To be clear the 5 star review is for Eric S and Eric S only! Eric S. and Richard (an older Caucasian man, description due to not knowing last name; he was terrible) were the main staff I interacted with during my visit to the Apple Store on 1/1/26. I arrived right when they opened, so that I could have my phone repaired. Eric S. greeted me right away and checked me in. He handed my ticket to Richard and sent me to the back to wait for further assistance.Once Richard had my ticket, everything went downhill. He never spoke to me, just took my ticket and walked around the store, completely ignoring me. I sat there feeling uncomfortable, and had to ask another team member what was going on. I've honestly never experienced such bad service. When I came back to pick up my phone, Eric S. checked in with me. I told him about what happened, how I saw Richard walking around with my ticket and not assisting me. Eric went above and beyond to help me, even though he was heading to lunch and didn't have to stop. He really saved the experience. Huge thanks to Eric S. for being professional and kind. I just hope no other customer has to deal with Richard, because the lack of communication and respect was unacceptable. read more

Came in yesterday because my phone hadn't been charging well, and they helped clean out some lint that had found its way into the ports. They were super helpful, and the location is absolutely gorgeous too. My only hang up was that I did wait about an hour to be seen for what turned out to be a super simple fix/issue. The employee herself told me that next time I should just ask for a "port cleaning" on my device and I'll be seen much faster. Regarding repair # Repair Number: R693828161 They are making me jump through hoops to get a Milanese loop that is UNRAVELING and CUT ME, DRAWING BLOOD replaced. The band is actually UNRAVELING on the right hand and is SHARP. I went to Santa Monica to get it fixed and they said they were going to replace it but I have to come pick it up. I told them I wanted to pick up at the Grove. Then I realized what a pain it would be to have to drive there, park, pay for parking (they don't validate) and told them I wasn't up for it because I was not feeling up to. Now that I feel better and am ready to fix this before my travels, they told me the repai order has been closed and I have to come in and ask for a replacement AGAIN! It is SUCH a hassle to have to go and park there and pay for parking, its literally 1+ hours of my time each time and I'll have to do it TWICE. I literally cannot understand why they can't just mail me a replacement because I have to PAY FOR PARKING AND SPEND AN HOUR OF MY TIME EACH TIME AND I'LL HAVE TO DO IT TWICE. I admit, when I first saw the Apple Store at The Grove I was pretty impressed. With it's glass doors, 70 foot ceiling and rows of live trees it looks like a combination of a human terrarium and a temple to the coexistence of nature and technology. Now, I'm am most definitely an Apple person: I'm not a zealot, but my MacBook and iPhone (and various other devices over the years) are essential tools to me. A few days ago, my MacBook had a problem with the screen. I have no idea what happened, but the entire screen was dead. So, I brought it to the Genius Bar. Now, I've brought devices to the Genius Bar before...my old Macbook gave up the ghost after four good years and I was able to buy a new MacBook and have all my data transferred in a day. Until this visit, I'd always visited the Apple Store closest to me: the one in Glendale Galleria. And I'd never been disappointed. However, here the repair took four days and even though my device was ready at 1pm today, I wasn't informed of it until after 6pm. And I had been looking at my phone hourly to see when I could grab it. So, while this place looks great, it's Genius Bar could use a little work. read more

