Well, first off the prices are higher here. No lunch specials offered like most others. I could see if you're getting dinner portion to match the dinner prices for lunch but it's a very standard portion. We are used to having enough to save some for snack or another meal, this was not. At $38 for two lunch meals (no drinks and just 1 w/salad) I'd call that pricey. The teriyaki chicken was decent being tender w/some char flavor and did have some sauce on it, although a bit sweeter than we prefer. Salad just iceberg w/ok dressing, rice a bit on dry side. My General Tso's was over fried, dry and mostly chewy, disappointing. The time to put together the order was impressive, while at counter he had 3 other orders coming in yet had ours ready within 10 mins. The bad thing is they are still using STYROFOAM!! That was banned at start of year!! That alone is reason not to support, using cheap unhealthy packaging illegally yet charging top dollar. Sad read more

This is spicy chicken teriyaki it is 15$ after tax but oh yeaaaa big portion of chicken plus they have teriyaki sauce on the table!! That's a big big plus because everyone loves the teriyaki sauce so you know this place will let yu have as much sauce as you like! Ramen was like home made top ramen with the hot powder like from the hot bowls n they added veggies n chicken. Pad Thai noodles was under cooked, noodles was tough. This place sold me leftover food on 2/20/2024. The hours listed on this Yelp page are wrong. The door was open when I walked in at 10:45, but was told they don't open until 11:00? The guy was nice and took my to-go order anyway. The food was ready surprisingly quickly, and that should have been my clue! When I got home, my parents immediately noticed the rice was stale and the chicken was tough because it had been reheated. My mother said, "this food was not cooked today." Lesson learned: don't expect freshly cooked food right at opening. The two-star rating is because the workers were extremely nice and appreciative. My new take out for teriyaki in Puyallup. Service is very good and take outs are done quickly. Food presentation is consistent and very good overall. Chicken teriyaki is very good if you don't like it marinated like some other joints. Ordered the orange chicken for the first time and it was nice and crunchy. Not soggy. Cost for the teriyaki chicken was about $3 less than my previous restaurant. Cashiers are always courteous, and restaurant atmosphere is quiet and clean. Will be trying other menu items in the future but that door entrance needs some adjustment to make it easier for customers to come in and out. read more

We decided to come here on a whim and so glad we did! We both had the Modoo box and it had pot stickers prawn tempura teriyaki chicken and salad and rice and an additional entree. Use to come here around 20 years or so ago with my dad all the time in the weekends. And just moved back to the area so figured I'd check it out. This is the 2nd time in a week I've been here but ordered different both times. Today I got the General Tso with Gyoza as well. The Gyoza was cooked perfectly with a nice light crisp around the edges and soft but not chewy centering. Excellent. The General Tso oh boy!! Perfect crisp in each bite but not over cooked like I've gotten at a lot of other places. The sauce has just enough spice flavor to it without really being spicy for me at least. Glad I drove past this place and decided to give it a try again after so many years. Will be back again soon too try another dish. If you've been here I want to order your favorite. This is my very favorite Teriyaki place. Local Business on Fred Meyer shopping mall. Chicken and Gyoza is my order 90% of time. I also enjoy Chicken and Prawn-combo. Honey Nut Prawns are a splurge. My son is mainly Beef teriyaki and broccoli combo. We always.add an order of Gyoza. If I have a cold I have to have their egg drop soup. I dug right into the vegetable tempura and it was pretty good. The broccoli was HUGE and ended up hurting the roof of my mouth! Their Gyoza WAS SO GOOD! Looks like they used wonton wrapper and fried it to perfection. The outside was crunchy and the filling was seasoned just right. Chicken Katsu was dry and their sauce was alright. Chicken Teriyaki was moist and delicious. Yakisoba... I thought it was alright. Noodles were a little overcooked. DH said it tasted like "metal" which I agree it had a funky aftertaste. Decided to try this Teriyaki place for first time. Ordered the Almond Chicken, Won Ton soup, Pad Thai, BBQ Pork, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Orange Chicken and extra sweet and sour sauce. The Almond Chicken was ok but not great. It was not breaded. The Won Ton Soup stuffed noodles were too soft. The Pad Thai was ok, but the BBQ Pork had regular mustard instead of hot Chinese mustard (wtf??). The Sweet and Sour chicken had hot chilis in it like they made the General Tao's chicken by mistake. The Orange Chicken was ok. The extra sweet and sour sauce consisted of a small 1 oz plastic container of it (we expected a lot more). Overall very disappointed. I went here for the first time last night, new to town and wanted teriyaki. Ordered a katsu/gyoza combo with extra salad, no rice, and a chicken teriyaki. Food was good. The gyoza had been recommended, and it was very good. The katsu was also good, but I wished there was more. No problems with the food...but the portions I am NOT happy with. Normally, when I have the rice replaced with extra salad, they just fill up the container with lettuce where there is normally rice, right? My bill was $18 and change, and I tipped a buck. I get home, and find my order, which SHOULD have been a large container, was a scrawny little half-sized container! Husband had a full-sized container, and his order DID contain a salad--the menu said it was included--but I also got only a scrawny little salad, no extra at all! By the time I got home they had closed. What the heck. I think I will be trying the other joint in the same parking lot, I do not know if I will be back. Very unhappy. read more
