I have been to Anthony's before but today was a bit of a special day. My grandson took me to lunch and we sat out on the patio under the umbrellas. This was a first visit for my grandson so The patio was our choice of seating. We had a very attentive server named Tim who was spot on without helicoptering. My escort had done his research and knew he wanted the clam chowder for starters. And then he ordered a buttermilk chicken bacon burger which he rated delicious. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted and then I decided I would have the one item on the menu with the most words in its title. The description sounded good and the name was amusing. So I had Bering SeaTrue Cod Caddy Ganty. It is a Cod dish marinated in white wine and cooked with sour cream red onions and fresh dill. It was served with almond Rice pilaf containing golden raisins and fresh herbs and accompanied by perfectly cooked green beans. It was delicious. It is peach season right now so there were several offerings with fresh peaches. We sampled The peach lemonade which was quite refreshing.. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and mused about the deep fried lasagna that somebody probably was eating across the way at Pigout in the Park!! read more

I'll be honest: I was a little skeptical of Anthony's before our visit. I was expecting pretty average food in a restaurant in a great location overlooking the falls. Maybe because of those low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. I had the rockfish taco, which was pretty average. Ditto with the chowder that came with it. My mom's salad was also pretty standard and average. My wife's poke bowl, however, was great. 4 stars due to the poke bowl, very friendly and efficient service, and great location. If you want to eat in a very nice location, with great service, and average or better food, Anthony's is worth a visit. read more

My husband and I were driving around Spokane and stumbled upon Anthony's by accident. They had a sign out front that said something about fresh peaches, so I pulled in not knowing if we were going to visit a farmers market or a restaurant. Thankfully, it was a restaurant. I ordered the French dip for lunch with the side house salad ($1.00+) instead of french fries, and my husband ordered the Icelandic cod, I believe, with the house salad instead of french fries. I could wear rhapsodically about the house salad all day long: crisp greens, chunks of blue cheese, I see shrimp and homemade croutons. get the picture? It was delicious! As for my French dip, the meat was very lean and thinly sliced, the way I like it. there was a little bit of mayo on the fresh roll and the horseradish they served on the side was sharp and zesty, which is the only way to serve it. My husband shared a little of my sandwich and I shared a little bit of his fish and chips. His fish was the platonic form of fish and chips as far as I'm concerned. in total, our whole bill was 35 bucks for this wonderful lunch overlooking the Spokane Falls. Service was good and what would be expected of fine dining. Nice ambiance with a wonderful view of the Spokane falls. The problem was the food. The clam chowder was so thick it was clam pudding, the smal salad I had was good, and the halibut my husband was very dry. Every time I come to Spokane I always make sure to stop by Anthony's. It has reasonable prices, AMAZING views and good service. They don't try to do much, with only 3 page menu which I APPRECIATE!!! Be awesome with a few items vs being average with a lot of items. I always get the salmon tacos, clam chowder (it's amazing says this guy from Boston), and one of their ales. It gets a bit cold inside with the AC so bring a jacket. If you haven't, try to get a seat outside at least once for the view. Thanks!!! read more

I'll start with the views are amazing here. You should come here once for just the view. Get a window seat or eat outside if you can. After that this restaurant is just ok. The service is "ok" maybe even a little slow to be honest. The food was cooked perfectly but lacked enough flavor for either of us. We had the clams for an appetizer. I ordered the scallops and asked for mashed potatoes with them but didn't get them for some reason.. my husband ordered the halibut and ended up putting the butter we got for our bread on it. My advice is go here order a drink and an appetizer and then go somewhere else for dinner. read more

The server was sweet, but she knew nothing about the wine menu and not much more about the actual menu. I don't think she'd eaten anything there, and I can't say I blame her. I asked for my husband and I to be seated outside near the balcony (there was an empty table) - the host lied and said a large party was coming (saw only two people at the table later). Was a little disappointed in our visit. Service was great and we were greeted by the friendly hostess and our server was attentive. The view is amazing!While the others in our party loved their food, mine was half yummy and half blah. I ordered the clam chowder which was delicious. Rich and creamy and full of flavor. The sourdough bread was awesome. For dinner I ordered the fried oysters. They were cooked to perfection. Not over breaded, or over fried. They were yummy. My issue was with the rice pilaf and Asian slaw. I must have gotten the tail end of the rice, it was a little hard and crispy. The slaw didn't have a lot of flavor and it was warm, not cold, like it had been sitting out on the counter. At $34, I expected better. Next time we are in town we will give them another try, and hopefully I can give a better review. read more

