I never write short reviews EVER but my experience was a year + ago and the only thing that still holds strong in my mind was that i was deeply sickened after eating here at Applebee's. The service was great, the waiter was nice and sat me quickly, they opened the door for me, the restaurant was decently quiet and the food time was somewhat slow but the food was good. Good that is till i got home and became so sick i had to throw up what i just ate and had stomach pains till the next day. But of course whoever cooked my meal that day is either gone or is still working there. I don't know but once a place gives me under cooked food or food that is not acceptable to serve and it gets me so sick to where i waste that $ i just spend on the food to just throw it up, i won't ever be giving them a second chance and i won't be returning. read more

First things first: it's an Applebee's. The food is the same as every other Applebee's. The burgers are good, especially on Mondays (?) When they're super cheap. The happy hour after 9 is a fanatic deal and the food is pretty good for the price, especially quesadillas. It's not Daniels broiler so don't be surprised if you order a cheap steak and they serve you a cheap steak. That said, the staff here is amazing. I get the half price happy hour appetizers when I do go, and the regular waitress is amazing (Adrian I think?). The bartender is also pretty cool, dude with a buzz cut. Don't remember his name, but I saw him have to bounce someone before and he was professional but firm, and he's incredibly personable and nice. He deserves to be tending bar somewhere with better tips. Tip. Tip a lot. They deserve it, and on happy hour it's cheap enough you can afford to tip more. The staff is what makes this place better than other Applebee's, and they deserve the gratitude. read more

The food is a solid 3 but the waiters are 4.5; they make it worth it. They're willing to talk and make jokes, they don't just serve you and leave like most places. Wanted to grab lunch with a friend near his work so we decided on Applebees. Service was okay - the waitress got the order right and was cordial but you could tell that she didn't really want to be there (I guess who could blame her). We ordered a Bacon burger and Salad/soup combo which took a long time to come out for just 2 orders. Didn't taste the burger myself but my friend said it was okay. My oriental salad on the other hand was kind of sad... the leaves weren't exactly fresh and was drenched in sauce... and it was warm. The chicken tortilla soup was just okay too. Next time I'll do my research first before eating here again since there's probably better restaurant options nearby. read more

Had early dinner there 11-16-11. On their 2/20+app my wife had the steak/shrimp, I had the chicken pasta, we shared Onion rings, and she had a small Caesar salad. Very good, surprisingly good. Our waiter was a tall young guy, very pleasant, quitely attentive. The place wasn't busy so perhaps we got the benefit of that. As to the food, the side salad was quite large, very fresh, quite good. The onion rings are the best I've had in over 50 years, her steak was terrific, and my pasta was very good. So we'll be back to this one. Came here for a late night birthday dinner for a coworker. It was also my first time. I've always been skeptical about Applebee's because of some of the negative reviews, but I was excited to try it out for myself. The service towards the end of the night was good but in the beginning, not so much. When our server asked for our drink orders, my coworkers, who were over 21, ordered some margaritas and he asked how many we wanted and I said 4. I don't know if he thought I wanted one as well but when he asked to see our IDs, I was confused about why I needed to show mine since I haven't ordered anything, but I just went ahead and asked if they had Virginia drinks and he said "how about just a lemonade?" I thought that was kind of rude but I brushed it off. Next when we got our food, I ordered a steak and shrimp parmesan, steak cooked medium rare but when I got it, my steak was definitely well done. If it was any other time I wouldn't have cared so much, but I just wanted to see how our server would react to me sending back my steak. The way our server handled the situation wasn't as pleasant, but the manager was great. He apologized multiple times and kept checking in. Over all, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I don't think it would be the first place I'd choose to go to for a meal. read more

Say what you want about this chain, but they are always involved and excited to help you out. We dropped a group of 20-30 on them because Bellevue Brewery was booked by MS. Came here late one night for some snacks. Their food was average. 1/2 off happy hour appetizers was a good deal. We had pot stickers, boneless buffalo wings, spinach and artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks. The artichoke dip was too chunky for my liking. The other food was okay but service was slow. I would only ever come here for happy hour. That being said I love the sliders. They serve it on great bread and fries. If you don't like fresh onions then be sure to order no onions because they pile it on. I suggest adding the bacon. read more

The bartendars are awesome at this location. Super friendly and not weird friendly like they're trying to hit on you. A lot of locals at this location so it really is like an episode of Cheers sometimes. But this is definitely an experience I haven't had at all Applebee's. I should have known better when I walked in and all the people at the tables were under 20. I've been to Applebees before but it was never as distracting as this one. The people near our seat talked so loud and were distruptive the whole time. Our waiter didn't come for a really long time and forgot to even set out water for us. We finally ordered our food and when I got my order it was wrong. After asking for the correct plate he quickly grabbed the manager who came to appologize and bring the right order. I would be really ticked off if the poor guy wasn't practically in high school and overwhelmed with all the other tables around us. At that point I chose to take pity on him and tip him well and thank him for the time. I will be back to applebees, but never to this one again. Am I the only person who thinks there's nothing wrong with Applebees? The drinks were strong, the food was fine, and they have a lot of tasty, healthy options (including steaks) under 550 calories. Good luck finding low calorie options that aren't vegetarian/vegan from local restaurants - chains tend to do well with that kind of thing. My steak was far from the best I've ever had, but it was good enough for the price that I paid. Service was good too. I'd definitely come back for a happy hour or lunch. It isn't Daniels Broiler but at the same time it's definitely better than Denny's so I don't understand the flak they're getting in many of the reviews here. read more