I opted to pick up my new iPhone at The Grove so I could get it quickly and not have to wait around for it to be delivered and run the risk of a porch pirate getting you sweet new iPhone! That being said, it was on the verge of being chaotic picking up my pre-ordered iPhone at the Grove Apple Store. I set up a pickup time online. I showed up a few minutes early. There was a well-organized line to check in, and a very kind and personable young lady orchestrated my getting my phone that I had ordered and escorted me to the area where they said they could help me set up my new phone. This is where it lags, literally. A gentleman started helping me set up my phone, but he kept getting interrupted by other employees asking him questions, so he'd help a little and then go away, and then help a little. It was super annoying. On top of that, I think they must have a DSL or an old-fashioned dial-up modem for wifi because it was ridiculously slow. Other people trying to set their phones up were also stuck in download limbo. I gave up and took my new phone home and set it up myself. I suggest you do the same if you get a phone there. There's nothing easy about having them help you set up your new phone. I thought it would be, or I would have set it up myself in the first place. On top of that, they don't validate parking. My phone was having issues so I went in a couple of times to resolve. Service was impeccable each time. Ultimately decided to get a 17 pro max. I thought the process would be quick but it took multiple hours. Everyone was so nice though offering Apple TV recommendations and just helping the time pass. We visited the Apple Store at The Grove around 4:30 PM on November 23rd to try the Vision Pro. The check-in process was smooth, but the employee assigned to us (a female staff member with red hair, glasses, and a badge that seemed to begin with "LO") gave us one of the most shocking and humiliating experiences I have ever had in a retail store. What made this so unacceptable was this: The issue was NOT language. It was her deliberate intention to create obstacles, embarrass us, and deny us service. The moment she realized we were not native English speakers, her entire attitude changed. She began using unexplained, overly technical commands--like "nose bridge"--without any demonstration, clarification, or intention to help us understand. When we naturally asked what she meant, she didn't explain. She didn't show us. She didn't communicate. Instead, she repeatedly snapped at us with an impatient, dismissive: "No, no, no, no!" And then, in the most unacceptable moment of all, she raised her voice and told us: "You guys need to learn English." This was not miscommunication. This was blatant discrimination and disrespect. And here is the most ironic part: After she refused to continue the demo, another employee came over. He also started with the unnecessary question: "Who speaks better English?" --which already made us uncomfortable. But then, using the simplest, clearest English imaginable, he completed the entire demo with us perfectly. No confusion. No misunderstanding. No difficulty whatsoever. This proves one thing: The first employee did not reject us because of language--she simply did not want to treat us equally. Her behavior was not about communication. It was about attitude, prejudice, and a complete lack of professionalism. So I must ask the most important question: Since when do customers need native-level English to experience an Apple product? Is this an official Apple policy? Or is this simply the bias of certain employees who feel entitled to decide who "deserves" service? Apple constantly promotes itself as a global leader in diversity and inclusion. But what we saw in this store was the exact opposite: Language used as a tool for discrimination Technical terminology weaponized to test customers, not assist them An arrogant, dismissive attitude that rejects rather than supports A complete lack of respect for customers who don't speak like native speakers For me, this was not just a bad experience--it was deeply humiliating. I work in the film industry, and my entire workflow--my devices, my software, my ecosystem--is built on Apple products. I rely on Apple daily and believed in this company's values. Hi. I went to the Apple Store at the Grove and the woman figured out what I needed and was gonna help me, but I needed to go back to the car and get my glasses first which I did. When I came back a couple minutes later, she said she would find the right person to help me and had me go sit at a table at the other end of the store where I waited and waited and waited and waited while Apple employees were walking around and talking to each other and finally after at least 1520 minutes or more I don't remember exactly how long I went back to her where she was talking to another employee and asked her what was going on. She said I was waiting for the right resources or something. I don't know. It sounded like double talk to me and then the guy she was talking to. She looked at and said oh maybe you can help him. I said never mind. I'll go to another Apple Store. Oh no, no no no he can help you well why wasn't he helping me before? Why did I have to come back and ask what was going on after all that time? The biggest one I have ever been to, and not by choice, lol. My friend and I were walking around, and he said I HAD to look inside, so I did. As most of you know, I am a proud green bubble and have been for my entire cell phone owning life. He, however, is an apple freak, and he is one of those friends who continuously clowns me to get an apple phone. Well, that's not happening in this lifetime, and certainly not in the next, lol! I went to the store on the night of 12-31-25 because my iPhone was having startup issues. Orion was the person who was my "genius" throughout the time I was there. He was a nice guy but I could tell he defintely wasn't one of their best workers. Although I like authenticity, he was too authentic for a Apple employee. who amongst various responsibilities has a responsibility of selling products for apple and representing the company well. That comes from me, who is someone who has worked heavily in sales since he began working, and currently works in marketing. We had casual talk throughout the time he helped me. Quite a lot really, and although I didn't try to bait him into severely downplaying products Apple sells, I did ask him questions that gave him the opportunity to severely downplay apple products and that's exactly what he did at times. He had a hard time at various times commuincating what the strengthens of specific apple products such as casings and iPads after he woukd commuincate at the weaknesses of various apple products. Also when he went on his break he told me he would he'd be gone for fifthteen minutes and was actually gone for about forty. No one came to speak to me about the long wait and when I was speaking to another customer about the wait, another "genius" inserted himself into the conversation and said in a carefree tone that he'll check to see what the hold up is, he never did nor did he have someone else do it. When Orion finally came back he was talking to me about the food he just indulged in that his manager had provided for him and his coworkers. He did not mention the extra wait I had dealt with. Sucks to know while I was waiting after the 15 minute mark, that Orion was chilling and just eating. When we resumed working on my phone I had to ask him many technical questions because he wasn't being clear with me on how the remedie work he was doing on my phone could affect my phone, even if the remedie work made it operatable again. He was trying to be confusing so he could avoid accountability if the remedy work severely damaged my phone which based on would he said, was very likely going to damage my phone. He had said he had worked for Apple for 11 years too so his knowledge of Apple products and the remedies did not match the experience that someone who has been employed by Apple in the position for 11 years should have. We managed to get my phone to be operatable again and he told me that I needed to buy additional iCloud storage for my phone. So I proceeded to buy the storage. The phone starts being difficult again, when it comes to trying to make the purchase and I let Orion know that if we don't need to do the purchase then I'm fine with not doing it. He didn't say much in response to that so I clarified with him; if it was neccessary for me to buy the phone for it to operate and he said no, and that the purchase of the storage really is only being done so I can have spare storage since my phone didn't have much prior to the remedies being performed. So Orion had lied to me, because he told me beforehand that I had to have the additional storage and could only get it via buying a Apple gift card. It became too late to just not do the transaction because by the time he told me I didn't have to buy the gift card, it was bought and the money was loaded onto my iPhone. I asked him if we could just reverse the transaction so I could be refunded and he said he had to ask someone else because he wasn't sure. After he goes to ask, he comes back and tells me I'd have to speak to customer support about since the money is already loaded on my phone. Generally speaking my customer experience was good because the Inital Apple employee I spoke to upon walking in was very pleasent to talk to and very helpful and also because my phone was operatable when I left but Orion is what made the experience very sour. Of course I recommend if you go to the Apple Store at the grove instead of other nearby locations like the ones at Century City Mall & the Beverly Center that you clarify your "genius" isn't Orion. read more

