Went to try this place after seeing it on Yelp, and let me just say how unique and tasty it was! We told the cashier that it was our first time in, and she was so nice and helpful, and even provided us with a couple recommendations. So we ended up trying the pupusas, which are like a stuffed flatbread comparable to a quesadilla, but the taste is completely different and really good. I ended up trying the Revuelta (Cheese, Bean, Pork), Chicharron y Queso (Pork and Cheese, and the Pollo y Queso (Chicken and Cheese). All three were delectable, but I think my favorite was the Pollo y Queso. It comes with a pickled cabbage slaw with tomato sauce, that we used to dip the pupusas in which was such a good flavor combination that you wouldn't expect. And the coffee was really good as well! The staff was so friendly, you really get the feeling that this is someone's mom or pop cooking just for you. Family own and family run.. support your small business. I absolutely love this place. The owners are super nice, and they truly love what they do. Their popusas are like nothing else. I had other ones, and these ones are by far my favorite. My daughter was in the hospital, and my husband brought us some popusas, and the owner sent us a slice of quesadilla bread she knew how much we love it. I love the hibiscus tea with no extra flavors or sugar added. Just like that, it's delicious. They do have more than just popusas they have a small menu with some good breakfast and lunch items. But if you want some of the loroco popusas, you need to put your order early because they are their most famous popusas that she runs out pretty quick. But hey, I suggest that you come by and check it out for yourself. I am telling you that you won't be disappointed at all. Great food and great family serving you. read more

We went to try a new place and to give some support to a new, locally owned business during these trying times for restaurants. Inside we found a great selection of different foods for a coffee shop. Their signature dishes were Papusas which originate in the El Salvador and Central America area. Pupusas are traditionally served with curtido (a pickled cabbage relish, analogous to German Sauerkraut and Korean kimchi that comes in mild and spicy varieties) and tomato sauce, and are traditionally eaten by hand. They are similar to the Mexican Gordita, but gorditas are usually open at one end. They are hearty enough to serve as a lunch item with a coffee or soft drink. Coffee is Dawson and Taylor. Other food items available included fajitas, pastries, and meat and guava cream, flake pastry pies. The cooking is all done by the owner and she cooks to order. We enjoyed the food and free wifi. This adorable little coffee house is a must try. But is it so much more than coffee. The sweet gal behind the front counter gave me a crash course in all the different foods they have, and this is their specialty. The pupusas sounds delightful. I have been here twice, one for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times the food and drinks were great. I have tried the breakfast burrito, Antigua breakfast, and a few different pupusas. The only note is the food is made to order, so don't come in a rush, but everything is worth the wait. The food is truly unique and tasty. I was in the Fred Meyer/McDonalds parking lot this morning and saw that a new coffee shop had popped up that I haven't tried yet. I pulled into the driveway and a super friendly barista took my order. I had a French Press coffee and the Guava Cream Cheese pastry. Holy cow this pastry is amazing!! It's sweet and crunchy and tropical. They are made fresh everyday, and it shows! My coffee was wonderful as well. Incredible. The coffee flavor comes through, without a burnt taste and the Antigua smoothie might be the best I've had. The food really popped, the pupusa my wife had was one of the best she's had. Coffee was fine, but my wife wanted peppermint in her latte, and they didn't carry that flavor. Their "coffee guy" had just left, so the young girl that made our coffee took 10 minutes to make 2 lattes. I also had the breakfast burrito, which was tasty, but extremely messy: dripped everywhere, and basically fell apart. Very friendly people, but out of their element: no ambience at all. Their concept would work as a street café in an interesting area, but as a stand-alone store, it is sorely lacking. read more

Had not been by this area in awhile, so first time trying Antigua for coffee, etc. Got a nice blend coffee made just right, but my real treat and reason for 5 stars was the PASTRY surprise. I asked about snacks, expecting the usual cookie or muffin choices. But instead going out they had almond croissants and choices of "PUFF PASTRY", in guava and cream cheese, Nutella and cream cheese, or strawberry and cream cheese. Chose the guava, even heated for me, and it was absolutely deeelicious! Soft yet still crunchy outer with generous scrumptious filling! Antigua Coffee has been a second home for me while I'm in school. The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and go above and beyond to keep you coming back. The coffee is better than anywhere else in town. The pastries are fresh and homemade. The food is fantastic and unlike anywhere else in the area. There is a warm fireplace with a couch for cold mornings, and in the afternoon there is plenty of sunshine getting in.
