I feel that I've been wasting gas driving anywhere else when there is a quality salon right here! The interior is beautiful. Very high end, clean and there is relaxing music. On a Friday afternoon I was seen right away so this visit was off to the right start- no wait! My nail tech was named Tina and she did my powder shellac manicure. This place is amazing. They just underwent a new remodel/renovation for the past 2 weeks and I was the first honorary customer to see the grand new space! Yay!! So with that said, they are giving 20% off all of the services and the owners told me that they are gearing towards customer satisfaction. Very attentive and friendly staff -- everyone came up to me and asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything. Complimentary drinks (red or white wine, water, soda, or coffee), rows of massage pedicure chairs, and plenty of color choices to choose from. Got a beautifully done shellac mani/regular pedicure - color: cajun shrimp per suggestion of Jessica. She was the first one to welcome me into the salon, helped me choose a color, and did an awesome shellac mani. Vivian did a perfect pedicure and the leg/foot massage was oh so divine. I came in asking for a snowflake design on my ring finger. The technician polished my nails beautifully and then proceeded to draw a horrendous snowflake. I asked her to take it off and just put glitter instead of a design. She told me, "Next time, tell me first." Really? I wanted a design you couldn't do... what is it that you want me to tell you first next time? I asked if anyone else could do designs and she said no. Nobody in the nail salon knows how to do any designs? That's interesting... Seeing as how you're a reputable nail salon. Not sure how I feel about my experience today. Apple Nails has been my go to place for some time now, but I think it might be time to find a new salon that can cater to my requests. I went about a week ago to get pink and white powder done. The technician was very friendly and the place looked beautiful, but the downfall is when I got home. When I initially left the day of my service, I noticed that there were a few nails that the white powder didn't completely cover, but at the time it wasn't too noticeable. Then as days went on it became more noticeable and the clear shellac type polish has started to come off. This was after having it for about 2 days. Just disappointed. read more

I chose the silver pedicure with the hot stones. Didn't catch the name of my nail tech but she was gentle with the right amount of firmness for my man feet. I sat back, earphones in and watched YouTube without a hitch. I decided to come here before my vacation because of the awesome reviews I read on this place. I got a mani/pedi that was ok, not amazing, but would have still had me come back. The terrible part was their underarm waxing! The lady had no idea what she was doing! She let the wax on for too long so the cloth got stuck and when she ripped it off it hurt SO BAD!!!! My underarm was bleeding aby the time she was done with both sides, my underarms were red/purple. I've been here before for past two years after work, maybe 5 times overall. Never had a particularly great experience but today I just walked out. Went in at 11:20am on a Monday and stood at entry for a while without being welcomed. One of technicians lazily asked me what I want. I said pedicure and waited another minute until a different technician prompted me to sit down in pedi chair. I waited 20 minutes. Only 3 were working and with clients but no one asked me for a drink, what pedicure I wanted and didn't even fill my tub. Imagine how awkward it is to sit with bare feet in a cold tub for 20 minutes. They could have at least set in the liner and hot water. They seemed so uninterested, and so slow that I just left. I also do not like the powder (pearl etc for water) or lotions they use. It feels like a condiment thrown in the pot without much flavour or smell. Lotion had always seemed cheap and slapped on my legs for a half hearted massage. I've only kept 2 stars because I've been to worse places where tools aren't new and I've been cut. Previous poorly memorable event here: Once a technician who had larynx surgery worked on me and she seemed exhausted and frail. I had a mani and pedi and it was horribly awkward to see a visibly tired and weak person try to give me a neck and leg massage. Overall a sense of carelessness and lack of hustle for the customer. I had an appointment for a full set and a pedicure. I came in a waited a bit for Lee to start on my set. There was a lady that started on my pedicure and I did not catch her name but she stopped and someone else continued my pedicure (OK). Lee started my set and I explained to her that I did not want my nails to be drilled and she said that there was no way that she could do the set because the powder would not stick. I do not like nail salons drilling my nails. It makes them weak and dependent on false nails. Lee kept answering the phone while she was doing my nails and I thought that was very unprofessional. She is supposed to be focused on the customer and completing the job. She was not polishing my nails correctly. I hate when the sides are not polished, that is a big pet peeve of mines. I had to keep telling her how to polish my nails. She told me that she would polish the sides on the second coat. I told her that I would like for her to polish my full nail on the first coat. Anyways we kept having issues due to that. She also tore up my cuticles and you could visibly see that. I expressed to her that they were sore and hurting. We had talked about me getting two nail designs beforehand. After she finally finished painting my nails with my directions she decided that she did not want to do my designs. She said that I was too picky. I explained to her that I just wanted my nails done properly. I told her that I wanted the designs and I would show her which ones so she couldn't mess it up. When it was time to pay she had charged me an extra $5 for the designs which she could of told me upfront as well. For the price I paid I expected great work and it was not. She's literally the sweetest woman alive and takes extra special care to accommodate any request you have. She's tender while trimming your cuticles or removing nails and that's such a lost art! When you enter the