As an Asian I tried so many teriyaki place but they were about the same.. My friend recommended Apple Teriyaki and it is the BEST! The portion is very generous and it's not dry chicken as other places. Happened to visited the Apple Teriyaki last Saturday & they had Saturday only menu. I had one order of Spicy Tuna Roll which I didn't have big expectations but WOW! I had 3 orders Togo after I had chicken teriyaki & one order or spicy tuna roll at the restaurant. My friend had Shrimp Phad Thai which as Saturday menu as well and I tried it was delicious as well. Well I have other reason to visit Redmond! Restaurant is pretty well organized & clean compare to other teriyaki restaurants. Cashier was very helpful! I was talking to couple of their regular customers & said their Mongolian chicken & spicy chicken is their favorite. I will definitely try them next time for sure! read more

I love this place. Friendly and tasty. My only complaint would be that the cleaner they are using smells bad and you can detect it sometimes when you walk in. Also, the honey garlic chicken usually sticks to the tinfoil if you get it to go, and some of the pieces are over-fried and impossible to eat. This is a small price to pay though, for the deliciousness. Oh, and anyone who says that the lady is rude is out of their mind. She is a sweetheart and you should be ashamed. read more

I was really expecting better for $9 worth of fried rice than cheap short-grain white rice, canned peas and carrots, and horrible meat that I would be ashamed to try to pass off as chicken. Way over-cooked dark meat. I was expecting jasmine rice, breast meat, and fresh vegetables. Sure miss my Joy in Portland. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. I hardly ever review but this place has the best dressing for salad. I put it in the free egg drop soup I put it obviously on my salad I put it on my teriyaki chicken I put it on my gyoza. Food is good , but the lady was extremely rude. I purchase a pineapple Jarrito and when I open it the bottle was broke. Went to the counter and ask for a replacement, she refuse to gave me a refund or replace my drink, in which case I was like there no way am just getting ripped off. So I took it from the fridge and gave her the broken one. Ohh lord she went wild screaming at me saying it's wasn't my house and I was not educated, try to explain to her I was just grabbing a different as replacement for the broken one. My God save me from this Lady, she started saying I need to apologize to her and I was still shock, she even kicked me out and my party of 4 and asked us to never came back. I have been a patron since they opened. I asked to sub chicken breast on a combo and was told no, I shared that I was happy to pay more, at which point I was yelled at saying no and they don't do custom orders. When I told her she has no reason to be rude, she hung up. As of today I will never give them my business again. There are better options in downtown Redmond, Yummy Teriyaki and Sunny Teriyaki, this was convenient but I will drive the 5 extra minutes for service and quality. Updated 2019. Seems like there are new owners that don't care much for their old customers. I would always (for many years) get the triple combination and request for Katsu chicken instead of beef. This is just as much a scathing review of Yelp as it is Apple Teriyaki. Several months ago I went to Apple Teriyaki as one of my co-workers suggested it. The first several bites were what you would expect from a teriyaki restaurant, then I found a pubic hair. I believe this is important information for any consumer that is using Yelp to make an informed decision about the restaurant they are thinking about visiting. Instead, my post is filtered and taken off the main page under Apple Teriyaki. I frequent Yelp to do just that, help make informed decisions and if the only reviews are 3-star + reviews with the negative write-ups omitted then it completely defeats the purpose. The fact remains that I found a pubic hair in my meal and am not happy about it. We came across this place going in deep into the Redmond Suburbs. This gem is located in a little strip mall. Because i did not want to eat at subway anymore. I convinced my friend to eat here. They serve chinese and japanese plates. Pictures on the wall help you make your choices. Order away and help your self to the FREE soup they have on the counter. It's usually a eggdrop vegetable soup. I usually get two servings as it was still cold in the winter months. You order and pay then wait for the plates to arrive. Servings are a fair size for the price. It hits the spot when you don't have many choices. read more

I stopped going here because of the way the owners treat some of their customers. On their white board there is always a scripture from the Bible. The problem is they are NOT that kind. Food is good, but after witnessing on a couple occasions their true colors I will not go back. Also, they smoke in the back of the place and sometimes when you are in the business you can smell it. Totally surprised by how good their Spicy Chicken Teriyaki was. It is strange why they only have 3.5 stars. This is probably THE best teriyaki I have had. There was also a small salad which was extremely fresh. I walked in and ordered Spicy Chicken Teriyaki for dining in. The place probably had 10+ people waiting in line and most of them were picking up the food. They all had 3 or 4 orders which tells me this is a popular spot. Very good teriyaki in a cute little shop in Redmond. I came in on a very rainy Friday night and it was very busy, a good sign. The cashier was very good at multi tasking, as she was bagging orders and taking new ones. Some of the customers in line were getting irritated about the wait and it was clear that the cashier was doing the best she could. The teriyaki was definitely worth the wait. I had the spicy chicken teriyaki with an eggroll. The portion was very generous. I made two meals out of it for $12, you can't beat it. They do have a sign that says cash preferred. I am not sure if they don't take cards at all, luckily I had cash on my that day but this would be a downfall in the future if I was craving teriyaki and I didn't have cash. The cashier was extremely friendly and I had a great first experience here. I will be back. read more

