Things happen for a reason because about an hour before I came here, I tried sitting at the bar and ordering pizza from another restaurant in town but they turned me away because there kitchen was closing (despite me arriving there 40 minutes before closing) so I was walking down the street with pizza on my mind. I was directed by some young men to check out a spot and when I did I realized it was your late night drunk pizza slice joint. Not what I wanted so I left there empty handed too. I was defeated and starving and was considering walking back to my hotel and door dashing junk when all of a sudden, a girl turns the corner of the block I'm standing at with a pizza box in her hands. I said "Yo girl where did you get that pizza from and are they still open!?" She said, "Antonia's and yes!" I told her I tried getting there before but my maps got me lost and she told me it was down by the Barnes and Noble, hidden from the street, which makes sense why I didn't see it on the main drag. So in I go, it's small, it's cute, it looks like people are making magic happen in the back. I am greeted by the owner of the place and I told him I wanted to order some pizza. I definitely came to the right place. They had a personal pizza, exactly what I wanted and so many options! I made small talk with the guy, told him I was from New York and he insisted I come back to let him know what I thought and then told me his pizza is very different from New York Pizza. So this is me coming back to tell you what I thought. You rock and your pizza ROCKS. I had trouble deciding which to get and he guided me. I went with the Margherita despite him telling me it was simple and straightforward. That's exactly what I wanted. He told me to get the SLO crust, which was a house made crust seasoned with herbs and spices, oregano and garlic, he insisted it had the most flavor the one I should go with, so I did. They had SO many crust options and pizza options like: meat lovers, Hawaiian, veggie, greek, mediterranean, bbq chicken and many more. I also ordered sweet potatoe fries which is so wild for me because I never do that but I was on vacation and this place gave me happy good vibes. He said it would be about 20 minutes so I took a walk and when I came back it was ready and like $35. Woof. I thought that was expensive kind of but also I ordered a pizza to myself and fries so I was just really hoping it was worth it. Spoiler alert: it was SO WORTH IT. I got back to my hotel, took the pizza and sweet potato fries and garlic sauce on the side went out onto my balcony and was in absolute vacation heaven. The pizza WAS SO GOOD and SO different. It was unlike any pizza I had ever had before and so not my style but I loved it. The crust was soft but thick and fluffy but also had crunch, the flavors were insane and the fresh basil on top delish. This was a specialty pizza place exactly what I wanted. The sweet potato fries were stupid. Probably the best sweet potatoes fries I have ever had. I am so glad that random girl turned the corner with the pizza box when she did. And this place is OPEN TIL 2 AM. Quality quality place. I hope this guy kills it, everyone go here. read more

Antonio's Pizza is honestly one of the best and highest-quality places I've been to in a long time. I've been eating here regularly for about 5 months, and everything I've tried so far has been amazing. Their pizzas are incredible, and the pasta is just as delicious. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. The owner and staff are very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Every time I come here, the quality is always the same, which I really appreciate. The atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable, perfect for both friends and family. Came in on a quiet Monday, it looked clean but a lot of tables for the space so it felt a bit cluttered. We ordered the Antonia's special pizza, and waited about 10 minutes. Wow--just wow! To put this in perspective: it was 11 PM in Pismo Beach and everything was closed except fast-food spots. I decided to look a little farther and checked out San Luis Obispo, where I found this gem. First off, I really appreciate that they honor their operating hours, especially on a Wednesday night. Late-night pizza places are usually more about convenience than quality, but that was definitely not the case here. The quality of the flour and dough was excellent. I finished an entire personal pizza by myself and still felt great afterward. The sauce was well balanced and complemented the cheese and dough perfectly. The cannoli was just as impressive. The filling was sweet and delicious without being overpowering. I honestly didn't expect this level of quality from a late-night pizza spot. To top it all off, the owner was incredibly welcoming--even though I walked in at 11 PM, the service felt genuine and very hospitable. Food was great! Great service as well. It is small, only a few tables and a bar top style bench, but the weather is lovely, so sitting outside isn't a problem. My husband got the Mexican pizza and loved it, the fresh red onions gave it that little bit of extra yummyness! I got the Chicken Pesto Pizza and it did not disappoint! Maybe it was a new employee, but I wanted to share this as a training opportunity. We know eating out always carries some risk with celiac disease, but the gentleman who took our order seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel confident when we mentioned my son has celiac. Unfortunately, I then watched another employee take his gluten-free pizza from the separate area, place it on the same cutting board as the regular pizzas, and cut it with the same pizza cutter that had just been used on a regular pizza. I don't think she realized that cross-contact makes the pizza unsafe for someone with celiac disease. The rest of our family had regular pizzas, and they were delicious! I hope a little extra education on celiac disease and cross-contact can help make the gluten-free experience just as great. read more

