The worst Apple Store in San Diego. I made the mistake of coming here for support for my Vision Pro because it is close to my work. I needed a light seal replacement as the one that came originally was too deep. Official Apple Policy is that replacements are available within 14 days of purchase. The store manager flat out refused. Said that I would have to return the entire device if I wanted to replace one component that Apple has a specific policy to allow for. Do not come here. Go to any other Apple Store instead, but avoid this one like the plague. They don't even know official Apple policy. read more

I've never seen a more disorganized store. No dedicated cashier of any sort, it's just get help when and if you can. Kind of like making a dangerous left turn when you have a stop and no one else does. In my experience I've always waited at least 10 minutes to get acknowledged by anyone who works here. Even if you just want to buy something you have to flag someone down who is already helping someone else. I've asked staff who don't seem to be doing anything if they can help me and they claim they are already helping someone else but that "someone" is nowhere to be found. read more

I'm a big Apple fan but times are changing. Wait times are terrible even when the store is nearly empty also, they have a bunch of people doing nothing and it looks like very few can sell. To sell you anything they put you on a waitlist and the lady that put me on the waitlist is one of the most unfriendly and rude people I ever met, then I went to sit down in the chairs inside the store and after 20 min. I went to ask what happened and the lady said they couldn't find me with a bad attitude, at least they should indicate not to move where you were added to the waitlist or make the effort to call your name. For a tech company Apple has one of the worst methods to sell anything. I felt they were doing me a favor for selling me an iPhone, it is clear why companies fall after been successful. I made the mistake to complain to a Manager named Gaby and her attitude was the same and useless, so it seems that the bad service and attitude comes from top to bottom but let me be fair because there are some Apple store employees who are really nice and helpful. I walked in on a Friday night everyone is busy not too busy looking around for help cause I need to buy something. No one was free to help me for about 45min buying my stuffs spending that much of money they don't even give me a bag. Say yes all set thank you and left. I walked out with the headphones on my hand like weird. A big box I have to buy something at the mall to get a bag. Customer service here is really nice friendly and fast but sometimes it's weird, people standing there talking with each other instead of helping me out. I had a super bad encounter with their manager Nathan Velasco. I purchased an iPhone on the 14 and wanted my data to be transferred. They said it will take long and you might get it tomorrow. A tech lady called me and said it's ready but you can't make it tonight since we are closing exactly on 8:00 and the computers go off on the second. Just come tomorrow and get it. I had to go early right before my work. Nathan asked me for my ID. Told him she didn't mention I need ID to get my own phone. I thought she was there at the time. She wasn't. I asked to show my DMV id on my iphone Wallet. He said I dont have to take that since it's not mandatory to recognize the app in CA. I asked to show a picture of my ID on my phone but he wasn't having it. Asked him to talk to his manager but he rudely said nope you don't get to talk to anyone else but me and that's the deal. I ended up going back home and getting my ID. When I came back I was super mad. Asked him to give me the name of the lady who didn't tell me I need ID and got me into this mess from the beginning. He seemed like he is invisible and his employees are too. No I'm not giving you anyone's name and If you continue arguing with me I wont give you your phone. I told him ai need my phone now couple of times and he was forced to give it to me. The worst manager ever. He handled everything wrong. Will never step foot in that store. I happened to be at the mall today and decided to stop in to see the new HomePod and learn how it works together with the HomePod mini for whole house sound. This is a major selling point on the Apple web site so I wanted to see it in person before making a purchase. Incredibly, the sales person I spoke with told me in no uncertain terms that the two don't work together since "they have different processors". WOW, I am so shocked to read all the negative reviews of this store! I dropped my semi-new iphone at the Gym Saturday night and the screen broke! Half of it was all glitched out. I was super bummed. Someone told me to go to the Apple Store to get it repaired so I came here. I walked in without an appointment and was told it would be a 45 minute wait to see a technician to see if they could fix it. I waited and was texted when the technician was ready to see me. ( I could still read texts on my phone) I met with my technician, Daniel. He was so nice! He was SUPER upbeat and friendly and gave me so much advice and tips and took his time assisting me. This man really deserves a raise!! I felt he actually genuinely cared about me! It was great! He told me about the warranty-and if they find any damage it won't be covered, and gave me the whole rundown. Turns out it was just a display issue and my warranty took care of it and my phone was fixed within 30 minutes! Amazing! I came to this store three times to purchase a phone and was not successful. The first time their system would not connect to Verizon so they told me to come back. The second time their system to ship to the store and pickup to connect to your carrier was erroring and did not work And the third time they would not upgrade me because I left my id at home, but they said they could sell me a phone if I opened up a card with Apple care. How can you not sell me a phone without my id but you can authorize for me to open up a credit card? What type of "security protection for customers" is that? Getting Genius Bar help in the setting of Covid: Made an appointment online, which was confirmed several times via email and text. Received a phone call the day-of to confirm again and receive last minute instructions: arrive on-time (not early) and line up outside as you check in with security. Did just as I was instructed, and stood on the dots outside the store as the employee on the phone said I'd be asked to do. They welcomed me inside where the store was largely blocked off aside from 4 windows reminiscent of movie theater ticket counters. The employee that helped me introduced herself and quickly assessed my issue. After just a few minutes, I had received a replacement component and was on my way. The entire interaction felt safe, yet quick and efficient. I was out of there in 5-10 minutes! Thankful the Apple stores are open again, since it took Best Buy an hour of my time and several days of waiting to address this same issue while Apple stores were closed during peak Covid. read more

