I recently cracked my screen and came here being that they are the only Apple store in Queens. I had a previous horrible experience so I was kind of dreading come back but didn't want to trek it into the city. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the team members were this time around. The visit was fine and my phone was repaired in about an hour. Everything was fine when I left the store. Later that night a thin red line appeared on my screen and I could not for the life of me get rid of it. It was kind of annoying to have to go back and get it fixed which is why I didn't give them 4 stars as I originally planned. I HIGHLY recommend making a Genius Bar appointment ahead of time because without it the wait can be up to 2 hours. I came out of necessity but they're not at the top of my list of Apple stores. So as you can see from my last review I wasn't happy with my experience at this Apple Store. Well that has definitely changed. I was having more problems with my Powerbeats so I had no choice but to go back to this store. To make a long story short I had to go back twice more. Each time I went back they were friendly very knowledgeable and did everything in their power to help me. I'm not sure why I was having so many problems with my Powerbeats but that's not the fault of anyone at this store. They replaced my Powerbeats with the buttons earphones. I've only had them a couple of days and so far so good. I have a apple 7 plus so I decided to buy some Bluetooth earplugs to go with my new phone. I bought the New Powerbeats. For a few weeks they worked great but then all of a sudden they wouldn't turn on. I would have to go into settings on my phone and manually turn them on. I've been to the Apple Store three times to get someone to look at them. All three times I was told speak with the man outside of the store. All three times I was told the wait is a hour, two hours and once I was told three hours. The funny thing is they will take your money to buy something asap but if you have a problem totally different experience. This past Sunday, I want to buy a iPhone 7 plus for my mom for Mother's Day gift, i first saw there was a line outside of the store with 4-5 customers waiting in line, so I ask the Apple staff, an Asian Filipino looking young girl who's helping to organize the line, How long is the waiting time ? She answered me THREE HOURS. I was like excuse me?! 3 hours to get in to the store? I double confirm with her, she was like yeh 3 hours and giving me the attitude. This trip only served to strengthen my dislike for big corporations such as apple. I was told it was free to replace missing keys by apple tech support, with or with out a warranty. What a wasted trip. Waiting at the "genius" bar, only to have them take my laptop into the back room, and tell me i needed to replace the whole keyboard for $200. Upon later review of the laptop i noticed it was returned to me without the keyboard clip, and the mental holding units bent out of place. After buying the new key from a third party seller, and putting the metal back into place i am able to successfully write this review, on my fully functional key board. Either the laptop technician is incompetent to the point where he forced a key into the laptop, accidentally bending the brackets and mistakenly misdiagnosing the problem. He's uncaring/lazy, or is just trained to sell people on the $200 fix. read more

I finally purchased a MacBook Air after having a crappy Dell for ten years. I spoke with Renato who went above and beyond helping me choose the correct model. He was very patient with me. He also took the time to walk me through the set up even though that's not his primary job. Never once did he make me feel like I was a burden. I always hate going to Apple, as it's always chaotic and over crowded, but he made the whole experience enjoyable. I can't say enough nice things about him. I know that I'll continue to go back to this location and purchase all things Apple from him. read more

I never write review, but I just had to share my experience. I drove 45 minutes to get here after being given misinformation by a rep at the Apple Store in Roosevelt Field. In Queens Center, I dealt with Eric, and he was PHENOMENAL. He listened to what happened to me and went out of his way to help my daughter get the laptop she needed in order to start college next week. He literally spent almost an hour helping us! He was so understanding, patient, kind, helpful and responsible in the manner in which handled us and our information. I can go on and on about how terrific he was and will follow this up with a phone call to Apple to let them know how grateful I am to have dealt with such an amazing associate! An apple store in queens was MUCH needed. It has always been a hassle having to commute to either long island or manhattan to have someone take a look at my phone. The store is spacious lie a typical apple store. I went on a thurday around 11am to have my phone looked at. The wait was 2.5 hours. Probably my own fault for not making an appointment but who would have guessed that it'll be so busy! Despite the wait the staff was super helpful. They saw me standing around charging my phone and asked if i needed help. The person who ended up helping me with my phone also answered all of my questions. read more

This Apple Store is located in the Queens Center Mall. Trying to find parking in the area is horrendous. Once you find parking, you are good to go. I arrived at Apple a few minutes late for my appointment because of the parking situation. However they Apple team still let me keep it. The staff was very friendly and they changed my son's defective phone immediately. They set it back up after they changed it. I noticed they were doing a class while I was waiting. read more