salon you'll notice how absolutely drop dead gorgeous the place is! It underwent a renovation a few months back and everything is squeaky clean and shiny. You can tell the staff take pride in the salon and it really, really shows. Their nail polish (shellac, powder, polish, etc) selection is out of this world good and they have a complimentary snack bar when you enter (fruit infused water, cookies, etc). I had Heard of Apple nails through a friend, she is very elegant and would not settle for mediocre places. I kinna stuck with my regular nail place just because they did wonders with my ingrown callus. I know, ewwwww, but what pretty woman doesn't have these issue? My old nail place has gotten too ghetto, a Margarita place with a Mardi Grass theme was put 2 spaces down and its becomed a place where men hang around too much so I don't feel safe anymore and the prices no longer match the place where they are. It's gone down hill for me. I will base my review on different things just so i am fair and make sure you can make your own judgement. Place - at first glance you don't see it as much of a place from the outside but when you step in you get distracted by the cleaningness of the place, how spacious it is and the cute coffee table set up but since I was focused on my nail art idea the snack table was not much of my interest...it was my first visit so for now I cared of the service as my next step in the review. Let it be known that I did look them up to know if they could do nail art. I saw some interesting pics from prior customers so I thought "why not?!" Anyway, here is my review: Personnel - as soon as I walk in I am welcomed by a nice lady that speaks a decent amount of English and she did not give me that "what do you want?" stare. She was just nice. I told her my nail art idea and said "yes, we can". I select my color and she sends a lady with glasses to do my nails (can't remember her name) and Suzanne is assigned to do my pedicure. The lady with the eyeglasses woke up grouchy or something because her demeanor was "I hate you and you and you". I asked to have my nails soaked (I know places charge more if they have to do this but I didn't care) because the last time I had my nails done was December 21 (long story). Anyways, she looks at me and starts talking in her native language and Suzanne tells her something and she pulls out an acrylic nail and tries to lift the old job this way so I said "no, I asked to have my nails soaked that hurts" and she gets mad and says "well this is faster I"lol do it this way and if it hurts I"lol stop" so I look at her and say "no, soak them, I don't care what you charge me". She gets upset and gets up as she starts talking in her language at Suzanne and they kinna get at it. REVIEW CONTINUATION... I am assigned a different person because I changed my nail art idea so they send the nail tech with the talent to work with Shellac. Her name is Vicki, she soaks my nails while I decide what I want. So to avoid the other lady I stick with my idea but I gave time for my nails to soak before giving them my idea. Vicki is very quiet and from what I was told she never has a day off and is good at what she does. Let me tell you about Suzanne, she is amazing doing nails; the hands of an angel and the patience of a saint. I am usually always very apprehensive with my nails. I always sink my nails to the arm rests because I either get cut when they cut my nails or they are too distracted talking to the technician on the other side of the room and I end up with a cut because they don't bother in separating my fingers when cutting my nails. So I always had to take some relaxing tea or med to relax me before going to my appointment. I can't believe I put up with that stress all these years!!! But the search is over. Not once did I flinch or had to be checking on how she was doing things. I actually got sleepy and dozed away for 2 seconds. FINAL RESULT - my husband looooooved the nail art. Of course, the idea was mine but the work was hers. So a good idea can go bad if the nail tech is not good. LAST MINUTE REQUEST - I had asked for a facial when I walked through the door but I think they forgot but accommodating was quick and Vickie was my facial tech. Suzanne suggested the Express Facial so I went with it and it was good. It would've been better if the lights were dimmed but maybe the room doesn't have the feature. EXPRESS FACIAL PACKAGE - normally the water used to cleanse has a lavender scent in many other places that offer facials. The smell was of old washing machine water. The products used were Dermalogica but this was for the clay mask only. While the mask was drying she massaged my shoulders, fondled my ears (I think she was trying to clean my ear walls, lol ), scalp and hands and walked out for a few mins. When she came back she worked on my hands and finally she started removing the clay mask "ouch"!. The cotton thingies were barely soaked so basically the mask was pointless because my skin was being stretched too much. Finally she uses a warm towel - maybe the soaked towel would've helped to losen the clay mask, just sayin' - Remember these details so you ask what the service offers and to describe the steps. The ingredients used are not mentioned in their service list so you have to ask. RESULT - will def come back read more

I'm very disappointed in my gel manicure that I got here today. I'm going on vacation and was hoping to have nice nails. 1) I came in with decently long nails. I asked to have my nails rounded and the nail technician made them square. When I asked her to make them rounder she said "MORE round?" And continued to make them extremely short and still squared. 2) she put several thin coats that were not even and formed bubbles under the gel. When I pointed it out to her, she told me it was my fault for picking that color. Which was a simple light pink. 3) she picked at my cuticles so hard that I started bleeding on one finger. Again she told me that I had hard cuticles and it was my fault for the bleeding. The reason I wanted gel was so I would have smooth even nails and I got extremely short nails with uneven gel color on top. I figure if I'm paying more money then my nails should last longer than 3-5 days. They have a policy for 48 hrs to fix your nails but then blame you if your nails don't last because of what you are doing.
