Very unhelpful, discouraged me from even purchasing anything. Asked about pricing on an iPad Air vs mini with a college discount, I've seen reviews saying they don't know about their product, but it seems some of them can't even do basic math. Dude talking to me me kept insisting that 449 after tax is 599??? Worst part is he seemed to get frustrated when I expressed my confusion and pointed out his error. What a bunch of absolute morons. My experience here today was pretty horrible. I was treated so poorly by the Apple representative that I received and further more they seemed to care less about the level of CUSTOMER SERVICE that was offered. I think that I am more hurt than mad just because I expect so so so much more from APPLE in general. I am a business leader in the area and previously lived at the Bravern Residences in the community for many years before relocating to Los Angeles and the service several years ago does not reflect the APPLE that I received today. I ended up requesting the store manager/leader and was deceived in this regard as well. I ended up speaking with a "shift manager" (SHELBY) and felt even more TERRIBLE after her attempt to "address" the previous service I received by Matthew (Tech). In my opinion having worked and supported APPLE over the past 10 years, they make a good product.....but I'm beginning to feel that the customer service (especially at the Bellevue Location) has drastically diminished! Worst experience I have ever had with Apple. I went into the store to pick up my phone that they promised to "fix" I had signed all the papers and even called to confirm my phone was ready for pick up and they said "yes!" So I went to pick it up and come to find out they couldn't fix my phone! Wasted 3 hours of my time and didn't even call me back to tell me they couldn't fix it. Meanwhile I waited 1 hour, for them to even get to me when I arrived at my scheduled appointment date! Ridiculous. While I was in there, there was a poor woman crying to one of the techs for some reason.... very reassuring.. not. My one star review has nothing to do with the staff and employees at the store. I assume they are doing the best that they can under A$$le's new dollars before service business model. My 2 year old MacBook died and with only a cursory overview we were told that it would cost $400-$600 to fix and that was payable up front. My daughter's month old iPhone with screen protector cracked and she was told it would be $150 to fix. Not only have A$$le products gotten more flimsy since the death of Steve Jobs, they have completely alleviated all customer service and responsibility for when their products break shortly after purchase. I love A$$le efficiency, but I will no longer ever go to them again for repairs. I will also not be buying any new products directly for. A$$le. Hey Apple Store..... I know you have 400 people that work here at any given time, but it's the most frustrating, confusing and infuriating thing when I come in for a cracked screen, I have to wait 30min just to be seen, then another 15mins sitting at your tiny little table off in the corner sitting on this incredibly uncomfortable chair while 380 of your 400 working employees are just chatting in little groups on the side of the store. Why hire so many people if you only have ONE person capable of helping me fix my screen?!?! Literally sitting here at 10:17am (only been open for 47min now) and I see 4 people helping at the help desk, 3 helping customers in sales and (I shit you not) 12 employees just standing with other employees chatting away. I had an amazing experience with Oksana and Justis! They were so helpful and went above and beyond helping me and answering all my questions in full detail. However, Keenan on the other hand completely ignored me and the elderly couple in front of me. The elderly couple just asked him simple questions and he just said "yes" or "no" and mostly completely ignored them. He also did not answer all of my questions either. He just stood there trying to "look busy." However, he did not help us but completely ignored us. I never had this kind of a negative experience at an Apple store before, therefore I felt compelled to write a review. I usually don't write reviews, however, I just had to this time because my experience with Keenan was very terrible and disappointing. The elderly couple were very disappointed as well. The elderly couple and I were completely shocked that we were receiving this kind of a NEGATIVE experience. Very disappointing! It s probably the first time I am writing a bad review for someone. Today We went to This store to have my phone fixed when I had my worst shopping experience. Josh, the technician came and As I was telling him the issue he started acting aggressive and rude, when I asked him why he is so rude, he said If you don't feel comfortable with me I can get you someone else to help in a very hostile way. It was clear he has some issue with my race the way he treated us. It was in a way that my friend also felt super uncomfortable and we talked to their manager. It is so disappointing that apple have such a bad service in their Bellevue location and that s why they have all the bad reviews. Worst customer service EVER that would make Steve Jobs pee in his pants! How many Apple employees does it take to buy an iPod Nano and accessories? The anwser is 5. If it was light bulbs...it would be more! Once I walk in, no one greeted us but I saw bunch of the employees chatting among themselves. It must be a good conversation because they didn't even look at us when we walk pass by them. I already knew what I wanted to buy but didn't know which color iPod Nano would fit me the best. It was between the silver