I wanted to love this after reading the reviews. Presentation - pizza looked good. I liked the thickness of the crust, the ingredients seemed fresh! But man, it was bland . And with so many flavorful toppings I'm genuinely surprised. I got Alfredo, bacon, garlic, chicken, artichoke hearts and red onion. I'm also incredibly disappointed in the sparse toppings - especially when looking at other photos. I paid a lot to get all the toppings and it wasn't worth the price at all. Not the type to write reviews but I felt like my experience was definitely underwhelming. Got a pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely drenched! Not a single slice was able to be picked up without the sauce cheese and toppings coming right off and the undercarriage/dough was extremely soggy. I only added a star because the ingredients weren't bad after scraping them off the plate and definitely could make a good pizza if made correctly! EDIT- perfect example of how NOT to respond to customers does this guy have a huge ego OR WHAT? I tried to get a slice when it was steaming fell apart waited another 15 minutes till it was way cool and still fell right apart. People like this cannot take criticism and should not be in business. The undercarriage was floppier than a drenched napkin that told me everything I needed to know. Not once did I ask for anything free including that free ranch or that 1 packet of pepper and 1 packet of cheese you provided. My apologies for not being appreciative of the 2 dollar ranch so I could dip it in my pizza that had to be scraped off my plate with a fork. If paying for ranch means you will actually provide a good pizza charge me all you want! Next time learn how to cook a pizza properly. read more

They have a great calzone. Food came out quick they cut it in have to make it shareable. Service was good. They were nice and checked on us. The only gripe would be a homeless man that kept coming to the store. The good thing was they gave him free food and told him to that he'd have to leave. The day we walked in may have already had an unfair advantage, this business is in a shared development and maintenance was working in the area and shut off the water unbeknownst to the owners of Antonia's. I got a familiar feeling of being here.. after we sat a bit I remembered it used to be Solo's Pizza it has a lot of similarities. They offer a variety of crust styles for the pizzas (regular -thin, thick, sesame, gluten-free, cauliflower, stuffed). I found out the jalapeno poppers are cream cheese filled, I will always ask where ever I go when I see them on the menu. I'm not sure why it isn't always mentioned cream and cheddar don't hit the same! What we ordered was a side of potato wedges some might know as Mojos, a solo thick-crust gyro pizza, a small manakeesh pizza, and a gyro plate, all of this came to $60 and was too much food for the 3 of us we ended up with leftovers to feed another person. I was a bit bummed they don't have a salsa bar, which I've found to be typically offered at Mediterranean cafes in our area. I was hoping for a spicy Mediterranean salsa I tried Tapatio and that worked out fine but didn't taste how I thought it might. The owner made the pita bread and pizzas fresh to order from scratch and so everything tasted great. I also wished the meat wasn't a slab and was cut at the least in fourths, I wish it had more lettuce and was fuller, really. Overall I'd eat here again but probably not the gyro, stick to the pizzas. read more

So I went by Antonia's to preordered a pizza to take home. I live about a half hour from the restaurant and wanted my pizza for dinner later that day. I asked if they could "par bake" the pizza. They said they would and I called them when I finished my other shopping and 15 minutes later I picked it up....Later that night I put the pizza in my oven at 500 degrees for about 15 minutes and rotated it every 5 minutes...the pizza came out perfectly!