I believe the guy who assisted me name was Lyric! I was next in line in the pickup line. After I came, there was a fellow brown guy and a Caucasian woman with her daughter. The young lady who worked there was still helping someone so a Lyric (I believe that's his name) came over and automatically started helping the Caucasian woman and then ask me for my ID and I ask him is it first come first serve and he said and I quote "I was just coming to help my friend" I said well in that case I was next, then him (fellow brown guy) and then her (Caucasian woman)! Whenever I have an appt. with the Genius bar or basically need to stop at an Apple Store locally in L.A., this is my first pick in Los Angeles. It's so easy to park at the Farmer's Market and walk over or you can also park in The Grove's main structure which is closer and get free validated parking for 2 hours. Just remember The Grove's parking validation is void if you're there more than two hours, then it goes up to $15. It's fun parking at the Farmer's Market next door because I just buy a snack or coffee and get my parking ticket validated for 90 minutes. It's so nice to pass by the fountains on the way to the Apple Store. This is a big beautiful Apple store with mega high ceilings and I love that it's located in an outdoor mall with The Grove's musical fountains just outside the entrance. The stores repair/replacement service has always been pretty fast. Usually 30 minutes for a phone (back it up before you go to save time) or AirPods, and about 24 hours if it's a laptop that needs a repair estimate. I usually do my Apple purchases online so I get some extra miles or points via a portal like Rakuten and then pick it up here at the Apple Store in person. It's just a very convenient location and parking is free with validation. read more

