My husband and I found a car we really liked at this dealership. A used Mercedes-Benz CLS550 they listed for $12,900. The car was stunning. Almost too stunning. We decided to purchase it and offered Ricky the full asking price. We needed extra cash to pay for taxes etc., So we asked him to hold the car and we would get the rest of the money to complete the deal the next day. We were so excited about this car that we could not sleep. We got the cash, drove to Lone Star Auto. The attitude changed. It's as if they realized the underpriced the car. Ricky said in a non-caring way, we can't sell you the car because we have no title. This is a LIE, because we spoke to other car dealerships and told them what happened. Why didn't Ricky mention that to us the day before we offered to buy the car for FULL ASKING PRICE? Typical shady car dealership. We wasted our time and emotions on them. Do not trust these people. PS. We ended up at the great dealership Car Land in Garland. We bought another Mercedes Benz full asking price. However, their customer service, honesty, and professionalism are worth a five star!

A few days later, we discovered that the car needed a new battery - called them, and they replaced it. They have a good variety of vehicles under $8000, so he didn't have to settle for a loss-leader. Not sure about other people's "bad experiences" w/Drive Time, but I'd be willing to bet those came…read moredown to an inadequate inspection & or test drive, $DP, credit, and a lack thereof. But that's none of my business. What is MY business was my experience buying a car thru Drive Time in Lewisville. But prior to even heading down there, I did my homework online. Found three vehicles I was interested in. Talked to a gentleman at the Lewisville dealership about those vehicles, and he was able to give me some feed back on all 3 (slightly better pricing; the down payment I needed to put down in order to get the monthly payment where I wanted it to be; insurance costs; where the vehicles were located, etc), and invited me in to see him. A couple days later, I showed up, we talked some more numbers, and was able to come up with an agreement with my first choice, provided everything checked out with my veh inspection and test drive. I was allowed to inspect the vehicle, top to bottom, front to back, & inside and out. The vehicle was in very good, shape (some fair wear and tear for a used vehicle) but no obvious damage inside or out; had new tires; no uneven tire wear left or right that would indicate an alignment/camber problem; the engine bay was clean; all fluid levels were topped off; eng oil was a nice light brown; radiator fluid was a nice pretty green color (not dark with an oily residue); engine purred like it should with no shaking, missing, clicks, or any other noises that aren't supposed to be present); alternator was charging at 13.7V, battery held a charge of 12.9V with the engine off; no leaks under the chassis; no signs of brake fluid leaking on the inside of the wheels; the interior was clean; some minor stuff here and there (prev owner smoked but that's an easy fix; new cabin filter, some Febreeze, and some powdered charcoal... Like it never even happened); no cracks or excessive chipping in the windshield or door glass; brand new windshield wipers; all the windows worked smoothly and properly; doors did not rattle when slammed shut; interior lights worked; dash console worked; stereo sounded great (no blown speakers); all the seats and seatbelts worked properly; no stains on the seats, head curtain, or floors. The test drive further demonstrated the vehicle was "road ready". All exterior lights worked properly; start up was quick & smooth; acceleration was smooth & as it should be, there was no front end shake or steering wheel pull at highway speeds, or during hard breaking; no obvious cut-out, shaking or hesitation from the engine when stopped at a red light; went over rough patches of road construction well; road noise was acceptable/normal; brakes indicated no signs of excessive wear, and slowed/stopped the car smoothly and evenly. Came back to the dealership, told them I was impressed with the car, and would take it home today at the price and payment we discussed earlier. We completed the last bit of paperwork, they went over the warranty and extended benefits packages in detail with me (they were free by the way), and they handed me the keys and off I went. Granted, some people are going to be frustrated buying a car at ANY dealership. But you have to know some key things BEFORE you go in: Know your cedit score and your debt ratio so you can honestly know what you may or may not be approved for Know what you can legitimately put down as a down payment ($0 - $500 down is hardly ever an option, don't kid yourself. $2000 is a good number to START with) Know how much you can honestly afford ea month in a car payment & increased ins costs Have more than 1 vehicle you're interested in Know the average blue book price of the vehicles you like so you're not over paying. Be willing to "negotiate" & if necessary compromise on certain things (price, down payment, secondary/after market packages). If you're not willing to be somewhat flexible, the lenders are probably gonna tell you something you don't wanna hear. If somethings not right (i.e. tires are worn; window goes up/down too slowly; headlights are faded; missing headrest, vehicle vibrates or pulls to one side, etc...), speak up, let them know if they get the deficiencies fixed, you'll take the car. But DO NOT take any car home that has problems they say they will "fix later"... NOT SMART! FIX THEM NOW & WE GOT A DEAL Remember, the dealerships are usually the middle men when buying a vehicle. Unless you come in "pre-approved" through your own lender, then it's even easier. Just get the vehicle price point under your preapproved loan amount accounting for TTL, & the APR of your loan, put them in contact with your lender, and it's pretty much a done deal at that point. But the guys and gal at Drive Time in Lewisville took care of me, and 2 other customers while I was there. In the end, we all gave them a hearty handshake, had a smile on our faces, and walked out with keys in our hands and drove off happy customer.

