We had a 3:15 reservation for Mother's Day took us 10-15 minutes until we got seated but checked the people who were walk ins. Our overall dinner took 2 hrs did not serve water waited another 5 min to even get us started. The server spilled my drink and spilled on my dress, gave an unapologetic apology and walked away, if I wasn't with company I would go to the manager and complained The food was okay, that was the worst service I have ever experienced and we go to Anthony's all the time and today goes to show they didn't train their servers, rude and didn't prioritize the people that had reservations. I met a friend for quick bite so while I did not have a main entre, the dessert was very good. It was very well balanced, flavorful and not very sweet. My friend wanted a hot chocolate and while they did not have any at hand. The staff made it possible to serve a hot chocolate . We do think it's a bit overpriced though, pricing out some of the main plates. I went for the 6oz top sirloin and really enjoyed it! Classic steak with a yummy sear! Fresh broccolini and soft potatoes. We also ordered the petrale sole which was okay. We thought it was a too greasy and weren't really fans of the almond flavor. This spot has been serving delicious food for decades, and it's easy to see why it remains a local favorite. The views over Lake Washington are stunning, with the bonus of free parking below. The menu truly has something for everyone. We came with a group of 17 and sampled just about everything--scallops, salmon, halibut, chowder--you name it, and it was all excellent. Portions are generous and the variety is impressive. We started with a few appetizers: the calamari was solid, the crab dip didn't quite hit the mark, but the Ahi nachos were both delicious and beautifully presented. Since it was peach season, we also enjoyed their craft cocktails with seasonal flair, and they ended up being the highlight of the evening--creative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I'm a bit torn on this. Should be 3.5 stars. Ambiance was excellent. Service was good too. But the food was a mixed bag except dessert which was complimentary because of the kitchen mistakes - dessert was outstanding. We got tempura ahi roll - it was mostly tasteless. Fried calamari were kind of okay, but I had lots of the better ones. We specifically chosen the restaurant as it was serving Alaskan Copper River King salmon, which is seasonal and only available a few weeks a year. The dish everyone got was cedar plank seared copper river salmon - it was not inexpensive ($49), but I guess worth the experience. Two dessert dishes were an absolute standout, but I didn't take pictures and can't tell you what they were :( Service was prompt and friendly. Not a bad experience all in all. read more

The steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how we all wanted them to be done. The view across Lake Washington makes for such a beautiful view to go with delicious food. However the reason wr keep coming back is the stellar service. Ceci, our waiter tonight, was so friendly and attentive. She recommended a wine that paired perfectly with the steak and even made sure to follow-up with how it went with the meal. Afterwards, she was even kind enough to take a photo outside for us to remember our Father's Day celebration. I have been to Anthony's for work dinners soooo many times that I didn't know I never wrote a review for them until I saw the Yelp reminder. Oops. I didn't take photos. Oops. Anyway... Anthony's in Kirkland has been around for decades. Located by the water in downtown, they have their own two mini parking lots beneath their building, but spots are very challenging on sunny days. For the most recent visit, I had to park up the hill, a block and a half away in the residential area. (Tip: I don't drive along Lake Street cuz parking is worse with everyone wanting to enjoy the sun.) So, I have been coming here for maybe 2.5 decades. Definitely kudos to them for still being in business. Having said that, I find their food to be reasonably okay but never quite a homerun. Their entree prices are reasonable for the address (other items are par). The restaurant still looks the same. The service is attentive. My server took my crazy modification with a smile. The Food: Classic Caesar, $12 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Crisp romaine, homemade dressing and croutons, finished with Parmesan This is the order with the crazy modification. I like my Caesar plain - no croutons, no extra Parmesan. She understood, and I got exactly want I wanted. Wild Alaska Black Cod, $32 - 3 Stars Menu: Ginger-miso glazed, cashew crusted over crispy slaw, almond basmati rice pilaf & seasonal vegetables The black cod was pretty good. I thought it was a touch mushy, which is surprising. I was not a fan of the rice nor the veggies. The rice was watery. The veggies are both overcooked and undercooked - can't cook brussels sprouts in the same pot as other veggies. Brussels sprouts are always undercooked while the peppers, etc. are overcooked. The food every time is delicious and so fresh! I have come here twice for work dinners within two weeks of each other and that just shows that this is one of our favorite spots! Their seafood fettuccini was a crowd favorite and they can make it gluten free! They have new daily specials which is a nice mix up to their menu. One star. We left without finishing our food, and I won't be coming back. I want to be honest about what happened at Anthony's in Kirkland, because no one should be treated the way my wife was. From the moment she spoke and they heard her accent, everything changed. The smile at the front desk faded. The warmth disappeared. Suddenly we were getting attitude instead of hospitality -- and the only thing that changed was the sound of her voice. I noticed it, she noticed it, and it set the tone for the entire visit. We had a reservation and asked to sit outside. Then we waited. And waited. While we stood there, I watched multiple parties walk in with no reservation at all and get seated ahead of us. Forty minutes went by before anyone bothered to seat the people who actually called ahead. By the time we finally sat down, we got a call from home -- we have a baby -- and had to leave. We never even finished our food. A night we'd been looking forward to turned into 40 minutes of being made to feel unwelcome in our own city. Treating someone differently because of an accent isn't a small thing. It's the kind of experience that stays with you. Anthony's has a reputation, but reputations are built on how you treat people -- and they failed badly. We won't be back. read more