or gun metal color. I also found the demos on the floor so I can test it out. Employee #1 was helping another person but compliments how cute my daughter is and ask how old...but didn't ask if I needed help? I ask if she can help us. She was going to get another salesperson to help me....one of the guy who was chatting with the others. Employee #2 look disinterested in helping us but once he knew I wanted to purchase became more helpful. I ask to see the silver iPod Nano and two different color Tik Tok watch bands out. So he left but I FOUND OUT he ask Employee #3 to get the items from the inventory room. Employee #3 hands the iPod to Employee #2 so he hands it to me but pass me off to Employee #4 to finish the sale. The sh!tty part, they brought back the wrong iPod...it was a SHUFFLE not the NANO and forgot the Tik Tok watch bands. I still see Employee #2 talking with the other co-workers...Facking idiots! Employee #4 apologize to me but went to Employee #2 & #3 to sort it out? Employee #2 blame #3...bad to watch this soap opera in front of my 2yr daughter. I finally requested the right product because this was suppose to be a fast purchase since I knew and told them exactly what I wanted to purchase. Manager - Employee #5 - finally got the Silver iPod & only the black Tik Tok watch band but hands it off to Employee #4 to finish the sale. The whole time she kept apologizing to me but had a mobile swiper to speed the transaction up where we were standing. Spent over $200 for a 45min transaction + terrible customer service. The employees are dead weight....This Apple store needs to clean house and hire hard-working people who wants to be there who are knowledgeable! This Apple Store is a joke! Me, I ask the old man at the end of the line what it's for. "The new iPhone." "Moving along pretty well?" "Slow as Christmas." I walk into the store. The greeter, a well-intentioned but cheerless young man says hi and asks me if I have an appointment. Since this is not a colo-rectal exam, but an innocent attempt to give a business thousands of dollars, I tell him I do not. He seems pained. "There's going to be a wait," he says. "I'll add you to the queue." "Even if all I want is to give you my money?" "Yes." "Can you add me to the stack instead?" Because, at this point, I'm not yet so irritated that I can't make lame-assed geeky jokes. I take up a position against the iPad display counter and observe. A half hour plods past. Turns out the old duffer in the iPhone line was right. Taking into consideration the money value of time, a hasty, back-of-the-envelope calculation indicates that the unlucky customer at the end of that line will end up spending roughly a million dollars for that fucking cell phone. Enter Cleopatra. The cheerless greeter tells her she must wait, and almost instantly, she lights into him with the hard questions. "What's that guy doing? He's just standing there with his arms folded. I just want to give someone my money. Where am I in this queue? Why isn't the queue more transparent? How many people are ahead of me?" She is a human Gatling gun. On receiving unsatisfactory answers to all her questions, she proceeds to accost every single unoccupied employee. "What are you doing?" she asks them. "Why can't you help me?" This is getting fun. Having made a single round, she simply starts over. She is fucking relentless. Finally, she's following one of them, a chubby woman with a panicked look, and just before she catches up with her, the woman turns to me: "Sir, can I help you?" Urgency. "Yes," I said. "Thank you." And thank you, Cleopatra. In the sense that Joe Girardi is a "ballplayer's ballplayer", you are a hectoring bitch's hectoring bitch. I like you. I wouldn't fuck you with someone else's dick, and I shudder to think what it takes to keep you in fake lashes, finery, and microderm abrasion. But you've made me a benign and welcome presence to people who were treating me like a leper -- a good day's work. I love the MacBook Pro, by the way. I'd recommend it to anyone. It is blazing fast, and so stable that the only thing that can crash it is Safari. I'm thinking about getting a Mac Mini next, so obviously, my experience with the Apple Store hasn't soured me at all on Apple's excellent, beautifully designed products. I also realize that the iPhone release date was a particularly hectic one for the store, so service was bound to be a little off. I went there to buy an iPhone for my friend and I was waiting for like 30 minutes next to the iPhone table but still, no one tried to help or even gave me a pity glance even though I saw a bunch of employees farting around and joking with each other. Finally, I had to walk up to the very rude girl who I believed was the cashier and asked for what I wanted. Still, she tried to joke around with other employees while I was pleasantly complaining that no one helped me. She rudely replied that because their store was too busy. Seriously? This store has a terrible customer service for such a reputable company. My Macbook had sticky keyboard issue after my kids spilled a little bit of juice by accident. But everything was still function-able for 3 months since accident. Just wanted to get it cleaned up. I went to Bellevue Square to get it cleaned up since I had full warranty service and product was less than 1 year old. I spoke to technician about juice spill accident to be frank. Right away he started to claim that it will cost $700 to ship out and get parts replaced within 30 sec. How can this be? He did not even bother to take a look or willing to see what can be done. He claimed that it is hazardous to open up the computer at this store and take a look at the issue to see if it can be repaired. I said to