Well that's where we found out that heater went out and the transmission had multiple codes! MULTIPLE CODES! They(Drive Time)had been swiped it clean in the past! Long story short, we took it back to Drive Time. I then went to a reputable dealership and bought different vehicle. While in the process I was alerted that Drive Time had blocked me from being able to use anyone else for financing a vehicle. Basically, I would only be able to use Bridgecrest to finance a vehicle. Well fortunately I received some help and also was able to bypass due to having a great credit score! Needless to say, I would never recommend dealing with Drive Time! The deception of swiping the codes clean is despicable! The worst thing is you sit there and visit with these salesmen and they lie to your face about the quality of vehicles they're selling!

**My Experience with AutoPark Dallas in Dallas, Texas**…read more Based on my experience, I believe AutoPark Dallas engaged in deceptive and misleading sales practices. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to be extremely careful. AutoPark Dallas makes the following statement on its website: "The team here at AutoPark Dallas is dedicated to offering a level of customer service not usually found in the automobile industry. Thanks to years of extensive car buying/selling experience, we pursue quality used and new vehicles that are hand-picked from factory sources. Our love for automobiles and dislike of 'traditional dealership tactics' is what motivates us to provide the service we do! The pride we take in continuing this service long after the vehicle has been delivered is what we strive for! Looking forward to making every effort to see that our customer is completely satisfied and a friend for life!" In my opinion, every part of that statement was proven untrue during my buying experience with Jay and AutoPark Dallas. I purchased a vehicle from AutoPark Dallas as an out-of-state customer. After the vehicle was delivered, I discovered that important safety-related equipment and other items were missing from the car. AutoPark Dallas sold me the vehicle without all of the lug studs installed on each wheel. Each wheel had only 5 of the 6 lug studs installed, and the center caps were installed and concealed the missing lug studs. The missing lug studs were the security/safety lug studs intended to help prevent theft of the wheels and tires. I found this out after one of the "B" center caps fell off the car while driving down the freeway at 75 mph on the 101. In addition, the emergency spare tire, emergency tools, car jack, the two holders for the emergency tools, and the center locking bolt used to secure the spare tire, tools, and jack were all missing from the vehicle. The manufacturer's safety instructions, owner's manuals/documents, the Bentley ashtray from the center console, the trickle charger, and the charger case were also missing. These items appear to have been present when the vehicle was listed by the previous dealership in Chicago, before AutoPark Dallas acquired it. Photos from the Chicago dealership's listing show the items in the vehicle: https://www.diamondmotorworks.com/2013-bentley-continental-gt-v8-c-3864/#details-89 It also took approximately two weeks for AutoPark Dallas to deliver the vehicle to my home. On top of that, I was ch AutoPark Dallas also failed to disclose multiple issues with the vehicle, including: - The passenger-side door window frame was bent or out of alignment. - The front grille surround was cracked in two places. - The driver's window was out of alignment and this scratched the driver-side glass through the interior tint. - The rear bumper sections were misaligned where they meet the rear wheel wells on both sides of the vehicle. The center console button used to raise and lower the rear deflector was broken and did not work. The dealership said the delay in shipping was due to not having staff to perform the promised detail of the car. The detail of the car was not performed. The car was delivered with an electronic key fob that did not work. The key fob had been disassembled then reassembled by an inexperienced technician without all of the original parts and did not function. In Texas, dealerships are generally required to disclose known defects that affect a vehicle's value or safety. Removing or failing to disclose missing safety-related equipment, emergency tools, lug studs, spare tire components, owner's manuals, or other critical parts may raise serious consumer protection concerns. Texas dealerships must comply with applicable state and federal laws when selling vehicles, including sales to out-of-state customers. These obligations may include proper disclosure of known defects, compliance with consumer protection laws, and ensuring that a vehicle is not sold in an unsafe or misleading condition. In my opinion, selling a vehicle without all required lug studs installed, while also concealing the missing studs with center caps, is extremely concerning. The same is true for selling a vehicle without the emergency spare tire, jack, tools, and other safety-related equipment, especially when those items appear to have been present before AutoPark Dallas acquired the vehicle. I believe this experience raises serious concerns under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other consumer protection laws. Texas dealerships that violate consumer protection laws may face civil penalties, fines, or other legal consequences depending on the circumstances. In conclusion, I would not recommend AutoPark Dallas. Based on my experience, the dealership failed to disclose important issues, sold the vehicle with missing safety-related equipment, added questionable charges. PhotNo spare jack tools or wheel studs
