no way it would take 30 minutes to find the key for the gate". Hind sight is 20/20 as we purchased at a RV show away from the dealers place of business and should have tried to cancel the sale even to the extent of losing our deposit once we saw the home place of business. Unfortunately we know now so for your own good check them out before you buy. It is hard to express how frustrating it was trying to deal with Phil. He did not return calls as promised, returned very few messages left on his voice mail or with other employees, many times his voice mail was full and I couldn't leave a message, and his service department was the same.