My family and I decided to go here during lunch after walking around the park. FYI they only accept reservations to sit outdoor front row for the best view of the falls. The food was pretty good for the price, drinks as well. The only problem we had was the service. We arrived at 12pm, our waitress didn't come to the table until 12:15. We ordered our drinks which took another 15 minutes to arrive. It got to the point where we stacked our plates and empty glasses on the side of the table to signal to our waitress we were done but she never came. We finally had to go to the bar to order another round of drinks. Overall it was a decent experience as we had a great view. Visited Wednesday 12/27/2023 We had the sunset abbreviated menu. The 3 course I chose was the clam chowder which was quite good. The salmon & shrimp main course was poor the salmon was dry totally flavorless with no sauce or added flavoring I could detect. It came with perhaps a dozen small salad shrimp that were embarrassing to say the least. My wife had the Caesar salad that was good . Her main course the London Broil had some flavor but was very tough the good news again was the small portion. We had a lemonade and a hot tea. The bill with 20% gratuity for good service from Amy was $99.00. This was the most I have ever paid for small portions and mediocre quality food. Not sure if I will try them again or not. read more

We came here to celebrate our engagement with my soon to be Parents-in-Law. Some of the best fish I've ever had (especially away from the ocean). We arrived right as they opened, and sat on the patio overlooking the falls. Easy to find a place in the shade. They were very clean and respectful in light of the pandemic. We had the option of accessing a menu on our phones using a QR code, or disposable menus. Prices are high, but fair, and they were delighted to substitute extra green beans for mashed potatoes. Some of the BEST green beans I've ever had. The steelhead I had was fantastic. Cooked perfectly. My fiance is a vegetarian, and while they had no vegetarian entrees on the menu, a quick question to the waiter revealed an incredible pasta primavera that was not only chock full of excellent veggies, but also filled up my fiance enough that he had a snack for later in the event. read more

I end up at Anthony's about once every eight years and it never fails to disappoint. Last month I experienced that unique experience of having one of their highlighted specialties, salmon cakes. This dish is highly recommended for those allergic to seafood, as there is no, none, nada seafood to be found in their salmon cakes. read more

I had the steak and salmon entree which was excellent - only room for improvement was with the sauce on the salmon took away from the natural salmon flavor. The winner of the night was the cob salad - it was strawberry season and the feature so we asked to add some sliced strawberries which really made the salad pop. I couldn't even remotely taste any liquor or alcohol in the drink. Appetizers: The breading on the fried calamari was tasty but soggy. Green bean tempura was good. Entrees: Two of us got the Crab/Shrimp fettuccine. One got the salmon fettuccine. All tasted great but all three dishes had an embarrassing amount of meat on each plate. For a $30+ plate, there was MAYBE a tablespoon's worth of crab meat on each two of the dishes. The shrimp was also lacking. I imagined there would be more mixed in but there was none. It was only sprinkled on top. The salmon fettuccine had a marginal amount more. Our server was nice but absolutely no other aspects of this restaurant made this worth the $200 we paid for our 3 meals, drinks, and appetizers. read more

Amazing views and excellent staff make this an excellent happy hour choice. We love the ahi poke nachos the most! Great deal at happy hour! Martinis are strong and made excellent. Baked Dungeness Crab, Shrimp & Artichoke Dip is delicious! Clam chowder always tasty. The dinner menu here is very pricey. I just think the food on the dinner menu should be better tasting. The steaks here are frankly very average with price tags in the upper 30's to 40's. I can do scallops much better at home than Anthony's does. The appetizers are way over priced for what you get if not on happy hour. Overall though it is an excellent place to take visitors that has an excellent happy hour with spectacular views and a very attentive staff. Enjoy the free valet parking! We've eaten here many, many times and have never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly, seafood is consistently good, good wine and beer list and the view is spectacular. The prices are consistent with the food and quality. The only thing that's a bit odd is no matter how full or empty, reservation or not, the hostess will always make you sit and cool your heels while they gab for five minutes or so before you're seated. we've been here dozens of times and it happens every. single. time. so I'm guessing they are actually trained to do this? doesn't happen at the other Anthonys we have dined at though. I have lived in Spokane nearly my entire life, and somehow never eaten here before. I ended up coming here for Valentine's Day dinner, and was very pleased. The filet and salmon were both excellent, and I loved the burnt cream dessert. Unfortunately I cannot remember our server's name, but she was excellent. Very helpful and friendly all night even though we ended up staying fairly late. The patio view looking out over the river is excellent, and I'll have to try eating here on a summer night. I will say, the view is the single most amazing view in Spokane. If you have never tried Anthony's, it might be worth the one time just to see the falls. The service wasn't the quality you'd expect for somewhere like this, they weren't overly happy but they also weren't overly crappy either. Just kinda walking around, meh, not a lot of smiles. Some smiles and some more acting like they actually care to be there might take them a long way. (To be fair, maybe I had a bad experience with our servers, it was a Wednesday and it wasn't overly busy so maybe they were just over it.) As for the food, not really worth the price. We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and at the beginning everything seem fine the service was fast because there was literally only 2 more parties at that time. The food was okay 3/5 The thing that really bothered me was that we went there for an special occasion and usually when you go out and spend lots of money you would think they could give us at least a piece of cake with a candle so we can celebrate but NO the waitress was rude and said "Yeah no we don't do that here but you can have a coupon for your next birthday" like I am definitely not coming back !! and she was also making comments like "I should have just put a candle in your food" as if we are gonna sing happy birthday with a plate of oysters.