Finally, I was able to acquire the phone I needed and tried to return first phone purchase, but they didn't allow me to return it due to it being passed 14 days? I'm pretty sure this is the biggest and most beautiful Apple store in LA! It's gorgeous inside with insanely high ceilings, made to look even bigger with mirrors giving echo chambers to the images inside. They have real trees in the shop! I can't even keep a cactus alive and they are keeping 10' tall trees alive out of the ground here. I had to stop in a few times this past week for help reformatting my mama's old MacBook. The lady apparently never applied any updates causing some issues with wiping it. All of the staff I dealt with was so kind, so helpful, so friendly and the whole process was so quick. I ended up having to leave the computer there to be worked on but the process was so organized that I had no worries at all. The laptop was ready the next day and no charges to get it in tip top shape. I've been really happy with the service at Apple at the Grove and highly prefer it to the Century City location. Be sure to get validation for parking in the back of the shop. Also, every time I've gone in, they've had a cool event happening. One time they were teaching some basic app coding to kids and yesterday the author of the The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse (book turned Apple TV movie) was doing a Q&A. I needed help to find and purchase Air Tags and I found 2 employees nearby, who were conversing with each other. I went over to them, said "Excuse me," and they continued to chat it up. One of them even looked straight at me and went back to her conversation with the other employee. Then, after a minute, one of them asked if we needed help, as though I was bothering them. Sometimes. If only I could give Apple at the Grove a zero star rating, just like they left me with zero laptop... I broke the screen of my laptop and sent it to get fixed. I was quoted for ~$500. I was advised the item was ready for pickup and could be picked up by April 6th. I could not pick the laptop up at this time so I called and extended the date to May 20th. I was told that would be okay! Unfortunately I forgot to pickup by May 20th. I called yesterday (June 21st) to update my pickup time and was advised it's been past 60 days since the laptop was serviced. As a result, the laptop was considered "abandoned" and sent to the warehouse. I was flabbergasted! I had to search in my email because I had no knowledge of this. I went back to the last email (which was sent April 30th) indicating that my laptop was $0 to pickup (it was initially $500). I would have picked it up sooner if I knew it would be free!!!! That laptop was $2000 and they sent it to the warehouse. Now I'm left with NO LAPTOP!!!! Im so distraught because I have so many memories on that laptop. Not to mention, I took a $15k coding bootcamp course (the reason why I purchased the laptop) and had all my libraries downloaded into the laptop. THAT WAS REALLY DIFFICULT TO DO AND NOW ITS ALL GONE!!! ALL MY MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN!!! Not to mention, the Apple associate (who supposedly would leave a note for the unavailable manager) I spoke with on the phone seemed a little too cheery to tell me that my laptop was sent to the warehouse. She even laughed with her associates in the background. I asked if there was anyway to pick it up since it has a model number and she replied, "it's probably at the warehouse being taken apart right now". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I'm already so distraught knowing I no longer have a laptop, and now she's painting a picture so I can feel even worse about the situation. I should have picked up my laptop sooner, and Apple could have also notified that I had until the 30th to pick it up when I called to change the pickup date. Had I been told that at the time of the call, I would have been sure to pick it up ASAP. I'm not saying I don't take fault, but I feel as though Apple could have tried harder to get into contact with me. I received no voicemails and no emails past the month of April. I called in and could have been notified/reminded of this part of the contract, which is actually buried deep in the terms and conditions. We came back to pickup after 2 hours and it was ultra hectic because the person at drop off never asked to add me as an authorized pickup- so it took 45min to finally get the phone and it's still not focusing whatsoever. Ive never had a worse experience with apple. Couldnt be more disappointed in customer service, support, or the repair service. I came in with an almost brand new apple macbook m1 pro (2 years old) having battery power issues. No water damage or anything i couldve done i guess... "sometimes things just happen" was literally the answer i got. I dont have apple care but i thought the issue would be an easy solve or at least a somewhat affordable repair. Its the first and only issue ive had yet. They quoted me at an almost 1k repair service that would probably lose my data for a logic board repair. When i asked if i could trade in my computer to put it towards a new one they said it was worth nothing. A 2 year old 3k computer worth nothing! Not to mention that they were short with me while i was deciding what to do, didnt offer any discount or any reasoning behind the computers failure, and even had the gaul to not offer any other options. To put a nice cherry on top of the grand that i ended up paying them they wouldnt even validate my parking. Steve jobs would be rolling over in his grave. What a joke apple has become to just steal absurd amounts of money for no value. read more

This Apple location is beautiful and aesthetic from both the outside and the inside. I had an appointment to get my MacBook checked out for possible virus damage and I arrived about 10 minutes late due to finding parking. I was in and out relatively quickly and was only there for 5-10 minutes max. The genius I worked with today was short on words but was able to quickly verify my MacBook wasn't virus ridden. I was only parked for a very short time so I was disappointed that I still had to pay $5 as most parking structures have no charge under 30 minutes- 1 hour. - 1 star for parking and -1 for customer experience when compared to other locations read more

The other day I came in to get something minor looked at on my phone and Brendon was PHENOMENAL. He went above and beyond to help me as well as he was enthusiastic the entire time. Once again Apple has saved me! I had to purchase a new Apple pen. I came to this location and Miguel assisted me with my purchase of a new Apple pen. This store is large and there are plenty of associates willing and available to assist you with your questions and purchase. When I walked in there a class was going on with tips for IPad 10 users. Miguel gave me a tips on the care and usage of my pen. Miguel asked if I need my parking ticket validated? I was in and out in a matter of minutes. Last week, I went to The Grove to pick up the iPhone 16 I'd ordered online -- a replacement for my iPhone 11. It was up there with the absolute worst experiences I've ever had in retail. The customer service was appallingly bad. There was an error with transferring my Verizon service to the new phone, and I was passed from one salesperson to another (a total of 5?). I'd had some not-so-great service at that store in prior years. But this topped it. Where was the appreciation for the fact that I'd just spent $1,000+? Shame on you for treating customers like "just a number." I assured the last person I spoke with I would never, ever return to that location. If you're in the area, try the Beverly Center or Century City locations. My recent experiences at the Beverly Center store, in particular, were especially good. read more

iPhone pick up was a disaster. What's the point of having a reservation and having multiple lines for different time slots just to take people from each line. There were people with 10:45 time slots waiting for their phones still at 11:45 while they were taking people from the 12:00 time slot line already. Also no validation with the disaster of the lines. read more