Took my laptop in to get assistance, prior to this we were promised that since the laptop had prior issues from the first months of buying it,( it's a lemon ) that apple would honor the fix or replace the laptop of issues persists, whether it was in set warranty or not. The employee at this location said that since it wasn't in the notes he would NOT honor it. He also said that they wouldn't because it was no longer under warranty or insured. He said it would cost 698.00 not including tax to get it fixed even though it's a manufacturing issue. The lack of assistance and care to their costumers here is appalling. Apple used to be a company that cared about their costumers but it's history now. Going into this store was a waste of my time. I left this store shocked and disappointed in the apple company. These support centers are far from support, they are focused on making a dollar and not customer satisfaction like Steve Jobs was known for. The sad part is that I was quoted close to 700 dollars and the monitor works fine on my laptop. When moving the monitor to a certain spot it works fine. So its the connection and not the monitor, they just want to rip me off. read more

Brought it in Wednesday evening, Joe recommended sending it off for a AppleCare (mostly covered ) repair. He estimated they would send it back Sunday, I'd get it at my home Monday. RE-TRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES! I don't think I can emphasize this enough. The employees were unfriendly, misleading, and have poor customer service. I thought Apple would have excellent service but boy was I wrong. I spoke with Michael and he had a lot of attitude. I don't care how crowded it is, you don't act like I'm stupid because I asked a question that I didn't know. I went to Apple for a reason, to get my questions answered. Anyways, I called their store to ask about the Apple Recycle Program because I wanted to trade-in our old iPhone 5s for store credit. Jose told me it was crowded so I should make a genius appointment. I arrived their on time, was told to wait in line at the center of the store, and the guy at the center ended up telling me to go to the front of the store to check in!! Wasted 15 minutes waiting. Then Michael, the guy at the front of the store, asked what I was here for and we told them we had an appointment for trading in our iPhone 5s, and he told me we can't do that because the genius apt is for tech support but that wasn't what Jose told me. If I can give zero I would. I bought an apple case for my iPhone 15 thinking that the quality is excellent. In less than 6 months, the corners were thinning out. They did exchange it but today, my phone dropped accidentally and the case got a tear and my phone got nicked. I went to this store and they said that both are not covered, a nicked corner and a torn case protector. The manager said the case did it's job, the drop didn't damage the screen. So my nicked corner and torn case I just have to live with that. Terrible warranty, very low case protector quality and staff who just want you to accept that the warranty does not cover the issues. Lesson learned is do not buy apple's phone case. I did not experience this at all in any of the generic cases you buy at Amazon, in all the years I've owned a cel phone. read more

I am forever grateful to the employees here, especially a female tech whose name I cannot remember! I came here a couple weeks ago after I accidentally spilled green juice (ironically named heavy metal detox) alllll over my keyboard. Sick. I had rushed to the Carlsbad Apple as they opened an hour before this location, and thought I could try to get ahead of any damages. Well, after wasting an hour of my time with a useless bunch of staff at the Carlsbad location who basically said they couldn't help me, I was able to make an appointment at North County a few hours later. It was night and day with the staff... North County was so welcoming and empathetic to my situation. I didn't wait more than 20-30 minutes, and when my tech came out she was extremely helpful. Without me asking, she offered to take my computer to the back to see how bad the water damage was whether it's a clean and dry or needed to be sent out for repairs. I nearly flew out of my seat to hug her... because that simple gesture was what I had asked Carlsbad to do and they said no. I told her my experience at Carlsbad and she confirmed they are useless! Anyway, come to find out the damage was pretty bad and needed to be sent out for repairs. Makes me wonder if Carlsbad cared as much as North County did, how bad would the damage have been without soaking for a few hours? Well, THANK YOU NORTH COUNTY STAFF for helping me in my time of need and making sure my computer is back to new! read more

Go find Mike, the sturdy guy that no one wants to mess with, but he's such a sweet, helpful giant! He helped me with my iPad purchase. I couldn't decide initially which one to buy and he explained to me about the different options. He didn't push me to buy anything. At the end I settled with the regular iPad and he said he had one too and was a good buy. The store is located inside the Escondido north county mall. Parking wasn't too bad. The lot was huge! The store itself can be crowded during weekends so maybe go there earlier in the morning or during weekdays. read more

We purchased online and had an email confirmation that it was ready to pick up. The email stated to go in and let an associate know what I'm there for and they will bring it out. I went in on my lunch break and was told I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour. I said I'm picking up what was ordered and already paid for. The guy said they were busy. I left and. And back later in the night when it wasn't that busy before closing. I ended up waiting again over half an hour while withers was just standing around chit chatting with each other. I had to ask again if somebody can get my order. I saw people behind me get helped cuz they were looking to buy something. All they want to do is upsell people that are browsing around.
