I wanted to buy iPhone through t mobile using anual payment. How could that be that the salesman said there was no link their side to do that & either I have to apply for Apple Card or loan. Based on my experience there, I think I'm DONE with buying Apple products. They ignore you. They tell you to wait at this area of the store just to COMPLETELY IGNORE YOU. If you're interested in purchasing something, too bad they're not interested in talking to you. They're more interested in either chatting with one another or staring at the mini iPads. i made an appointment with the genius bar to have my laptop looked at because i couldn't get it to turn on. i was helped by mos, who was extremely personable and helpful. i'm not great at technology, but mos explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand and answered my many questions. he got my laptop up and running again, and laid out my options for me without pressuring me to hastily spend my money. per his suggestion i will be looking into a new laptop because mine is getting old, but very happy to have mine working again for work in the meantime. i'd recommend mos to anyone looking for tech help. read more

Personally, I am not an iOS user, and cannot attest to the products, but only to the interactions I have encountered when visiting the store. Been to this Apple location a few times over the years, with a family member, and have always had a good experience. There has always been someone to answer our questions, and we have never encountered an issue with appointments or even pick-ups. Throughout the years, we've used phone set-up (appointment), battery replacement (appointment), item pick-up, and etc. With the amount of people always in the store, I used to dread the smell of b.o. in this store, but it has since "thinned" out over the years so it's been a bit better. Overall, I prefer to be able to visit a store and talk to a real live person, if we ever have questions or etc. because sometimes online chats can get lost in translation, and sometimes there are wait times as well. Prior to my last visit, I had contacted 2 (separate) customer representatives through the online chat function and received 2 different answers. After asking the representative in store, the information provided by both online chat representatives were incorrect to the information I needed. Make sure to do your due diligence! read more

The apple service here is bad, they're friendly but they couldn't fix any of the issues I had. They can't replace half an AirPod now? They can't help with storage? It doesn't make sense why they allow appointments with diagnostic testing if they can't fix the actual problem. Apple really is bad at customer services. Made an appointment this morning for early afternoon. Wasn't expecting to get one that fast, but did!!!! Great! I walked in 5 minutes before my appointment, I was checked in quickly. Then the technician came out to see what the issue was. I had a cracked screen from mid last week, luckily I had apple care. They ran a quick diagnosis on my phone to see if anything else was wrong, nope just the screen. Left my phone with them and had to come back 45 minutes later to pickup. No big deal since I hadn't been to the Brea mall in sometime. Nice time to stroll around and see any changes, since lots of construction going on in the parking lots. Cost me $29 to get a new screen. It felt like a good price, I think? I guess since I have apple care, it could have been free? Anyway it's done! read more

I was in 5 minutes early but still waited over 35 minutes. I had to ask why I was not getting call and they said, "I don't know." The service felt like I was doing them a favor, my tech person didn't even have any of my info and then wanted to help someone else. I know that this is poor service is common because I overheard an older Hispanic couple that had waited longer than me also have trouble while a younger couple had complained about having a later time get called right away. So why make appointments when all you have to do is complain to be seen. read more

Everything about this place is horrendous. Extremely loud, you have to yell to talk to the people that work here. They have hard wood low block seats in the far back they expect you to sit on where it's as loud as a concert. Talk about the worst service, zero value, and no care to help. They tried to say it's like a doctors office - haha laughable. No, a doctors office has chairs and it's somehwat quiet to where you can think and you don't have to yell. There is no value here. Horrible service. Many employees standing around and I could not get one to wait on me. Finally I went up to one of them who supposedly put me on a list. I noticed people coming in after me getting help right away. In fact, the guy that put me on the so-called list went up to someone who walked in and started helping them. I wanted to buy an iPad and a series 11 watch. I walked up to the guy told him to cancel me and walked out of the store, even though it was a holiday Friday there were not that many customers in the store. I see now why it has only a 2.8 rating. Was getting my daughter on the spectrum's older SE phone replaced since the screen cracked. It was under applecare should have been $29. The aluminum casing is slightly bent so they are charging $99. Customer service is bad. When you are buying a new phone everyone is nice. We bought a belkin screen at the tome we bought the phone everything is good. 4 months later the screen protector had a little crack on the side and per apple we have to order it at belkin directly to retrieve the warranty and we have asked apple rep to install the new screen protector and they said they do not install since its a warranty replacement. A week ago, I had to go to the Apple store in Brea Mall due to two things: Battery replacement (drained to low percentage) and no sound coming out of the receiver for my iPhone 12. I was struggling to hear any callers or when I call out. The only way, I can hear someone is by using the old-fashioned headphones plugged in. I can also hear anyone via the speaker mode. When I got to the store early morning, there were plenty of Apple Associates waiting to assist you. Within few minutes, I was greeted and checked in. After 10-15 minutes, I spoke with another associate about the 2 issues as stated above. The battery replacement was $89 plus tax. For the receiver replacement, it cost whooping $279.00! Before doing any service with my, the associate need to run the diagnostic program. I showed a printed information from the internet about the sound issue. "iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Service Program for No Sound Issues" (known issue). I was happy I was able to get the sound feature replaced for free. The service was done within the hour as promised. I was happy with the service and got the receipt for one-year free warranty. I will definitely come back in the near future. read more

