    The atmosphere was very nice and really enjoyed the vibe altogether. Ordered a prickly pear margarita which was very good, and the filet mignon for dinner. Steak was extremely tender and rich with flavor, the boursin cheese really made the flavors pop. The creamy along with the savory was incredible, baked potato was a nice addition as well.

    Stopped in while driving along M22 near Traverse City and ended up staying longer than planned because of the view. You are right on the water and can see Grand Traverse Bay from almost every seat. They have a good mix of local beers and cocktails, including Bell's Two Hearted on tap. Quick service, great bartenders. It's an easy place to relax with a drink and take in the water.

    This was a great spot. We sat in the bar area tables and had a great meal. We ordered a variety of items like delicious French onion soup and the bacon wrapped bbq shrimp. Everything was flavorful! We had great service and would totally visit again.

    This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and it was quite delicious. While this restaurant is more on the pricy side, every dish we had was absolutely delicious with little to no complaints. I read the yelp reviews to stay away from the fried items so we did, but overall we had an amazing time and the outside lounge area was beautiful! The only downside was that I did find a hair in my risotto which killed my appetite unfortunately.

    Great view overlooking the water. Restaurant wasn't crowded at all when I visited. Had the shrimp and scallop Alfredo. Good portion size and quite tasty. Very limited bourbon selection at the bar.

    Order the "lightly dusted " perch for $40! Might as well ordered fish and chips. Disgusting. Received a cookie cutter response from restaurant. What a joke. Please go to any reputable restaurant that serves lake perch and look at what lightly dusted looks like. Do better!!!

    Do not order the pork tenderloin. I had my fill of seafood for the week and decided to give it a go. It was one of the worst non-fast food meals of my life. Overcooked, tough, and marinated in some kind of teriyaki sauce. The apples along with it weren't terrible but resembled apple pie filling. I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it so my family each shared a little of what they had ordered. The perch was outstanding as was the seafood roll. Also, the bar cheese appetizer was great. The interior of the restaurant was cool with a up north cabin vibe. I think our waitress was high on something other than marijuana but who am I to judge.

    One of the only places open on a Monday night! I wanted a steak so I decided to check it out. There was an hour or so wait when I arrived but a bar seat was available so I snagged that. I wanted the ribeye but sadly, prices were not posted online and the only option was a 24 oz tomahawk for $75 (MP). I settled for the 8oz filet ($47). It comes with mashed potatoes and a veggie (they seemed flexible about swapping any of the sides.) It was tender and well-seasoned. I do think it's a bit pricey but given the area and that it's a local business, I won't knock a star for it! There were options in the upper $20s range. They have a beautiful lawn by the lake with some seating - they only serve drinks out there. Apparently the owners are the same as a more casual spot up the road ...I believe it's called West End Tavern. (Free) Parking was full but I got a spot after waiting a minute or so.

    We are locals and have been here for 30 years. We were there this summer and all was good, but they just recently changed everything and it's horrible. I would not recommend going there unless you wanna have a couple of drinks at the bar and maybe an appetizer but don't bother ordering food. They're way overpriced in the food menu has changed tremendously. See what I wrote below that's why we will no longer go there since we've been going there since the early 90s. The new owners have cut cost and just horrible. We ended up leaving and sent our food back and we will never go there again after all these years, and we even live here.

    Great food every time! The view is incredible and the building is nice. Give them a visit as soon as possible

    Great food, especially the salmon! Service was good and they have a Tiki bar/ live music in the back while you wait for a table.

We were at the kitchen counter and the head chef/owner talked to us a lot while he was at the pass finishing dishes. He was not overbearing, where it was annoying. He was very friendly. He asked a lot of questions and we returned the favor. He went around talking to other tables too. Besides him, the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating, including the chefs doing the cooking! It was one of the best experiences I had in regard to the staff. I have included what I ate below. Everything was timed out well too. Our Bread ($8) - This was a cheddar bread with ranch butter. This was very good. It came out extremely warm. The ranch butter was light and paired perfectly with the soft inside and slight crisp on the outside of the bread. Cucumber ($16) - This came with salsa Macha, pickled jalapeno, and cilantro. This appeared extremely fresh. There was a slight kick from the jalapenos and/or salsa. It all went well together with one another. Ricotta Gnudi ($17) - This came with pea, basil, country ham, and Marcona almonds. The gnudi had an unreal texture. The almonds were a nice added touch for some crunch. I did not really think the ham was needed. Potato ($17) - This came in a brown-butter cheese sauce with shallots and pickled mushrooms. This was my favorite non dessert dish of the night. The cheese sauce was unreal with tons of flavors, while the pickled mushrooms combined with the crispy shallots made for a superb pairing. Fried Chicken ($16) - This came with two large chicken pieces with a white BBQ sauce. This was brined in Earl Grey tea. The skin was crispy as anything, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was moist with great color. The white BBQ sauce was one of the best sauces I had in a while. I do not have much experience with white BBQ sauces, but this was tremendous. The vinegar could really be tasted and paired well with the hot crispy skin of the chicken. Halibut ($47) - This came with white beans, chermoula, and black garlic. The halibut was cooked perfectly, and the chermoula was ideal with the slight crisp from the large beans. There was also a nice crunch from crispy brown rice it seemed like. Key Lime Pie ($16) - This was with a homemade graham crust, white chocolate, and a basil meringue. This was my favorite overall dish of the night. The crust was one of the best I ever had. It was so buttery and had a perfect thickness to the key lime filling. The little meringue pieces on top was an ideal topping. Will I go back? Obvious.

Phenomenal burgers, O-rings, tots, and sweet potato fries. The Northwood's DRAFT (not fountain) root beer is a perfect pairing with their burgers. Slabtown's menu of specialty burgers is enormous and the BYO options include different protein choices and excellent GF buns. I've tried many of their burgers, but have to say that the Slabby Patty on a pretzel bun and the Pungi's Pepper Patty really stood out as a couple of my favorites. For a really sinful (and unhealthy) treat, ask for the gravy tots. Oh brother...insanely good but definitely a guilty pleasure. We had a couple of glasses of wine. The server was helpful in suggesting a glass for each of us that matched our meals well. And speaking of the meals: We shared the cacio y pepe, which was a plentiful (almost too plentiful) serving of romaine lettuce, covered - a bit to excess --with a dressing. The dressing was tasty, but a bit less might have improved the dish. The co-diner got the seafood dumpling appetizer. The soup had a nice broth, and the dumpling was nicely flavored. Unfortunately, it also came with a chile, the heat of which tended to overwhelm the rest of the dish. For our mains, the co-diner got a salmon entree. He thought the salmon selected for the dish was quite a bit "fishier" in taste than the salmon we like to cook at home. The way the salmon was cooked was fine. It would have improved the dish if a better quality of salmon had been used. I ordered the rack of lamb, medium rare. It arrived, and was very rare - so much so that the inner pieces were borderline raw: not what I asked for. The lamb could also have been trimmed a bit, as the fat was clearly visible as a large part of the dish. It came with some nice mushrooms, and a green sauce made from pulverized veggies - very good. For dessert, we shared a piece of spice cake, with tart cherries and mascarpone. Our server also brought us a bonus dessert of a fluffy cheesecake with salted caramel topping, and ginger snaps on the side. Must say, the desserts were the highlight of the meal. All in all, while the front of the house reached a high level, the back of house fell a bit short of what one might expect from a restaurant of that quality.
