Terrible service! The waitress was SO slow with everything. There were several staff members just standing around at the bar. We sat at a table in the bar area for 10 min. before I went up to the bar to get happy hour menus. At which point, I let a bartender know our party was ready to order drinks. He rudely responded with, "We'll, I'm not your server...but I guess I can let your server know." Another 10 minutes passed before our server came to take our drink order. Then, it took yet another 10 minutes before we got our drinks (30 minutes in). Then, for any additional service we needed, even like basic water refills, it took a whole-table team effort to flag our waitress down. Honestly, she seemed really oblivious. Just like any other Applebees. Great to go for happy hour for drinks and appetizers. Really good customer service and the manager comes to check up on you and see how you are doing. I highly recommend their chocolate molten dessert cake. Probably should've read the reviews before choosing this place for dinner.. Never mind the waitresses name because apparently she's not the only one. She was rude, forgot our food twice and never came to refill any of the empty drinks at our table. When we finally asked what happened to our appetizer for the 3rd time she brought it after we finished our dinner. She then proceeded to make a joke by saying "here's your dessert" which was hot wings. I didn't laugh and I should've complained to the manager Kyle. So, my husband and I are moving to Victorville and we were driving around. This newer area of Apple Valley is really nice and it was getting close to dinner. I'd only been to Applebee's once in San Diego and really liked it. I ordered a pasta dish with the stuffed meatballs and my husband got a steak with fries. My dish---the pasta and alfredo sauce were really good but the meatballs were cold and the cheese inside wasn't melted. The reason I didn't send it back...my husbands order My husband ordered the 9oz steak with double fries. He told the waiter he only wanted fries, no veggies, no mashed potatoes. Now, we know you don't go to Applebee's for a steak but he wanted to go to this chain resturant and I was game. When he got his steak it had veggies and mashed potatoes. He told the girl who brought the food he asked for ONLY fries. She took the meal back and came back with 1. the same steak, 2. fries and 3. MASHED POTATOES. He told the girl he only wanted fries and at this time the waiter came by and they argued in front of us on what the ticket said in the back. So, the meal comes back for the THIRD time and it's THE SAME STEAK just on a hot plate. I asked my husband how he knew and said there was mashed potatoes under the steak. The steak looks so dry from the other side of the table I told him to send the whole thing back but he was hungry and ate it. He said it was ok but very dry and well done, he asked for a medium steak. The waiter whose name I can't remember, he was that memerable, was slow and didn't do a good job. When we left we left my husband said he wasn't going to even leave a tip. I told him we have to leave something so they know they gave us poor service... he left a dime. We will not go to this location again, maybe in a year after it's been opened for a while. UPDATE: Gave it another shot a couple weeks ago. OH MY. We got the 2 for $20 deal. We got our appz and a side salad, not even 5 minutes passed and they were bringing our entree's. The food was too hot too eat and when we asked for refills on our drinks the waitress just laughed it off because "we aren't that busy right now." Ok you're not that busy but can you time the order correctly. I guess not. I went on the corporate website to let them know how horrible it was and got a call from the manager. I did speak to a manager that day and he gave us a discount but we were not asking for anything. When I called the general manager back,he never came to the phone. I called on a Tuesday around 3pm. Dear lord, don't ever come here this is eating absolute sh*t in the neighborhood. First I ordered the Whiskey Bacon Burger. The patty was like a block of charcoal. As I waited for almost 45 minutes for a burger and it's too big to fit in your mouth. Also the buns are harder than your grandpa watching Grace and Frankie. If you have a choice between Applebee's locations, pick the Apple Valley location. It's better than the one in Victorville, far less dated, and not usually as busy as the other location. Food is good, and menu has been slightly revamped, so it's a brtathes some new life into the typically dated environment Applebee's offers. I also like their health conscious options, giving everyone in your group something to be interested in on the menu. read more

The waitress staff needs better training to better serve guest needs, so that service is consistent, food brought out when warm not cold, empty dishes removed and not stacking up until told, and ordered items not forgotten. The cooks appeared to be new or undertrained, which would explain one burger's meat being medium rare while another to be burnt. Lastly, need to learn how to serve instead of merely placing all the drinks on one side of a table for group of 15, to then having the paying patrons figure out the drinks and pass them along. So, does the waitress still get the 15% tip or can we do a 60/40 split? I will not choose to come here again..... Not a great restaurant experience that I care to repeat! read more

