A HUGE pet peeve is to receive my food along with my check.The waitress asks while laying my check on the table (with my food), would I be wanting anything else? I said I would've definitely wanted coffee and maybe pie afterwards but since she brought my check out, nope I don't want it now. I explained to her that I wasn't trying to be rude but when you bring a check out with my food, it sends a message of eat and go. I also explained that most people leave tips based on amount spent so by doing that, I'm spending less money, therefore her tip will be smaller. She says the owner makes them do that but I noticed three tables of obvious regulars and not a single one had gotten their checks yet. Hmm? Why not bring my food, let me eat a bit, ask if I want a drink refill, inquire about how my food is? Then when you see I'm close to being finished, ask if I would like anything else? Coffee? Dessert? Then either bring me the check or wait for me to ask for it? The place definitely wasn't crowded and there's not a line at the door so what's the rush? I gave 2 stars because the food was decent. read more

My friends and I love this place!!! It's the only place, rather than dutch bro's, that's open 24/7 in our town. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. JENN IS AMAZING!!! Best waitress I have had at any restaurant!!! She is one of the ONLY reasons we go to the restaurant! You can walk in having a terrible day and walk out a whole new person because of her!!! You can talk to anyone in town and they most likely know who JENN is. If you have gone here and haven't met her you need to try the place again. My friend and I stopped here in Sutherlin for breakfast on July 2nd, on the way home from the coast. The place was very clean, the service excellent and the food was very good. I even did a little shopping for the great marionberry jam that they sell. I was a waitress and restaurant owner for years. Came for a late breakfast on a Sunday. Place is like an Elmers, Dennys, Shari's, etc. Menu has pretty much everything. I had the veggie omelette, which wasn't that special, but tasted fine. The biscuits were amazing, and with apple butter I was in biscuit heaven. These biscuits are in my top 3. My buddy even liked them, and he is not a biscuit fan. He also said the country gravy was really good and he enjoyed his bacon, swiss, and broccoli omelette. I would probably come back for the biscuits and the deserts looked very tempting. read more

What a place to have a family dinner. Everything about this restaurant screams family. As soon as i walked in i felt like i was at home. Within 3 minutes of me an my mother walking in we were approach by the nicest server ever. Her name was Linsey P, the whole hour i spent here with my mom i never saw her without a smile off her face. She was running 7 tables by herself, and never took that beautiful smile off her face. She is a natural with some proper training she could be running this whole restaurant all by herself. Great service! The waitress and cook were wonderful and super friendly! My omelet was delicious and packed with fillings, the eggs fluffy. It's easy to screw omelets up (I'm super picky!) but he did a great job. I had a special request to sub sides and there was some confusion, but they handled it wonderfully. The service was excellent but the food was not appealing. I ordered soup and something else during my first visit and although that wasn't good I figured since it is a local restaurant I would give them another shot. During my second visit I had meatloaf and gravy, and BlackBerry pie with ice cream. The ice cream was good. The meatloaf was the worst I've ever tasted- it had the texture of steak tartare. Yuck. Went here with my wife while on a road trip. Service was a bit slow but the food was good enough. However, when they brought out her English muffin it was stuck to the plate. Someone had put freshly chewed gum (it still smelled strongly of mint) either on the muffin or the plate before serving. We didn't receive an apology or discount or anything. This restaurant needs to use fresh ingredients in the dinner meals, salads were limp, taco salad had a strangely spiced ground meat (beef?), the liver and onions were passable, but the side dish (peas) tasted like they were out of a can. Bad service and worse food! When it takes 15 minutes to get extra sugar while your coffee is getting cold is rather ridiculous. But when you are a party of 3 (2 are sharing a burger) and your food is served over 1/2 hour after being ordered is ludicrous! The manager here is a complete moron! We ate there and had a $10 restaurant.com coupon and spent the minimum spend amount $20 (we spent $21.50) to use the coupon. Then when we went to pay he says "OH no you have to spend $20 in cash before you can use the $10 coupon for a total of $30 minimum. That is NOT how Restaurant.com coupons work. I've been using them for years and never had a problem with any other restaurant. Now I see in the reviews on Restaurant.com that other people have had the same problem there and complained, but it obviously does no good. Why is he on Restaurant.com if he isn't going to go by the rules!?! Other than that the food is just so-so but at least the waitresses are very nice and efficient. If I could give this place no stars I would. Terrible customer service, we stopped by on our way from WA to Cali. Fish & chips were bland, fish was so watery and frozen in the center. The waitress was slow, took her 15 minutes to even take our order. Food came fast, but was literally shit. I'd recommend this place to you if you like slow service and shitty food. read more