This location is the worst and Steve the store manager I need you to know that you are the worst thing ever happened to my face in the evening I walked into your store. I bought my phone online and did in store pick-up on 12/26/18. I went to pick up the phone the next day on 12/27/18 and it was not ready. I spent over 2 hours getting my new phone and activating it. I came home and found out that the phone was never activated and could not receive calls or use my wireless plan. The phone was reading no SIM card. I was not able to go back to the store when I discovered it, nor did I want to. I went on the Apple support page and the only way to get help was to either go into the store or have them call me. It is ridiculous that when you select that your phone is getting the reading of no SIM card that they think the way to deal with this is to talk over the phone. I decided to try chatting Verizon, my wireless provider, before having to walk back to the Apple Store in the rain. After over an hour with their technical support, I found out that the Apple Store gave me a SIM card that did not work. The Apple Store technician had told me my phone was activated and just needed to finish downloading things on my wifi. During the set-up my phone had been stuck on activating for a long time, so the Apple Store technician supposedly fixed it, but really he just skipped the activation part. read more

I came to this Apple Store a few times. The first time I went was to check out iWatch. As I was looking at the watches a guy came over and asked if I needed help. He was great in helping me. He answered all my questions. I ended up not getting it because iWatch need iPhone and i have a Samsung. The second time I went was to check out MacBook Air and MacBook. A girl came over to help me. She answered all my questions and told me that for what I am using it for a MacBook Air is good enough. I didn't by it on the spot because I still wanted to look into other computers and compare. The third time I went was to check out a case for my MacBook Air. A guy helped me this and made shopping there great. Besides answering questions about the case I wanted to get he also answered all other questions I had about MacBook Air. The fourth time I went was to get a new earphone. My own one that came with the iPhone 5 was washing in the washing machine so now it does not work well. I saw a rose gold urbeat earphone and bought it. I walk in and employees are chatting it up with each other, there's even complete circles with backs turned towards customers. Not sure if they're off the clock or what, bad look regardless. Waited for someone to even acknowledge me, no luck. Finally I decide to go up to someone and SHE PRETENDS LIKE SHE DIDN'T SEE ME AND WALKS AWAY. I followed and said "excuse me" even louder because now I'm annoyed. She says "sup" and calls another girl over to help me. The girl who helped me was actually very nice so my gold star goes to her. She was patient with processing my exchange and made friendly conversation with me which was a pleasant change from the previous 5 minutes. I had bought a MacBook Pro the day before and was given the wrong color. I went for an even exchange and ended up paying $4.12?? The girl said she would ask the manager to void this however came back with news that he had said no and that I had to pay. I was so frustrated but didn't want to make a scene and I knew it wasn't the girl's fault. I paid it so that I could just get my MacBook and get past this horrible experience. $4 may not be a lot, but considering the fact that I bought a $1500 MacBook, was given the wrong one, had to take time out to go back and exchange it while also paying parking at this mall and getting treated poorly ... who wouldn't be pissed? read more

I needed a few Mac Books to give as gifts from myself & my boyfriend who was out of the country when I went to the store. When I had a question I texted him in front of Felipe, the salesman. When I went to purchase the items I was approached by store manager who actually profiled me, suggesting I was a retiree or empty nester. He told me I was being scammed & was doing me a favor by denying my purchase. I left the store with nothing. I left the store for good. I called Apple & the rep was shocked. We are a family that have apple everything and use to go to the Apple store jn the city. Always had to wait an unbearable amount of time to get help and usually that comes with a side of frustrated tired employees so we ventured out to this location instead prepared to wait a few hours. We walked in to get our new iphone fixed without an appointment and was greeted asap, given a 15 minute wait but got a text about 5 minutes later that they were ready for us. Obviously anxious at any surprise charges we were told it was an easy fix and still under our warranty so it would cost us nothing. We decided to wait in there since there was a class going on for the new ipads and the gentleman Alphonso was giving informative stuff I didn't even know it could do lol Glad we got to see a portion of it . He was really fun, engaging and you can tell he loves what he does. After his class he notice us checking out the health products like the temporal scanner, walked over to demonstrate & introduce the other cool gadgets they have. Great personality and you can tell he is genuinely happy with what he does! Thank you for your help !!! After answering all our questions we sat back down and people watched lol noticed all other employees had the same cheerful attitude. Tough since we know working with the public can be annoying at times. When the phone was fixed about 45 minutes later, we noticed a crack on the camera. The young lady Monique reassured us it would be fixed asap since it was clearly damaged during repair. So here we are thinking ahhh another hour wait but we were out in 10 minutes with a new phone replacement. This location would now be our go to for apple help. Made my appointment like a week ago to get my iPhone X fixed, came to Apple Queens Center like 6 minutes late, still able to get my reservation. The employees that helped with both making sure Social Distancing and other COVID protocol was top shape. Just an hour to get my phone fixed. Best experience at Apple even during COVID-19. Feel bad for that employee that was getting yelled by a 15 year old and say that she was their for a free paycheck. Funny part she was helpful and she know her thing. Avoid Apple's yearly upgrade program - big mistake.. they send me a faulty iPhone 11 pro on Monday Oct 7 ... over 2 hours on the phone for them to figure out it was not working, had to restore my iPhone Xs at Verizon the next day ... can't order another phone for over 48 hours as Apple's inferior trade in program couldn't exchange phone so I have to wait for refund and to show in computer that I haven't used my yearly exchange... I ordered the phone in September which came on Oct 7... ( 3 week wait) ...now if I order iPhone 11 pro phone again I won't get it until November .. supervisor suppose to call back in 24 hours - well still waiting since Wednesday night .... The store looks like every other apple store. Stocked like all apple stores. Hence franchise. Though unlike other apple stores --- they do not go out of their way to help the customer. I've always had a hassle free experience with other places with the iconic apple logo. Maybe this one should be painted rotten. Unfortunately I had to deal with this store for a specific matter. By far the worst apple store I've ever been to. I knew what was wrong with my phone and it specifically related to the hardware but the genius bar rep kept on insisting to restore the phone back to factory settings and the problem would be fixed. Even though she reset the phone the problem was still there. I was told the phone would be fixed at by 4:20PM. I showed up on time but had to wait an additional hour outside the store every time I asked if my phone is ready the security guard would say not yet. I waited till 5:20 to pickup my phone and even then the rep who gave me my phone back had no sense of humility or even apologize for being an hour late then the reported time. The crappiest apple store ever. Better off at 5th ave or anywhere else but here. When I requested to talk to the manager she'd send one of the sales rep to talk on her behalf as she didn't have the guts to talk to the customer. read more

