Ordered brunch online to go on a Saturday, the food was ready on time and it was great! I ordered the Antigua breakfast with eggs, platanos, black beans and tortillas. Breakfast burritos are delicious!!! The best chorizo burrito I have had in a long time. Their lattes are amazing too! Mon-Fri, their burritos are $7.95 and $10.95 on the weekends. Staff are always very friendly and kind. They offer a lot of other menu options. However, I have only ever had their burritos and lattes. Highly recommend giving this place a look. Welcomed right when opening the door, that's always nice when going to a place for the first time. My wife and I wanted to try because we always passed by the one in Highland Park. We both ordered the ice horchata lattes one with whipped cream and one without. I'd say get the whipped cream. For the food, we ordered some pastries, guava, chocolate croissant, and concha. I like how the pastries paired well with the coffee because they were light and not overly sugary like every other coffee shop. My friends and I really enjoy eating and take out at Antigua. The food and flavors of the meals are very good. Customer service is the best as the staff is so nice and helpful. The one big negative about this place is that they are so unusually slow about getting your meal ready. Several times we have waited 20+ minutes for our meal. The counter service was super friendly and made great recommendations on what to get when I was torn between the Mañanero or the Ultimate breakfast. The Ultimate breakfast was such an all around great tasting meal, with every item on the plate busting with flavor! The steak was tender and seasoned perfectly! Those beans really made me shed a tear in showing the greatness of the humble black bean. My partner ordered the Chapin sandwich and wow, that bread is absolutely something else. The crust, such a soft and yet satisfying crisp, whereas the crumb is SO airy and delicate, perfect to soak up that awesome beans! The potatoes were wonderfully seasoned and had a wonderful texture. I visited Antigua Bread in Laverne today. The restaurant was very clean. Customer service was great. The ambiance is very nice and family oriented. The food was good, prices are decent, However it look a long time to be served, the ketchup bottles were empty, the water dispenser was empty. I had to ask for necessary supplies needed at my table. I sat in the corner left side of the restaurant and the temperature was very cold that made it very uncomfortable for me and my family. As I was eating I heard the same comments from other clients who were seated in the same area. (Place being cold). There were more positive things than bad. Will I go back? So yummy and such a great place! Friendly people and the service was great. We ordered breakfast and it came with black beans and a queso and brought me back to when I visited Guatemala. There is patio seating so I was able to bring my dog (she also enjoyed the cheese!). The coffee was delicious. And it wasn't as costly as some other breakfast places where you get much less food. Tamale 10/10 recommend Platanos 10/10 recommend Black beans 1/10 - I'm use to refried beans but they were whole. Ok fine BUT they were burned, someone burned the pot while making them so the entire pot will taste nasty. The selection of pan dulce- 2/10 it was very Americanized bread and not pan dulce. I wouldn't consider this place a bakery. I will definitely be going back. Hopefully they get some actual Guatemalan bread in. read more

So far so good. I was getting my car detailed across the street and needed a warm place to wait. The cashier recommended I come here. I ordered a hot beverage and it was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. It's spotlessly clean. The staff are patient and amazing which matters to me bc I am older and I don't always have the quickest response to questions and I sometimes fumble with my phone when it's time to pay. They said they would call my name when my beverage was ready but they brought it to me. I was here early in the morning, I fast every morning until lunch so I wasn't able to get food however, everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal. I didn't drive here so, I don't know much about the parking situation. They have an outside seating area where families with babies and strollers were enjoying themselves. The decor is gorgeous!! I like a simple and sleek look. The music is a little loud for my liking. They offer a rewards system, free WiFi, and a self-serve water station. They never want to honor it, instead they said that the coupon had already been use. This is advertised as a café and bakery. The coffee is great. The pastries are minimal and very basic. The meal I ordered to go was a steak quesadilla. I live half a block away and the meal was already cold, and had to reheat. It had been hot at one time because the cheese was melted, but was pretty solid by the time I got home. I don't know if it sat too long in their kitchen before they give it to me?? This place is convenient and close to home so I will go back for the coffee.
