Stopped here for a quick lunchtime bite with the family. The restaurant has a unique covered patio with heaters so we were pretty cozy despite being technically outside on a chilly day. The food was what you would expect, typical sandwiches, some pastas, ect but overall it was done well and came out quickly. Was very happy with the whole experience. We were seated quickly and service was good but afterwards a large line developed so it does seem to get rather busy at times.

We stopped at this restaurant after visiting the nearby Lehigh Gorge State Park. It was very busy but we were still seated right away and our food came out quickly. I really enjoyed my peel and eat shrimp which was perfectly seasoned with old bay. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure our water glasses were always full. The only downside was that we were seated in an enclosed patio and the plastic wall enclosure was flapping open in the wind and letting in cold air.

Came to MM's on a recommendation from my Cousin. Was a tad leery only because Yelp had them at 3 stars. My friend and I came in anyway, and had the best experience with our waitress, Katie. We ordered the pierogies appetizer which were smothered in butter and onions (spot on!), and we shared the shepherds pie, which came out piping hot and tasted amazing! Hope you enjoy!

We came in for dinner as other places were very busy. It was a great Saturday night experience. Prices were good. Food was fantastic. Great selection of adult beverages. Dominic was our server and he did a phenomenal job

Stopped by Molly's Maguire's while exploring Jim Thorpe. There's a meaningful plaque and statue right outside the entrance, adding to the charm. Molly's offers both indoor and outdoor seating, each with its own bar. A long line formed early, so plan ahead. We enjoyed our time inside, especially thanks to the bartender, who made a delicious cosmo with a vibrant fruity color. The waffle fries were a bit overcooked, but the atmosphere made up for it. With a TouchTunes jukebox available, we had fun picking our own tunes. Great spot to unwind in town!

Having just gone on the Leigh Gorge Scenic Railway across the street, it was time for lunch and we needed to find a place with outdoor seating as we had our dog with us. The place and nearby surrounding was extremely packed as it was Columbus Day weekend. Luckily we were able to secure a seat right outside quickly. My wife got the seared ahi tuna appetizer for $20 as many patrons reviewed and said how delish this appetizer was and they were right. Place like this is unassuming for putting out a delish dish such as this but it was to perfection. Perfectly seared and tasted very clean. My wife also got the butternut squash homemade soup and that too was amazing and just the right about of thickness. My son got the shepherd pie and the presentation was amazing and perfectly blend of meat, peas and potatoes. I got a classic hamburger with vegetable fixings and fries for $14. My only minor complaint is I asked for medium and it was around medium rare. I was able to tolerate it but do check the meat temperature. All in all, I would give this 4 stars and our waitress absolutely rocked!

While visiting the town we stopped in here for a quick lunch and drink. We had the hot roast beef and a burger and everything was really good. I also had a fancy drink! The place was nice and nice staff.

Fair food at best. Personally, the Shepherds Pie was disappointing. A few wraps (and 1/2 of those went uneaten). Liked the loaded tater tots. Eight of us; the service was ok, but what attitudes:( There was a steak eater next to me and I'm told it was tough. One GF restriction at the table but they had no GF options. A big bar with just ok bar food. About $300 for the 8 of us. One appy and a round of drinks.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

I ordered shrimp and scallop hibachi and it was incredibly oily and greasy, and the portion of shrimp and scallops was tiny. My friend also got hibachi and felt the same way. My salad was watery, and the clear mushroom soup tasted very strange. I couldn't take more than a bite of either the soup or the salad. For my entree, asked the server if I could please have extra vegetables instead of noodles, and she said that there was a "language barrier" in the kitchen, so she didn't want to ask that. I thought that was an odd comment for her to make. My daughter ordered some sushi rolls and liked them, and my husband and our friend also liked their sushi; so maybe sushi is a better choice here. The place is small and to echo other reviewers, tables are very crammed together and you will bump in to other people just by moving around. The place is cool looking on the inside and outside, definitely an interesting vibe, and they have a full bar. We did have to ask multiple times about the status of our beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). My drink was not good, it was a sake/lemon drop hybrid type of thing and it was insanely sweet - I couldn't finish it.

The restaurant is tucked into the hand-built stone rowhouses, surrounded by vibrant colors, artwork, and even a few birds outside the windows. It caught my eye right away, and I'm glad it did. Note for diners: Moya is closed Monday-Wednesday, and I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. I visited on a very busy weekend in Jim Thorpe and managed to get seated around 4:30pm on Saturday without one, but the restaurant filled quickly and I think I got lucky. Inside, the space is eclectic and beautiful--rich colors on the walls, abstract art throughout (which I later learned is by the chef's wife, who co-owns the restaurant and has her studio in the same building). The atmosphere felt upscale yet comfortable, and the quiet dining room was perfect for good conversation. Our total bill came to $95.90 before tip, and it was worth every penny. Moya's menu is designed for sharing, and that's exactly what we did. Drinks: Pineapple Cosmo ($13) - perfectly sweet without being over the top, even enjoyed by a bourbon drinker. Apple Brandy Sidecar ($14) - well-balanced and beautifully made. Plates we shared: Burrata ($18) - served warm on focaccia with an olive & herb tapenade. My first time trying burrata, and I loved it. The warmth was unexpected but wonderful, and the tapenade set it off perfectly. Fresh Gnocchi ($29) - with jumbo lump crab meat and fresh tomato cream sauce. The gnocchi were perfectly dense without being heavy, and the crab chunks were huge--bigger than the gnocchi themselves! So fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Prosciutto Salad ($18) - spinach, dried figs, gorgonzola, spiced candied nuts, balsamic glaze. Generous prosciutto on top, and the dried figs added such a clever texture and depth. A lighter dish that paired beautifully with the richness of the burrata and gnocchi. What stood out most about Moya's food was its simplicity. No over-complication, no excess of ingredients--just perfectly chosen flavors that worked in harmony and allowed each element to shine. Every dish felt thoughtful and intentional. Service was excellent--attentive without being intrusive. The bathrooms were clean, the vibe inside was intimate, and everything about the evening felt special. No on-site parking, but there's plenty of street and community parking nearby, and Jim Thorpe is a lovely walking town. My suggestion? Spend the afternoon strolling through town, enjoy dinner at Moya, then take a romantic walk down to the train tracks and water afterward. Moya isn't an everyday dinner spot for me, but it's absolutely on my list for celebrating something special--or just celebrating each other.

The first thing that we noticed that was interesting was the eerie music playing. At first I thought it wasn't bad, but the longer we stayed the creepier the restaurant became. More people left and the unlit street outside was pretty creepy as well. Drinks were decent but service was surprisingly slow and seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night which I thought was weird. Our appetizer was the melted mozzarella on focaccia with chimichurri and honey (too much of both). The bread was super soggy and cheese was half melted and wet as well. We decided to split the side of potatoes and the half chicken. Chicken was seasoned fine but the texture seemed almost raw. The potatoes presentation and taste were not great and there was not much flavor. Everything was wet in the worst way possible. We were in Jim Thorpe for the weekend and I booked this restaurant hoping for something special. It ended up being our least favorite meal unfortunately. But also our most expensive meal. We loved Notch Eight Craft and Marion Hose Bar.
