Came for lunch plenty of seats open, got the lunch special $24 for a pizza and salad Portions were generous I could imagine two people splitting one if they aren't too hungry Tried the vampire pie. Pizza was a 3.7/5. They say they are New Haven style but I didn't get enough char on my crust to call it that. Toppings were delicious and fresh. Service was friendly . Would come back. Truly is better incase you're choosing between the two.

If you get here and there's a line, it's worth the wait. The food is delicious with generous portions. Definitely try the humus, it's excellent. My Doho salad was so good & the pizzas were all amazing! The service is super friendly- Kendra makes the experience terrific.

Ordered ahead on my phone before they even opened, and the staff knew we were waiting in the car. They went out of their way to bring the order out to us, which was a very thoughtful touch. The food was fresh, tasty, and exactly what we were hoping for. Most importantly, both my kids and I really enjoy the flavors here, which isn't always easy to find. Great service, great food, and a genuinely welcoming experience. We'll definitely be back!

Yum! This is the first time that we actually ate our pizza in the restaurant. It's cute. It's also extremely busy and popular. We suggest going on off hours or just waiting. We got lucky we came at a non-popular time. However, as we are enjoying our pizza and our wine, it became very clear at the dinner hour there are people lined up outside. I must say the waitress was very kind. She never rushed us out. She was very patient with us as we enjoyed our last slice and last drop of wine. This is a good addition for Dana Point. You can customize your pizza. We love to do that.

Such a positive experience at aPizza Doho. We were sat immediately on a Saturday Afternoon, our server was so friendly and conversational, the outdoor seating is comfortable and you get some ocean breeze. The pizza though wow, we were able to do half and half of 2 kinds (as long as they have the same sauce!) which is amazing since every option of flavor combinations is mouthwatering. The crust was perfect, the structure, the sauce and ingredients were all top tier. I've been thinking about it ever since!! We can't wait to return. As a south county pizza snob, take it from me, it doesn't get better-- we found a new spot for sure

I've lived in Dana Point for years and was only recently introduced to aPizza Doho. All the buzz about a new pizza shop in town being one of the best in the nation and I think this place has that one beat hands down! The shop is a relaxed family vibe with cooks throwing dough and making the pizzas right in site. The dough is perfect and the toppings are fresh and delish! We had the Philly, the Bees' knees, and the Garden Party and we loved all of them. Shared with a couple of pitchers of beer and zucchini chips to start - perfect evening. Staff were so friendly and the food came out so quickly. I loved the local vibe where everyone felt like family!

Pizzas were amazing. Definitely reminded me of my trips to the East Coast. My vampire pizza was a white pizza with some Calabrese added on. Loved it. My wife got the Bee Sting she loved hers as well. Calamari was also very good, loved the added veggies. Our Waitress was named Tera, and she provided excellent service. I will definitely be back here for sure! Best pizza i have had in California

Mmmm, pizza! For starters, we ordered the zucchini chips- they're so light and crisp, melting in our mouth- 10/10. Then we tried the Bee Sting (burrata & hot honey) which was literally dripping and hits immediately as one of the BEST PIZZAS I've ever tried! Then we tried the Garden Party and dare we say it might've even been better! Paired with an IPA and great service, this was a WIN! We had a pizza aficionado in our group that typically doesn't prefer a thin crust but it was so perfectly crisp and flavored even they were really impressed!

Caesar salad was outstanding - fresh greens, perfectly dressed! Fritto misto was excellent - crispy batter! We got a half Philly and half vampire - crust was excellent - thin and crispy.

We ordered the Philly's pizza and it took about 25 minutes to get to the table which was not too much of a surprise considering how busy the place was. Susie was our server and was very lovely throughout the evening! However, the quality overall of the pizza tasted okay at best. The slices were burned, so at most I can give a 3/5...Susie was very kind and offered to make us another pizza to-go, so that is definitely to note! But we were so hungry that we ate it anyway lol and we did not want to wait any longer. The presentation was also a 2/5 at most. Unfortunately, I would not stop by again.

Tonight we ordered from our favorite pizza place, and the wait time was 1 hour and 10 minutes--wow! You can't rush greatness. The place was absolutely packed, with tons of people waiting for tables, which says a lot about how good their pizza is. Despite how busy they were, the team kept things moving and took great care of everyone. I even joked with the owner, who was hustling nonstop taking care of customers, "Wow, my Yelp review must have brought in all these customers!" (Just kidding, of course!) Hats off to this incredible pizza place. The pizza was as delicious as ever, and it's great to see a local favorite getting the love it deserves. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for dinner, we ordered a small vampire pizza and it was delicious! With big dollops of cheese on every slice. We opted for the small which was still very filling for two people! The crust, cheese and sauce were all fantastic and I would highly recommend this place! Good service too!