him that nothing is broken. I just need it to be cleaned up. He kept insisting that this "REPAIR" will cost $700. It is 30% of product cost to get cleaned. Such a policy is just ripping the customer off!! He claim that apple product has keyboard as one piece and it is not possible to get it cleaned. I told him that it must have a terrible non-customer focused and un-serviceable design if apple store can not even clean up the own product or charge customer 30% of cost for an accident that occurs and fully functionable product that I do not need "REPAIR". After very frustrating discussion, I asked for his manager. As he is talking, the store manager is making faces unprofessionally with this employee and send back the employee to tell me the same crap that apple warranty coverage will not cover liquid damage. He did not even bother to come talk to me. So I went to talk to the manage face to face and he act as if he wanted nothing to do with me and offered nothing for possible solution to help me out. He appeared to me as a cold, arrogant, un-customer focused manager. I left very furious and angrily with the disbelief that Apple store can not provide any cleaning or maintenance service. I told myself that it will be my last Apple product if the serviceable design and service policy is out of whack from customer needs. I went to another store to give another shot to validate this bad experience. This service person agree to take a look to see what is needed after 15 sec of my brief problem statement. He opened up my computer on the spot and replaced a few keys to solve the problem within 15 min with no charge!! What a difference of customer service commitment. It was such a pleasure experience opposed to Bellevue arrogant crews starting from the store manager. I will not disclose which store help me because they may have help me out of policy for a great customer service and engagement. Hats of to them if it was the case. To me they did what is right for customer by trying to find the solution, and show that they care, try their best, and actually fix the issue for free of charge!! Bellevue SQ store crews did not want to even try and refused my request in the first 30 seconds and decide to charge me $700 for service that can actually be done in 15 min with little cost. Apple store in Bellevue needs customer engagement retraining and be more humble to provide nice experience to customer. Such a turn off to show such an arrogance as if they are the king of product. The truth is that they can not even clean the product for customer.... By offering 15 min labor and $5 material replacement cost or at least trying to show that you care about customer, Apple can keep customer for more life time revenue from me. One more system I purchase in future, I am sure they can get $1K plus profit. Considering family members life time revenue, they may get up to $10K~25K. By pissing off customer for showing such arrogance. Apple lost me as life time customer and will loose revenue from my family. Which is is of $10K to $25K. Now I know why this place got such a poor rating. For such a big open layout with many employees, I was amazed with how poor the staff and queue was managed. Many of the employees stood there idle and also talking with each other more than they spent time with clients. I stood there often looking to talk to someone and even approached several of them just to get a cold shoulder or look inconvenienced that I was standing there next to them. There were only a handful of people that were running around working and had to assist several client at the same time. it didn't make much sense. No proper queue management at all. One person would come out with 5 phones to finish the transaction, leave it on a table and help clients one at a time while other staff stood idle, not wanting to help anyone. Once a tech person was available, they were about to grab that stack of phones and return to the back without assisting until a lady interrupted him. Then he checked the tablet and said that her phone was completed and he would need to check the back. She then pointed out that he had phones in his hand and viola! It was at the bottom of the stack. I saw my name on the very top phone and I was there sitting, staring at that phone waiting patiently. Was this a test? I felt worse than cattle in this store. It was my first time to a Genius bar so I am unsure if this is how the store does it or if Apple in general are a bunch of morons. I never want to go back for a "genius" visit. Why 2 stars then? Well in the end, I did get my new battery and it's working. That does deserve a star. read more

It's a review of the two-star Apple store in Bellevue (and they only get two stars because of their merchandise). One ordinary Wednesday afternoon about a month ago, I trotted into the store and patiently waited for one of the 5 bajillion employees to ask me if I needed any help. When that didn't happen, I set my sights on a friendly looking dude and started following him around the store. He steadfastly ignored me and started chatting with a coworker about his adventures from the previous evening. I kept a benign, disaffected smile on my face and waited patiently for an opening. When I didn't get one, I went to the cash register and requested help. Without looking up from the computer, the girl manning the cash register whistled some dude over. This much older dude shuffled over to me, looking out of place and disenchanted in his hot-pink Apple tee. He was clearly very agitated at being summoned, and I felt a pang of sympathy for him: surely, I wouldn't be too thrilled to be working retail at Bellevue Square, either. He looked tired and down in the dumps. Still, since I was about