I work nearby, and often either have lunch here or pick up some dinner-to-go. My experience is that as a restaurant, it's a fairly ordinary teriyaki place of the sort you find about as often in the Seattle area as Starbuck's, but under that surface lurk a few things that keep me coming back. Mainly, of course, the teriyaki: salty-sweet, just the way it's supposed to be, and the meats have always been cooked deliciously. I'm partial to the chicken, and my wife always wants the pork. Less obviously, the place is always kept very neat (not a given for such places, in my experience) and the service is always friendly and helpful. I've not sampled a large range from their menu, and I should be ashamed of that, but my excuse is this: I've tried a couple of their Chinese offerings, and found them, to be generous, unremarkable. Nothing I wouldn't put in my mouth, but nothing I'd drive to the corner to get, either. The teriyaki, though... that's worth the trip, and when something works that well, it's really hard to look at anything else. That said, I will try more. I will. I will. As I read in other reviews, apparently screwing up your order isn't anything new for this place. HOWEVER, screwing up an order, apologizing and quickly rectifying it is ONE thing. Arguing with the customer for a solid minute and insisting that he said what you thought he said is quite another. Why in the world would you argue with me for that long as to whether or not I wanted what you brought out? What is the point? I think this is the key example of a place not realizing "the customer is always right." I wonder if this person has ever successfully convinced someone that they ordered what she had brought out. I have been going to Apple Teryaki for a few years but something has definitely changed and I'm not sure if it's the ownership, COVID or what but the lady taking my order wasn't very nice which is surprising and unfortunate. I used to love their teriyaki chicken and Mongolian Beef but the last two times I have gotten it the food was poor quality and an even smaller portion. Once again not sure if it's COVID related but disappointing. The egg rolls are still the best around but they are pre-made and just need to be fried so tough to screw up. Since there are a couple of other teriyaki places in town I think we will be going somewhere else. I hope things change soon so we can come back. read more

Excellent honey garlic / Teriaki chicken special. Honey garlic in particular provided a very smooth flavor not too sweet and not too strong. Breading on chicken was also very light and tasty. The Teriaki chicken was better than I am used to. Overall very nice place! My wife had the gyoza plate. Apparently ok (about usual). Friendly staff and well organized dining area. Awesome. I came in around 7:50 p.m. And I am so glad I did. The food was awesome I had chicken teriyaki and it was plentiful. 2 scoops of steam rice and plenty of salad to complement the food. The owner was very nice he showed me where the utensils work without me even asking. When I put in my order he told me it'll just be a couple minutes I went to use the restroom and by the time I walked out the food was ready. Definitely going to have to come out here again. Moved to Redmond almost 2 years ago and originally avoided this place after reading some poor reviews. Decided to finally try it out one evening as it was conveniently located next to another stop of mine and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I've now become a regular customer and truly believe this place needs more positive recognition. They are polite, fast, inexpensive, serve generous portions and are honestly better than a couple other local Teriyaki restaurants with a better average review score. The service I got today was exceptionally bad. My little girl loved the gyoza from this place, we usually order on the way home from work. We ordered today, and it took us 20 min to get there. Got in to order and they hadn't even started one of my orders. No problem, things get busy. But then in a restaurant that is completely empty aside from one family dining in we were ordered to wait outside. It was really rude. When should we come back? They didn't know, threw out an arbitrary time. Then to top it off they let a grub hub guy wait in the store for his orders. This is one of my favorite Teriyaki places. My favorite dish is the spicy chicken teriyaki, they mix the spicy sauce when they cook it so the whole dish is covered in it and they also add white and green onions to it to make it extra delicious and it served with white rice and salad. The lady that works there knows me and every time I walk in she remembers my order to the detail. My favorite teriyaki place in Redmond BUT I really don't like how the owners constantly pushes you to buy your food to go when they are nearing closing time. I got to Apple 25 minutes before they closed which is at 9 pm. After I finished ordering I said for here and the owner said I had to make it to go because he was closing at nine. This hasn't been the first time this has happened as I visit often. Again the male owner is a very nice guy but the fact that he doesn't let people enjoy their food there when there's still time there I think is not good customer service. ***UPDATE****** Issue has not happened again. As a vegetarian, I highly recommend the Veggie Fried Rice and Vegetable Tempura. Vegetable Yakisoba is also good, but not as amazing as the previous two. I do not recommend the Tofu Teriyaki (it was just strips of unseasoned tofu with Teriyaki sauce drizzled on top). read more

We have eaten here many, many times have they have always been very quick and very polite. We live just a few blocks away, and if I leave right after ordering, it's always ready for us. Not sure what the other reviewers ate, this is by far the nastiest teriyaki ever. I write this after finally leaving the bathroom after two days. I never should have eaten it in in the first place. I got take out and when I got home five minutes later, I opened the container to find charred strips of chicken and gelatinous mounds of what was once rice. Th chicken was lightly drizzled with what tasted like teriyaki flavored cough syrup. I was ravenous so I ate a few bites of chicken. It was like rusty screws and fingernail filings going in. Out was much, much worse. I could not eat the rice (thank goodness) as a fork would not pierce the tiny glob of undefinable slop. I did not try the slimy rotten salad. If zombie apocalypse came and this was the last food on earth I would starve. Also I saw the back kitchen. Dirty and gross. The floor was covered with trash and the grill hood looks like it has never been cleaned. If your really hungry eat that ancient granola bar under the back seat in your car or bag. Or drink your spit and call it a day. Anything is better than a two day date with the potty. And in case your wondering... It definitely was the teriyaki unless the cream of rice I had for breakfast was made of ground glass and hate. read more

My FAVORITE place of all time. I go here at least once a week because I'm obsessed with the food. I highly recommend the chicken chow mien (I get it spicy too but both is good!) also the pot stickers are really good! Very good people! Always very welcoming and will definitely give you the best service they can provide. I used to come in maybe two times a week for lunch before i start work. Because my workplace is constantly busy and are stores are next door, they sometimes come by to drop off our food we ordered while its hot. Their portions may not be as big as some other teriyaki places, but its definitely good quality! I always get the spicy chicken katsu and it never disappoints me. read more

I saw some comments about the owners not being friendly however our experience was the opposite. They came over after we ordered our food and gave my daughter a free Capri Sun and were very friendly.
