Waterfront dining with excellent food and friendly service. I actually think the pricing is quite fair, given the generous portions and quality fare

We were looking for a spot that we haven't tried yet so I was excited to find Apache. This place did it all right! We were a bit surprised when we got there. It had a very old school feel to it. The bar area is located at the front or the restaurant and had a ton of tvs. This reminded me of a sports bar so I was a little unsure about how the food would be. Now, if you go to the restaurant side, there are stunning lake views. I definitely need to come back in the summer time! We enjoyed our drinks as we perused the menu. I chose the Halibut. Let me tell you. They did NOT disappoint! This was creamy and delicious. Once you've had Halibut in New Orleans you are difficult to impress. But I was absolutely impressed. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Stopped in while driving along M22 near Traverse City and ended up staying longer than planned because of the view. You are right on the water and can see Grand Traverse Bay from almost every seat. They have a good mix of local beers and cocktails, including Bell's Two Hearted on tap. Quick service, great bartenders. It's an easy place to relax with a drink and take in the water.

The atmosphere was very nice and really enjoyed the vibe altogether. Ordered a prickly pear margarita which was very good, and the filet mignon for dinner. Steak was extremely tender and rich with flavor, the boursin cheese really made the flavors pop. The creamy along with the savory was incredible, baked potato was a nice addition as well.

This was a great spot. We sat in the bar area tables and had a great meal. We ordered a variety of items like delicious French onion soup and the bacon wrapped bbq shrimp. Everything was flavorful! We had great service and would totally visit again.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and it was quite delicious. While this restaurant is more on the pricy side, every dish we had was absolutely delicious with little to no complaints. I read the yelp reviews to stay away from the fried items so we did, but overall we had an amazing time and the outside lounge area was beautiful! The only downside was that I did find a hair in my risotto which killed my appetite unfortunately.

Great view overlooking the water. Restaurant wasn't crowded at all when I visited. Had the shrimp and scallop Alfredo. Good portion size and quite tasty. Very limited bourbon selection at the bar.

    "Lightly dusted perch???" Gross!!!

    Are service animals allowed?

Call Apache Trout Grill and asked. By law, they must accept service dogs. Not sure if they would accept an Emotional Support animal. You can find more info at https://www.michigan.gov/mdcr/divisions/ada-compliance/service-animals

Reservations needed for this restaurant for a Monday evening?

They do not take reservations. The wait can vary, I waited an 1, 45 minutes but they have a nice bar area looking out at the lake with tables, benches and even some couches.

Buffets kill me because if they're good I just wish I could bring a spare stomach. We started with a variety of fresh sushi, seconds from the other side, egg roll, shrimp in at least 5 or 6 treatments, green beans, chicken, pepper steak, etc. Finished off with various fresh and canned fruit slices including lychees, puddings, cakes. Just the thing to top off the main courses. I give it 4.5 stars due to the lackluster decor. But the wait staff is friendly and not pushy. No silly masks either. People are smiling again. Hooray!!! I forgot to take photos I was so hungry that all I could think about was biting in. Prices are reasonable because you can eat yourself to death here. Totally worth it compared to a lot of what's out there these days.

I always try to explain my review having more stars than perhaps it would in reality, if that makes…read moresense. This is a Chinese buffet. It is an all you can eat buffet. For people who have not had actual primo, well prepared Asian cuisine, I've never seen anyone not enjoy and tell me that they absolutely loved every single dish. This is what it is. It's only $14 for lunch, and if you went to one of the commercial burger places, you would expect that amount on just a regular basket with fries, drink and a burger. Here people get to eat as much as they want. Having explained this, I hope that you understand why I give the stars that I do for this place. It's because they were clean and there was nothing wrong with any of the dishes that I saw or tried . I particularly only like a few. I might like more if the food was hotter temperature wise. I have been to Asian buffets, particularly in Cheboygan and their food was a lot hotter, even though it's in the hot water baths or however, they're heating it. I prefer to have my food served hotter for many reasons. It is more tasty, it kills bacteria and any food problems like that. I'm sure that if they have these heated too high, it also breaks down the vegetables quickly. But I feel that this is a necessary requirement with the buffet food especially. I do love the hibachi style being available. You can add whatever you want, and the hibachi chef will fry it and add whatever sauces you'd like so that's my favorite. That's the main reason I go here, but the reason my sister always insist on returning Here is because "she likes to pig out". I see that many people do. That's what these buffets are. I think in the past like in the 70s they actually used to even put smorgasbord on the sign now everyone knew what that meant. I find that the servers are nice and it's always a very friendly ambience here so that along with the cleanliness and the fact that people look extremely happy that they "got to pig out" I give this place a four.. and really why would I come and eat again and again at a place that I didn't feel was a safe safe or sufficient lunch? I would not.

We were at the kitchen counter and the head chef/owner talked to us a lot while he was at the pass finishing dishes. He was not overbearing, where it was annoying. He was very friendly. He asked a lot of questions and we returned the favor. He went around talking to other tables too. Besides him, the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating, including the chefs doing the cooking! It was one of the best experiences I had in regard to the staff. I have included what I ate below. Everything was timed out well too. Our Bread ($8) - This was a cheddar bread with ranch butter. This was very good. It came out extremely warm. The ranch butter was light and paired perfectly with the soft inside and slight crisp on the outside of the bread. Cucumber ($16) - This came with salsa Macha, pickled jalapeno, and cilantro. This appeared extremely fresh. There was a slight kick from the jalapenos and/or salsa. It all went well together with one another. Ricotta Gnudi ($17) - This came with pea, basil, country ham, and Marcona almonds. The gnudi had an unreal texture. The almonds were a nice added touch for some crunch. I did not really think the ham was needed. Potato ($17) - This came in a brown-butter cheese sauce with shallots and pickled mushrooms. This was my favorite non dessert dish of the night. The cheese sauce was unreal with tons of flavors, while the pickled mushrooms combined with the crispy shallots made for a superb pairing. Fried Chicken ($16) - This came with two large chicken pieces with a white BBQ sauce. This was brined in Earl Grey tea. The skin was crispy as anything, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was moist with great color. The white BBQ sauce was one of the best sauces I had in a while. I do not have much experience with white BBQ sauces, but this was tremendous. The vinegar could really be tasted and paired well with the hot crispy skin of the chicken. Halibut ($47) - This came with white beans, chermoula, and black garlic. The halibut was cooked perfectly, and the chermoula was ideal with the slight crisp from the large beans. There was also a nice crunch from crispy brown rice it seemed like. Key Lime Pie ($16) - This was with a homemade graham crust, white chocolate, and a basil meringue. This was my favorite overall dish of the night. The crust was one of the best I ever had. It was so buttery and had a perfect thickness to the key lime filling. The little meringue pieces on top was an ideal topping. Will I go back? Obvious.