I wanted to order a pizza in Dana Point to watch the sunset nearby and found APizza Doho when I was searching on Yelp and so glad I did! We ordered The Bee Sting pizza and we loved it! I loved how they packed the Burrata separately for to-go orders. The flavor was amazing and we really enjoyed it and would get it again, although we want to try other pizzas. We also got the Zucchini Chips - such incredible flavors but the only bad thing is that when you get it in to to-go boxes, they become soft and not crunchy. I will say that I ordered around 4:30-5pm online and my order was not ready to pick up till 6:45 on a Friday! So just be aware! Overall, great flavor and would come back!

What are the gluten free options? Do they now carry gf crust?

I think they do but best to call and confirm

    Do they take reservations?

They do, but only with parties of 8 or more.

Do you offer gluten-free dough plus non-cross, contamination cooking?

I'd like to know the same thing. However I doubt it. Let's hope I am wrong.

    Is your restaurant dog-friendly?

Outside on our patio dogs are welcome always!

What style is the pizza? Thin? Thanks!

Gino, thank you for inquiring. Yes, I would say it is definitely on the thin side, with purposeful charring around the crust. New Haven style is our "North Star" which is their version of Neapolitan in Connecticut.

Is this New Haven style pizza?

Yes, it is in the style of New Haven, in that, it is thin and does have purposeful charring around crust.

Will you ever sell white clam pizza or a variation of?

We do have a white clam pie on the menu, its called "Littleneck".

Do you sell slices anytime?? I want to try so many!!

Hi Rich, unfortunately we do not sell slices, but at lunch we do an 11'' inch pie ( equivalent to two good size slices ) paired with a Caesar or Simple Salad, as our "Lunch Box" special.

Do they serve gluten-free pizza? Or gluten-free pasta?

No, currently we do not serve either.

How big are the pizzas? Individual size or 12" or ? Thanks.

Hi Travis, thank you for the inquiry. Our pizzas are 15 inches, eight slices.

What times and days are least busy? If I bring my family of 5 to eat in?

I would say lunch time or until 5. they usually get a big dinner crowd :)

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the patio

    Do they sell dough?

    Yes we do!

    Is there a happy hour?

Currently, Apizza Doho does not have a Happy Hour.

Today, on a Saturday at 12-ish, as a family of 4 we were able to get seated right away. Our server was attentive and offered/brought waters right away. We were seated inside which was open and spacious but loud enough to make it family friendly. The tables were far enough a part that you did not feel like you were on top of each other. Next time, we might ask to sit outside so our young boys can watch the cars drive by. We learned that the kitchen is nut free (always double check as this could change), which was amazing since our son has a severe nut allergy. He was so excited to learn this as he can be limited at other places due to cross contamination or the wrong oils. Then when the food came out and it was delicious - it sealed the deal. It is now in the top of our list of places to go. The kids cheeseburger is good size and not a smaller version as some places do. The chicken tenders were panko crusted which was so crunchy. My husband and I shared the smoked carrot and chicken tacos and we enjoyed them both. The beer was also very good with my husband and I each trying a different kind - an IPA and a Pale Ale. We are so glad we finally stopped in and so should you!

My server was super sweet, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was very chill. I got the smoked wings and a side caesar salad for balance. The wings were pretty good. I'm more of a dry rub person, so I enjoyed the wings especially dipped in blue cheese! The caesar was ok. The croutons were good, but it was too much cheese for me. I'd come back again to try their other food.

The parking is definitely limited, as I saw from other reviews on Yelp. On a Sunday evening it was very easy, however. The menu is fairly limited, and I wish they had a few more fish options, though the salmon I saw looked absolutely incredible. I had the chicken caesar salad. The chicken was a large portion, and so tasty. The dressing was SO good. They did forget dressing on both of our salads which was kind of annoying for a simple caesar (so we had to get a side of it). That being said, once we did get dressing, I seriously could've drank the stuff it was so yummy. They also scorch their tomatoes in the salad to perfection. I also tried the crispy tuna appetizer, which was surprisingly different from similar versions I have had at sushi restaurants (not in a bad way). The fish was very fresh and I would order this appetizer again. I think it came with five fairly small pieces (just so you know how many to order for a crowd). If you are feeling dessert, they have an incredible (and massive) butter cake!

One of the things I appreciate most is that the happy hour actually feels like a good deal. Happy hour runs all day on Mondays and Tuesday through Friday from 2pm-6pm, with $10 cocktails, $6 beer and wine, and a few food specials that are worth ordering. We went with the chicken nachos ($10) and the taco special ($10 for two tacos, with mix-and-match options like birria, carnitas, chicken, and sweet potato). Both were surprisingly generous portions for happy hour items. The nachos came loaded with toppings and could easily be shared, while the tacos felt substantial rather than the smaller portions some places serve on their happy hour menu. The space itself fits right in with the River Street vibe. It's casual, lively, and makes for an easy place to hang out with friends after work or spend a relaxed afternoon grabbing a few bites and drinks. The entire marketplace has become a fun destination, and Capo Leisure House is one of the spots helping make it worth the visit. If you're exploring River Street Marketplace for the first time, I'd definitely recommend stopping by during happy hour. Can't wait to come back during regular hours to see what else they have to offer!