to drop a few Benjamins on this gadget, I would have really appreciated a helpful attitude. He responded curtly to every question I asked and acted like I was imposing on his time. He clearly couldn't wait to get me the hell out of the store. Major buzzkill. As you know, Apple products are all overpriced anyway. The only product I ever appreciate from Apple's is iPad. But this review is for this Apple Store alone, so I will ignore all their Apple's products. I went in to ask for assistance to help fix one of the chargers. They told me to wait in line, in which I can't make reservation like the Microsoft store. So, basically, you just have to sit around and waste your time for you don't know how long, until someone is free to help you out. Comparing to Microsoft Store, they schedule time with you so that you can go to do whatever inside the mall and come back for it. After waiting for the call for my name, they took me to sit at the waiting area to wait for another 10 minutes for someone to come help me. I don't know what the guy name was but he was unfriendly and just rushed his work. He definitely figured out what was wrong with my iPad, but I was very unhappy with the service and the system here. If I don't have to, I don't wanna go back there. The store was big and has tons of products you can try. Though, all Mac Products are the same anyway and going to the same direction (downhill and more overpriced). read more

Really poor customer service, the Genius Bar employees are almost defensive when it comes to fixing any sort of issue, I was told my "type" of bend was not covered under warranty despite the phone being 15 days old ( I had just spent 6 hours in the store replacing my 1 year old iPhone two weeks ago ). Only later to then be told they can make me an offer and then take it off the table and have a manager walk away from me... Talk about a changed Apple. Where has the customer service gone? Extremely disappointing considering I've been an apple customer for years, since the very first iPhone. We just bought a Mac book pro AND an iMac 5K Retina display only to be treated like a criminal for finding fault in one of their products. The experience with this store alone and its "management" makes having an Apple product not worth it to me. I love Apple products...maybe a little too much. I do not love Apple stores lately. I remember when the first concept stores came online. They were great. I could go there to pick up a computer and sit in on a free seminar or webcast and have someone help me with a computer issue. The current form that the Apple Store has taken has bastardized the greatness that the original concept once was. First, the genius bar. I'll give it to Apple - it was a good concept, but with their new found popularity - it's broken. If i need someones help that I know will take them no more than 5 minutes to figure out, I hate that I have to make an appointment in advance and even if there is NOONE at the bar in the morning, they still won't help because I don't have an appointment. Second - registers. Where did they go? I get that Apple is trying to make it "easier" arming everyone with those handheld registers. But what if I only want a case and every employee is busy, which is usually the case these days. Where do I go if I just want to BUY something? I hate. HATE upselling. I have bought a few macs in the past few years for myself and my family and I actually went out of my way NOT to buy it at the Apple Store. Why? Because I just want to buy the computer and don't want to be talked at for 30 minutes about buying classes (that used to be free), warranties, and more classes. Last - what is with the hierarchy there? Different employees wear different colored shits but it isn't clear what they're job is - they all just stand there and lean against things and hand me off to someone else. I just want a case!! Genius Bar? More like Meaningless Bar! The service was awful. They put me in the "Will text" list and said it would be maybe an hour and a half, but probably not that long. I came back about an hour and 15 minutes later and was told there was 3 people ahead of me and it should be anytime me now and that they would text me. So I waited, and waited and waited. Came back an hour later and still did not receive a text only to find out they cancelled my appointment for no reason. By the time I finally saw a "genius" it had been nearly 3 hours. Yikes!!! And this is on a weekday! I just got this new iPhone 6 plus and was already having problems. For some reason the storage would fill up overnight in the "other" category. At home I had already factory reset my phone 5 times only to wake up the next day with the same weird full storage problem; so I was already frustrated. You can imagine how frustrated I was when the "genius" solution didn't work at all. Long story short I was told by the "genius" that all I needed to do was delete the photos and videos from my shared folder and that would solve the problem. I even asked her how confident she was with that suggestion. 100% she said. In the end, I figured out the problem on my own, 'cause let's face it, I'm the real "Genius" here! It ended up being a problem of previous backups I had to delete from my iCloud account, but this was no simple fix. Researched for hours to figure this out--so thanks for nothing Apple! In the end, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and the level of customer care! I shan't be going back there again. read more