I hadn't been to an Apple Store since before the pandemic. I needed to go today to see the Genius Bar about my wife's iPad. The experience was better than I remembered it. Check in was smooth and fast. I already had booked my appointment online and they walked me over to the waiting area immediately. I waited for maybe 5-7 minutes before being assisted. Kiana was my tech and she was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Long story short, she got the iPad up and running again, and we had a pleasant conversation while getting it sorted out. I updated to iOS 26.0.1 and now all my notes in my contacts are cyan-colored, dimmed and so hard to read. It only turns black and readable when you click Edit. Multiple great experiences. My first one was on 7/29/25. Had a major issue with my phone and even though I had to get it replaced. The tech that helped me was very insightful. I cannot find his name on any receipt, but it has a time stamp of 11:26 and repair ID # ending in -221. Hopefully that is enough to figure out who that was. I also then have been looking for an Ipad pro. I went to the apple store in Fashion Island as I live in Newport and the guy was not helpful and told me to just wait for the new Ipad coming out in October. After that experience, I decided to drive up to Brea to get an opinion as that was no help. I needed to know if the M4 could do what I needed it too because I dont mind waiting, but also am fine with the M4 if itll handle what I need. I started asking questions and the girl that helped me was honest and asked if she could grab an associate that knew more about the niche I was asking about. Kuddo's to her as I think it is 100% fine to say someone else might no more instead of just pretending you know. I wish I got her name, but she was great. Then she brought Travis to me. Stand up guy, informational, apologized for my experience at the other store without talking down on them as well. The girl that helped me did the same. He answered all of my questions and helped me make a decision to get it. He even told me it was overkill for what I needed and could go with a cheaper option if need be. Both my experiences at Brea were 11/10. It is truly unfortunate that a company that provides great technological solutions lacks any sense of customer experience in their store. If you make an appointment, you are still required to wait in a long line until an associate is ready to help you. There is no consistency in the type of service you will receive and more often than not the general attitude of the associates is annoyed, rude, and forceful. There are a few associates that I observed who seem genuinely helpful to the elderly with questions about their accounts but otherwise I cannot, in good conscience, recommend visiting this store if you need assistance. UPDATE: Brennan, the associate who helped us, became frustrated when questioned and said it was no longer his problem and that there was nothing he could do that it was not "the outcome we wanted." read more

This review is a LONG time coming - it's about an experience I had picking up my iPhone 15 so...about a year+ late. The world is pretty much split between Apple users and non-Apple users of which I am the former, so I love the products although this review is not related my devices. This review is purely for the employee who helped me - Skylar! And you have to admit it must be pretty impressive considering I have remembered his name and service for over a year now. When I picked up my phone he was the one who assisted me in transferring all of my information and patiently answered all the questions I had. However, not just that, but I noticed how he would keep an adept eye out for anybody else who needed help as well so he could move swiftly from customer to customer. One moment even comes to mind he noticed that somebody was having some difficulty while he was helping somebody else and he quickly asked for some assistance from one of his co-workers. My phone was taking quite a while to set-up but he made the time pass by quickly with his friendly demeanor and conversation. I actually came into the store earlier this year to pick up a MacBook and while he was not the one to help me this time (of which Stephanie was the one to help me and also amazing!), I noticed that he was still there and earnestly helping out multiple customers. There was also a very nice asian worker who understood that parking was hard to find hence the slight tardiness. They were all our favs! They four were so quick and efficient with their efforts and really felt like a team when explaining the components of an Apple Pencil and recommending AppleCare for the series 8 that we just purchased. They provided both an itemized and gift receipt. They are so welcoming, responsible, intelligent, and humble.
