This review is a few weeks late but I just got to share how Fred took care of my needs on my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. He referred me to the dealership as well for the deep level engine work that was required and only charged me the diagnostic fee which I think was fair in this case since he performed some deep level diagnostics. I've been there before and got the impression both times that I can trust him as he just recommends the work necessary to get my vehicle back in working order. I would also recommend these guys over any of those chain store mechanics like "Evan's Tire" (where I did NOT get a good vibe one time). My bf called to see if we could bring in two cars and if there was currently any wait. Was told to bring them right on in, that there was no wait and he'd take care of us. So we did. He asked for 20 minutes per car so we walked to eat lunch and came back 40 minutes later and they were all done and ready for us. I have only one coupon, but he honored it for both cars! The first time I stopped by this auto shop was because my "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Fred quickly diagnosed the problem FREE OF CHARGE. There was a problem with my air duct and he recommended I return to the dealership to have them fix it as there was a possibility the problem originated there. The dealership was going to charge me an incredibly unreasonable amount. I called Fred back and told him about my ordeal. He told me he would order the part and only charge me for labor. He showed me the damaged air duct and replaced it with a brand new part in only 10 minutes! Cleared my service code for FREE. He was very honest, kind and personable. There's even a sweet husky named Rocky who stays at the shop! I will be coming back here in the future and will be recommending this place to family and friends. I brought my car in a couple of months ago for new brake pads, and being a young female, I was worried I would unknowingly be charged too much and taken advantage of. However, that was certainly not the case here. Fred charged me a reasonable amount, and was very honest and trustworthy. In fact, I called Fred just today to make an appointment for a tire alignment and he remembered who I was, referred me to someone who could take care of my car (they don't do tire alignment services), and made sure I was taken care of. I didn't even have any work done on my car however, The integrity of the shop is beyond five stars. My car started to make this squealing and scraping noise that I had never heard before and my usual shop couldn't fit me in today so I found Antonios on yelp. He looked at my car for free and right away knew it was my rear brake pads, without even charging me he told me to go back to my original shop because they should be under a lifetime warranty and I should pay a minimal price to get them replaced. It was an extreme comfort to know that somebody was looking out for my car and me being a female rather than just trying to rip me off since I don't know that much about cars. Antonio offered to even replace the pads for a discounted price if I can get the new pads from the shop or by myself. read more

The guys who work here are super helpful and friendly - and most importantly, I know that they are not trying to rip me off. In addition to looking at my car free of charge (the car i was sold on Craigslist was having issues and I think they felt bad !), Fred advised me on an awesome body shop (El Dorado's, around the corner from Antonio's) and gave me tips as to where I can get some cheap parts (instead of paying the overcharged, standard dealer fee) and ALSO gave me honest, genuine feedback on my car. I came to get a car checked out that I was about to buy from a dealership (THANK GOD I DID even though according to them they've already done their own inspections). Drove over a road dip at Pomerado & Rios which broke the oil pan. Saturday morning I noticed a lot of oil in the carport. I had an 8:30am meeting in Poway but then chose to stop by an auto shop beforehand to get an opinion and a solution. I arrived at Antonio's Autocare at 7:55am at the same time as Matthew and Fred. No sooner had I parked and began relating the problem that Matthew was under the car saying what I suspected: the oil pan needed replacement. Matthew took a picture of the damaged pan with his cellphone to show me the white strips of concrete that had caused the damage. Fred said he had to order the pan for the Audi and that I'd have to return Monday morning. Meanwhile 3 quarts of oil were added. They even gave me a folded box to place under the hood to absorb the dripping oil. This morning Fred called bright and early to say that the part had arrived. I went there at 10:30 am. Originally Fred said that someone would drive me home but instead, today, he said it would only take a couple of hours so I explored the nearby area, had a nice lunch across the street at a Vietnamese restaurant. Fred called during lunch saying the car was ready! Talk about efficient service! Fred and Matthew made what I perceived as an ordeal a lot more easier to handle. Both men are very personable and kind. Pricewise, I can't compare with others. I was at the point that I just wanted it done asap. But speaking with people in the know (men, for example-hahaha!) it appears to be reasonable, perhaps even lower than other places. At the end, there was a lot of handshaking and hugs. Car is purring, and so am I!!! You will be well-served at Antonio's. Ask for Fred or Matthew. read more