Had an incredible experience at this apple bees! There was a little kitchen trouble that caused us to get our food late but the waitressing management was really helpful and apologetic! A manager finished waitressing our table and he was so friendly and assisted us to the best of his ability. He also treated us to free desert to apologize for the kitchen mistake. Food is a hit or miss - sometimes good and sometimes not. Same as the service here. The Happy Hour specials they advertise on-line for drinks was not honored today when I was there at 3:00 pm. I got a margarita that I was charged $7 for, but on-line the Happy Hour price for this same margarita is listed as $5. When I brought it to the waitress and manager's attention, they wouldn't budge. The manager said "it must be another franchise". The drink and food was fine, but I can get a better deal in downtown Bellevue than I did at Applebee's. read more

Go here once in a while after work with my wife. Usually only order appetizers because they're enough to fill us up and they have great happy hour prices. The place is a lot nicer since they re-modeled the bar area and the employees are always good to us. We must miss the evening rush, we get there around 5:00 and the place is usually half full at most, get our food fairly quickly. It's basic Applebee's food and I'm not ashamed to say I love it, as unhealthy as it is it tastes really good. read more

This place is great! The service is always fast, friendly, and the servers as well as the managers really care about good service. We love coming here, the tacos are delicious! This is my go to late nite eatery. Usually good, but last nite I ordered a burger and fries. Was asked how if I wanted the patty done or pink. I said "done for sure". Got home and it was more pink than done... Fries were old and uneatable... Can't use the excuse they were busy, it definitely was not.. also I only live 5 blocks away so the excuse of 'It was to go and fries get cold" will not fly either... Bad nite for them?? Epic, I had the best time at Applebee's with my fiance tonight. My server Shawn was attentive and recognized me from my first visit. He was chearful and had many fine suggestions for our supper. The food was just as good as the first time. Furthermore, the manager Andrew dropped off our food. After asking if I would like another beer he offered me (A newcomer to the state of Washington, having moved far from home for work) a small flight of the local color in samples, on the house! Very cool, very charming! Needless to say I have a new favorite brew (Mac&Jack) and a new favorite place to drink it. Hats off to the Applebee's on 140th and bell red. I don't know about the other Applebee's but for a proper made cocktail ( i love a proper Rye Manhattan straight up" or their "Perfect Margarita" ) nobody can beat their bartender on friday night Ya Weh. A couple of drinks with an order of their Asian ribs and some hamburger egg rolls you and your significant other have the start of a great evening to build on. Along with this they have several great beers on draft including Mac and Jack and Stella. Great service, excellent food and the best mixed cocktails and you don't need to hock your car when you get the bill. read more

The waitress we had was horrible. We order food for our staff and one of them ordered a steak and did not get the steak until almost everyone was done eating. Also while one of us was still eating they asked if they could take the plate because at this time we had already been there for 2 hrs which was not by choice. Another server was able to help us so they got the tip instead of the server we had. I would say stay away!!! read more

I was very surprised at how dirty this restaurant was for such a high end location. Not the level I am used to. It was obvious the management is not taking care of the premises. Windows had not been cleaned in forever. The floors were dirty as well. The wall behind the reception counter was disgusting, it looked like a rag with grease had wiped it down. A long table near us was not cleared from before we sat down and the same when we left. The bathroom was generally clean but the trash can was overflowing to the floor. I am a Pharmaceutical Rep who has used this location for work and personal. I recently called in an order for over 50 people with pickup less than a hour a half. I was shocked that they said they could pull it off. Staff was helpful, friendly, great customer service, and the spread was AMAZING. The food was fresh, many complimented on the taste and couldn't get enough of the veggie burgers and wraps. I was shocked that they could do that spread with such a short amount of time and it came out looking nothing other than 5 stars. I received a call when it was ready and two staff members helped me to the car with the five boxes. Today I found myself with another physician lunch with over 50 people in attendance. I have to be there by 10:45 AM. I went back to this location to ask if they could do the same spread with a pick up at 10:30 (doors don't open until 11:00). The Manager was amazing and said 'no problem, we will bring in two cooks early tomorrow' and jotted down what I needed. I feel confident that Applebee's will again, make it happen. This is an amazing restaurant that is customer focused, un-chain like taste, and as I have learned will do amazing things for their customers I will be back personally for dinner and bring all of my business for work here. I'll be brief. They cannot get a basic breakfast right. Eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes, white toast. Out of 44 times the complete order was correctly maybe 6 times. Cannot cook the eggs correctly. Incorrect items on the plate that had to be returned (regardless of it being clear on the menu what should be on the plate). Also, went there last evening for the 2 for 11.99. The steak was grisly (however when it was too rare, they quickly took it back and fixed it) which has happened before. Great hot chocolate though! read more