Wish I could put 0 stars! Absolutely outraged. My daughter went in today (after being instructed by Apple Care over the phone) stating how she needed her hard drive fixed for homework. Panicked because she could lose everything - employee Rahul told her "i won't fix anything if you are panicked like this it doesn't help your hard drive to be saved. The bad reviews kind of scared me, but I was in Queens and wanted to try out an Apple Pencil. I had a great experience there. I found a friendly, helpful salesperson immediately. Renato really took the time to show me how to use the Apple Pencil with Pages, Procreate, and a coloring app. And he also showed me the difference between the iPad and iPad Pro. This made all the difference in the world. I've heard amazing things about the Apple Pencil, but you really have to try it out to see how naturally you can draw with it. Don't listen to the bad reviews of this Apple Store. Go for yourself (it's new and beautiful) and try to find Renato. He's very knowledgable, attentive, and super nice. SECURITY GUARD PULLED CUSTOMER SERVICE REP AWAY SAYING WE WERE SCAMMERS!! All because preordered iPhone through AT&T and AT&T referred us to Apple. iPhone 8 screen is frozen 11 days after purchase, Apple is the scammer. The service representative Ronaldo said he couldn't take the phone back without phone charger cord. Spent an hour going back home and it wasn't needed. Spoke to the manager Steve who would not apologize for being called a scammer (we had our receipt and ATT highlighted the Apple policy to service the phone). He then said he'd appreciate if we LEAVE THE STORE. Back in AT&T store. The iPhone 8 is a dud. Manager said he may not even take it back - could be water damage. Worst ever customer experience and I will contact Apple corporate to give them feedback on this awful store. AT&T is telling us to file a complaint against Apple on Apple.com which we will do once home. AT&T is giving us a new phone now due to this horrible experience at Apple right now (passed their closing time happy about ATT only). THE PHONE IS IN PERFECT CONDITION SCREEN IS NOT RESPONDING TO FINGERPRINTS. ATT again said get names of people at Apple (Steve manager and awful security guard that refused to give name). I went there for fixing my MacBook. I understand they only have two certificated person to do this , I'm willing to wait . I made appointment in twice. First time, they put led my appointment from Sunday to Monday without my permission. The second time, I arrived that store on time, on guys told me to wait said he was going to ask someone to come. But he did tell how long to wait. After 30 minutes, I used up all my patience . I asked the workers whoever just walking by, no one cares! I asked "can you check whether I check in or not ? " they goes like either " I cannot , I'm busy" or " if you got check in , you should be supposed to wait few minutes" I was so mad , and I asked" ok , how long usually taken to wait ?" That person was rude ,said "I don't know" with attitude! Finally, I found the manager, she checked for me, and told me my appointment has been cancelled! No wonder that no one came to me ! The manager was nice , put me back in the appointment right away. And my technician, Eddie is professional and nice too. I felt sorry to give him attitude due to prior uncomfortable experience. But I really wanted to complaint other persons who just wanted to take commissions by selling new phones and tried to ignore the old customers who needed help ! It is wonderful that they put an Apple Store in the Queens Center Mall because it is convenient for the people in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens. The location is perfect! It is spacious and clean. It has the products in stock and the current staff are the sweetest apple employees I have ever met. The new employee shirts look really nice, too! The staff seem very knowledgable about the apple products and were very helpful and welcoming. I will be at this location all the time! read more