It's easy to forget the iconic restaurants with so many new ones popping up. I am so glad I rediscovered Anthony's Homeport in Kirkland. An e-mall about their Jan M-Th $36 surf & turf sounded like a delicious deal. It was! This restaurant makes dining so easy, plenty of free covered parking. The clearly marked elevator took us straight up to the restaurant. I loved not being outside in the rain & cold. We were welcomed warmly right away. We were sat at a lovely table by the window overlooking the beautiful Lake Washington marina. I had forgotten the beautiful water views or else I would have booked an earlier seating. The outside lights were still pretty. Our server was friendly and attentive. Everything on the menu was reasonable priced and offered great options. We ordered the steak & scallop and steak and shrimp entrees. Both steaks were cooked rare as requested, thick & juicy. Served with delicious potatoes & broccolini. We ended the meal with a seasonal apple bread pudding, which tasted like the holidays in a bowl! It was a fantastic dining experience and a reminder of why this iconic spot has lasted so long. Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. There's a parking garage underneath which makes this a convenient place to visit. We had a weekday dinner reservation (after sunset) and it was pretty empty. Our server was extremely nice, felt a little like she was gentle parenting us haha which is positive! But not what we're used to for sure haha. We ordered calamari for the table (super crunchy, but a bit too salty) and I got a surf and turf with the half Dungeness crab. I get that there's weekday deals where the dish is $30, but normal price is ~$60 and I'm not sure if it was worth $60. The plating was sad, which is disappointing given the aesthetic of the restaurant. Most of our group ordered steak, and the cook was very inconsistent for the same temp. Mine was cooked fine, but it was just a very mediocre steak. The brussels sprouts and potatoes were mid too. The only star was the crab. Not pre-cracked unfortunately, but always worth the work. The crab was fresh and super sweet. For dessert we got the bread pudding and "burnt cream" which is their crème brûlée. The bread pudding was really good, crème brûlée was a little too egg-y and the sugar layer on top was thicker than I'd like. Overall, not a horrible place. But I'd really only come for their sunset meal or $30 surf and turf. I wouldn't pay full price for their stuff. If you're gunna splurge on a meal with a view, there are better places. read more

Went here for my cousins welcome dinner for her wedding. Got an amazing view of the lake where they sat all 20 of us. One comment was even tho the view was amazing it was really hot getting direct sunlight. Fought it with sunglasses and shifting of our seats. I'd recommend going prior to the sun hitting the windows. Anyways the food there was amazing, we got shrimp to share and ended up doing the fish and chips. Highly recommend if you really don't know what else to get. I mean, rice pilaf? Service was random. Our server was nice but not genuinely attentive. They got my $48 order wrong. Scallops were a little leathery. Food was very mediocre and a child could have plated it better. Luckily we had a gift certificate. How is this place still in business? Oh wait, Kirkland is full of convalescent homes. At some point, we took the restaurant for granted and fell into the habit of traveling into Seattle for special occasion meals or when entertaining out-of-town guests. Recently, we returned to Anthony's and were impressed by the excellent dining experience. It has always been good but it seems like management has upped their game. The welcoming staff was friendly and seated us quickly. Our martinis were wicked good. The food was delicious (ginger-miso glazed cod - yum!) and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The view was, of course, outstanding and the lighting and decor inside of the restaurant contributed to a special night out. We have gone back several times since then and the quality has been consistent. I am so glad that we have this Kirkland gem. I highly recommend Anthony's. YAY! My family of 3, including an infant, came here on a Tuesday at 4pm! We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view on such a nice day. It actually got a bit too warm sitting in the sun but the view was worth it! The hostess and waiters were accommodating and friendly. We ordered a few appetizers and drinks to get our evening started. The ahi appetizer was my favorite. I thought it was a top a tortilla chip but after review, it's a taro chip! How unique and interesting! I would describe the flavors as sweet, tangy, rich, and fresh.
