The chicken teriyaki is classic and so good, exactly what you want when you are craving comfort food. The General Tso's chicken was another standout, super crispy with a great tangy sauce. I also tried my mom's spare ribs and they were excellent, tender and full of flavor. Everything we had was on point. The tempura was light, crisp, and very fresh, and the gyoza was really good too. The house teriyaki sauce ties it all together and is honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Great food, generous portions, and consistently satisfying. Apple Teriyaki had good portion sizes, food was hot and the service was good as well. Where I feel they missed a bit for me is in the fine details and tastes. We ordered spicy chicken teriyaki and the sweet and sour/ teriyaki combo. Overall, the food was okay. It did not taste very fresh and felt like I was getting some older pieces of chicken for my teriyaki and sweet and sour. The spicy chicken teriyaki had quite a few pieces that we had to throw out. I wasn't a fan of the salad dressing and found it too watery for my liking. Unfortunately, I also did not like the taste of the fortune cookies they used. The food was just okay, nothing to write home about but okay for a stop. They were pretty quick to get the order out as well. The decor inside is nice and it was decently clean however, some spills could have been cleaned up on the floor. If you're in a pinch or close by it's an okay choice but I do believe there are better teriyaki places nearby. read more

My family and I have been coming to Apple teriyaki for many years, it's always been the bet teriyaki in town. I don't know if they changed their recipe or maybe I got a bad batch but this teriyaki is NOT like it used to be. The sauce isn't even the color it should be and has a very sour taste. This place has been my go to for teriyaki ever since my childhood. They have the best egg rolls !!! They are gone immediately LOL. My family loves them. Their fried rice is so delicious. My favorite is the shrimp one. One thing I did notice during this visit is they gave me sweet n sour packets when they would usually hand out house made sweet n sour. I was disappointed since their sauce is so good. I wonder if they were out or this is a permanent choice. Prices are okay , they have been going up but that's understandable with inflation. Cashier up front tossing orders back to the master chef in the kitchen who's probably cooking 30 different meals and exemplary on each. The portions are huge and the price very reasonable. I ordered two chicken breast teriyakis and fed myself and wife for a week. The variety of the menu is amazing, if you can't find what you'd like, you're just a picky person. Easy location getting into it, parking can be tight sometimes but it's right next to the highways even though surface streets get you there easier. I work right across the street so easy for me. I ordered the Mongolian Beef/teriyaki chicken combo 17.99 and a potato croquette 2.49. First of all, the amount of food you get is enough for two. It is basically a full order of each meat and 2 giant mounds of rice. Well worth the price. The potato croquette was sooo good. Creamy inside and crispy outside. The katsu sauce it came with was the best. Not all watered down either. The chicken was moist and cooked perfect. The teriyaki sauce was generous and very good. The beef was really good. I wish they had an option to make it spicy. Also wish they had a bit more veggies in the mix. NOT complaining, just my preference. Went here for lunch during a visit with my parents. I had the garlic chicken, dad had a tofu dish, and mom had teriyaki pork. All of the food was steaming hot when it came out and obviously freshly made, which is sometimes questionable at other places. Everything was good. The lady that was behind the counter (I assume to be the manager or owner) has a great sense of humor and is friendly in that kind of way that makes you feel like she already knows you. She also demonstrates concern for the customers' satisfaction with their orders. She overheard my mom trying to put her salad on my plate because she didn't want it and made it a point to come over and let her know that the next time we come in, she can ask for any substitutes (extra rice, steamed vegetables, etc.) that she wants. There is also free hot tea and soup (which varies by day), and if your order totals over $20, you get a free 10-piece order of gyoza. The location itself is a pretty standard teriyaki joint, but the overall quality of food and service is above those of other places around Fort Lewis. read more

We have been looking for a place that had good teriyaki since we moved here from Seattle, 10 years ago, finally found it . We had the Apple special #2 which comes with chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, chicken Katsu and Mongolian beef and it was wonderful- everything had great flavor and it wasn't greasy at all. The only thing that I thought wasn't amazing was the chicken yakisoba - it wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about. This will definitely make our regular places list. read more