This place was awful. We should have just walked out like the people in another review said they did. We were seated as soon as we arrived around 850pm. We see our waitress and order drinks, she gives us our drinks and we order our food, over 45 minutes go by and we still haven't been served our meals! Our food is finally brought out by a different waitress and everyone is done eating in about 20 minutes. Still our waitress had been MIA since bringing our drinks. About 30 minutes go by since we are finished eating and we are still waiting for our check!!! So I stand at the front where you wait to be seated to try and get someone's attention so we can pay our bill and leave but still not one waitress in sight. By this point I'm extremely irritated and about to walk out on my bill when the manager comes out and asks if everything is ok. I told him no that I'm pretty upset that it took almost an hour to be served and then over 30 minutes just to get our check. The manager ended up taking 10% off our bill but even then it wasn't worth all the waiting around for mediocre food. After the manager brought back our receipt I saw our waitress for the like 2nd time of the night, she asked if she brought us our bill and I replied that someone else had already brought it and we had paid. She said well the manager took 10% off and then she walked away, it seemed a little rude to me. I will definitely not be returning to this location again. Rounding third on a very very special date night with the wife :) so Leeann's staff here at Applebee's doesn't mess around when it comes to hospitality we were greeted immediately and seated in the bar where we were hoping to end up, the late night happy hour is priced just right and the appetizers are 1/2 price that always sounds good in the late evening ! This was probably the worst experience of had in my life okay so we came in after these ppl who had a3 person party, we also had a 3 person party we gave our name and were put on the list. One person sat inside and waited the rest went outside . They called every white person that came in after our party before us when it was noticed and the rest of the party came in the host assured us all he had been calling us the whole time which was a lie . The husband and I ate dinner here last night. the waitress started out pleasant and after the table behind us loaded up with guests, became overly attentive to those guests and scarce for us. I tried a new plate for me and it was "nothing like the pic"...the meat was tough chewy and it looked like it was just thrown on the plate. It was the "Butcher's meat and potatoes" plate. 3 parties were seated before my party of 3. (Another party of 3). The older blonde lady was in her own little world and had scratched our name off her list as already being seated. When I went up to younger waitress and asked if we had gotten overlooked she was very arrogant and instead of smoothing things over she proceeds to tell me that "there's no way she would have scratched your name off without being called. You must have not been paying attention'. After she said "you're not even on the list". I've never had a problem here but Manager- please take note of that cocky and arrogant waitress. If you have kids I don't think this place is good for you. The kids meals will take about 30 minutes to come out. And this is when the restaurant is half full. I order ten minutes away and give them the make and model of my car so they can bring it out. I ordered the 2 for $25 Mac n cheese with spinach artichoke dip as the appetizer. I sit in my car and wait a few minutes then go inside. No one is there. After about 3-5 minutes a waitress comes out from the restaurant side and asks if I've been helped and I say no. She yells in the back hey your phone order is here then leaves. About 3 minutes later a girl comes up and says hi. I pay my $32 dollar bill (which included a $5 dip even though I walked inside) and waited another ten minutes for my food. I get home and the dip is frozen practically with cheese sprinkled on top and my Mac n cheese is cold and dry. How do you mess up Mac n cheese!?!?!? Not happy at all. I won't even go into the unprofessional behavior while I sat and waited. Very disappointed. read more

Decided to go out for dinner while visiting my family for the weekend. Thought about Chili's but decided to head over to Applebee's since it was closer. We got our table quick for being a Saturday night. First thing we noticed was that our table was not ready when we got to it. Two chairs were missing and the host wasn't all that worried. Then we got to order. The waitress was nice enough to allow us to order our appetizers before we order our entrees (we were doing 2 for 20). Portions were pretty small. Small metal plate with chips and artichoke. We had to get a refill. I ordered the hamburger which didn't come as I ordered, but even then, had a small portion of fries that were not fresh! The hamburger itself was pretty good. Just meat, cheese and bread. Nothing more, My nephew received a piece of bread that was suppose to be pizza! Service was okay. Not too professional, almost nervous at times! Experience was not what I was expecting. Applebee's, just step it up. Be generous, prepared, and focused. That's all. read more