Pretty much the worst customer service experience EVER!!! I made an appointment to get my iPhone 4 looked at because the home button kept sticking, which I found out is a common problem with iPhone 4s. I should've realized that when we walked into the store and no one greeted us that it was only the beginning. Seemed like there were about 2 employees per every 1 customer in the store, but they were so busy talking to each other that they weren't even interested in helping customers! I waited for 20 minutes with one employee asking if I had been helped. I said "no, I had an appointment about 20 minutes ago but they haven't called my name yet," and the employees just said "oh, sorry," and walked away. WOW, REALLY?!?!? You don't have time to check and see how much longer it would take because you're so busy talking to your coworker?!? Finally my name was called after about half an hour. I explained the defect with my phone and he said "oh, we'll replace your phone" then he made me reset the phone to delete all my info. After I had wiped my phone, he then said "it will be $149." Every time I have attempted to do something at this store I have left frustrated and/or empty handed. Truly horrible customer service. Waited 2 months for an ordered 6sPlus battery replacement. Waited 3 hours at Bellevue Square without a phone only to be informed by "the geniuses" that my phone had water damage and they couldn't go ahead with the battery replacement. Water damage? Really? I guess if you count rain as being potential water damage than yeah. Went to a local repair shop in Issaquah the next day and they replaced my battery in 5 minutes flat. I went in the other day to fix my screen protector and ask how much their air buds were... the girl who help was so rude! Incredibly snotty.. as someone was 5+ plus years of customer service and works in the industry, this girl should not be in retail just saying. Plus no one besides her helped me. I hate that they have such terrible service! I was there to get a simple thing figured out with my laptop and the guy said 15 minutes. When I came back in 15 minutes he had gone for lunch and my laptop was just hanging out there for a long time before 8 different people figured out that I was ready to go a long time ago and the dude forgot to help me before he left for lunch. Friday Phone Rant: The Apple Store sucks! I need a new phone and wanted to test an iPhone 5S for audio quality by placing an actual call to my voice mail. Turns out there wasn't a single phone in the entire store capable of doing that. I even double-checked with their top phone "genius". Apple Store People, it's called a phone because it transmits your voice using a microPHONE and it receives a voice through an earPHONE (or speakerPHONE). If you think that's not important, that people buy these things only to fart around with pictures, text, and apps, then stop calling it a PHONE. It's certainly not smart, either. I'm an Apple person and this is my favorite local location! I go here for all my needs, whether it's a purchase, a Genius Bar appointment, a question, etc. Recently I was actually in because my 9-month-old niece snapped off the X key on my MacBook Pro and I immediately made a Genius Bar appointment from my iPhone and 20 minutes later I was already at the Apple store and on my way! I do live nearby but less than half hour after the incident, already having it fixed? Yeah, it's pretty awesome! Love Apple! read more

The new store is great and huge! It's easy to get lost in here or I should say lose someone in this store. They somehow manage to find you a sales person or a "specialist" depending on what product your looking at. All of the staff seem like nice people and they're willing to spend an ungodly amount of time talking with you. I do find it sometimes hard if they're busy and I just need to buy something simple like a pair of headphones, you almost get dizzy spinning in circles trying to figure out where to go to pay for your goods. I think this something Apple overlooked, I understand the whole Stevie J minimalist thing, but sometimes being too simple is bad. Another thing that bugs me is they don't have a lineup of their laptops, it's a little overwhelming that they have 11" paper thin laptops to 15" brick sized devices. I would be nice if they had a section where all of them where lined up to make a better comparison. I did learn that they have done away with their restocking fees which is a sweet deal. read more

I was on vacation In Seattle and had an issue with my phone, so I made a Genius bar appointment the night before for early Monday morning. I had a flight back home in the afternoon, but it was an important enough issue that I had to resolve it ASAP. So I walk in at my agreed upon appointment time (which was less than an hour after opening) and I see at least 10 people already standing around waiting for their appointments. This can't be good I think, but I check in anyway. Fast forward 40 minutes, and I ask what my place in line is. Still five people in front of me. Between the time I had already waited, the time still left to wait, the time it would take to actually resolve my issue, and my afternoon flight, I was hosed, so I left. For a second I felt guilty giving this place 1 star since technically I was never helped. But when you're required to make an appointment to see the "geniuses" and you're never even helped then something is very wrong and deserves to be exposed. Are we supposed to believe that Apple can make"magical" things happen with their products, but they can't figure out how to NOT waste their customers' valuable time by fixing their broken appointment system? And to be fair to this location, I'm from San Diego and this isn't the first time I've had to wait an inordinate amount of time to be helped at any Apple store. But it is the first time I finally felt pissed off enough about the experience to bother creating a review about it. Ugh. read more
