This restaurant earned our 5-Stars Review this evening! Server Olivia M. was very attentive and made sure my husband's bacon cheese burger and fries were delivered hot, tasty and made exactly to order. My French onion soup was also great, as was my queso meat cheese dip and chips appetizer! It was welcoming, too, that General Manager JR made time to stop by our table to check on us and chat a couple of minutes. Plus, prices were very reasonable; and, the upbeat music-filled atmosphere was quiet enough that we could enjoy a lively conversation. My father and I ate here recently and we both were underwhelmed. In fact, my dad said flat out he would not eat there again. The food was just that aweful. Our appetizer was a chicken quesadilla and my father could barely stomach one slice of it. I practically ate the rest of it myself and it was just fair (not mouth-watering delicious, but not disgusting either). I ordered an entree that consisted of a trio of samplers: chips w/ artichoke dip, fried shrimp, and a steak quesadilla. The steak quesadilla was worse than the appetizer, and the pieces of steak in it were too big. I dunno what the heck they did to the fried shrimp: it was coated w/ some sort of sauce that tasted horrible. I'f I had known the fried shrimp would be dipped in some weird sauce I would not have ordered it. The artichoke dip was the only edible thing on that plate. My father ordered a cheeseburger and fries and didn't finish the burger. We both are in agreement that the food sucked terribly. And it was a bit expensive; at least our waiter was good. read more

Worst Restaurant in Corpus Christi. Went on three different occasions in a span of 1 year. 1st time, For a group of four people it took 1 hour to be seated, then food came out another hour later. 2nd time, (about 2 months after the first) Another long wait for four to be seated even though it was early and not busy. Once finally seated no waiter/waitress to came to take any drink orders. After about 20 minutes we left. 3rd time. (about 10 months after the second) I thought this time may be better and thought maybe the other times they must have been understaffed. We came here for my sisters birthday and had a party of 9. Told us it would be 30 minutes, it took an hour until we got seated and still sat apart. Food took another hour to get to our table, when it came out my food was cold, my husbands was missing the main sauce they advertised on menu(which waitress tell us they ran out of after the fact) two of my sisters plates were missing and didnt arrive at our table for another 15 minutes. Myself and my son had nausea soon after. The whole experience was terrible, not a manager in sight. After having not one but 3 terrible experiences here, I will not be coming back ever again. read more

Our actual food was ok. The food was really slow coming out and we had 3 hungry preschoolers with us so it turned into a crazy mess. First our server took my order down wrong as 4-cheese chicken macaroni and cheese instead of a 4 cheese sandwich. He got that fixed but it was wrong on our check and charged me $1 more. Then he argued about the menu and went to look for himself. When he charged our cards he gave me my friend's check with my card and we both just looked at each other in terror before checking which card had been charged for which lunch. This place is the worst Applebees I've ever seen. Tables were left un-bussed for 45 minutes, including bar places. We were put on a waiting list for a bar table when there were four empty seats and three tables waiting to be bussed. After being seated we ordered beer and boneless wings. Beer was cold and the staff was friendly. Wings? They were given to the people next to us, then, after they had them for 3-5 minutes, they realized it wasn't their order. Instead of a fresh order, the staff wanted us to take our cold order of wings into which they had poked with their forks. The other couple next to us was served a rancid steak. The silverware was dirty. The bar glasses were awful. A lady at the bar had to coach the bartender on making a simple Jager shot. It was indescribably bad. You don't go to Applebee's to have a great meal. You go to have cheap food and cheap beer, neither of which will make you sick. At this one though, you're taking your chances. read more

We stopped here because we have eaten at other location. I will rate the food 2 stars they seemed to have a smaller menus than other Applebee so. We both ordered our food and unsweet teas Food was slow getting out of kitchen for number of diners we ran out of tea before we finished our meal could get refills as waitress was busy. We had been finished for awhile when waitress showed up with check. I told her to bring us 2 Togo teas when she brought the teas she had charged us 129 for each we had already paid 248 each for tea with our meal. I spoke to manager and he said the franchise owners policy was to charge for to go Drinks! I told him I had never heard of such a thing and that if his staff would have done their job we would have had to order to go drinks! Our family of four had dinner here and enjoyed it all. The service could have been better. No huge missteps but several annoying ones. But the food was all good: burgers for the kids and ribs and a cowboy burger for the adults. The $2.99 beer was a bargain but the margarita at that price was pretty bad. What are we talking about here? You know the brand, you know the food. You are either loyal or not, but certainly you know what to expect. A chain restaurant is built on consistency and the menu certainly is consistent, but what makes a chain restaurant stand out is the server who goes above and beyond to make the experience special. Luckily for us, we crossed paths with such a server (Steven). Our original server was running late, so Steven had to cover our section. While we didn't really wait too long at all, he was very apologetic and took full responsibility and accountability for our table. In the end, the food was good but not mind-blowing (as expected for a chain restaurant). What made the difference was that Steven provides great service and is an asset to this location. Keep in mind, as a family, we actually prefer the food of their direct competitor, but the service today made us think twice. read more

Wow, probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant in this town. Server was extremely slow and failed to get the order right, drink refills as requested, and returned to take payment. At the time of visit the restaurant was not very busy but the server seemed extremely overwhelmed and or inexperienced. Summary of wait time : arrived 7 - 8 minutes till server took drink and appetizer order, 7 to 8 minutes until server returned with both drink water and hot appetizer, 25 to 30 minutes until manager arrived with entree order with multiple errors in order, and after reciving check waited 15 to 20 minutes until a different person picked up the credit card to close out ticket. Overall stay was one and a half hours and I assure you it was not busy at all. Very unlikely to return to this location. read more

Our family went there 8/20/2016 it was our daughters 17th birthday. We needed seating for 7. But they couldn't put the available tables together so they seated us at two different tables which was fine. It was unusual that they weren't packed as we've eaten there in the past. We got out drinks and also ordered appetizers. After longer than 4O minutes the appetizer which was chips and spinach artichoke dip arrived the chips must have came right out of the fryer because they were covered in grease and nasty looking. I'm thinking I can't allow my family to eat this. So,we decided it was time to leave. After I spoke my mind to the manager,who didn't even apologize for anything,we left. If I could give this place zeros stars I would. I had ordered carside to go, had to wait 20 minutes after my pickup time and someone didn't even come out to bring me my food I had to go in. Our food was cold and completely wrong. I called the to speak to the manager and he offered me another meal. We ordered the same meal again. 30 minutes of waiting past our pick up time this time and the order was wrong again. By far . . . the worst service for a national restaurant chain we've ever encountered. The food quality is not bad, but the service at this restaurant is consistently worse than just bad. This restaurant has a revolving door of new employees, each worse than the last. It is amazing bad. We've given them many, many chances, but no more. The last experience involved 5 of us. All of the food arrived late, as usual. But only 3 of us received our orders. The fourth arrived about 5 minutes later. Mine never did until the 5th complaint. Overpriced, overrated and overdone. Applebee's being a chain place does little to disguise the fact that 95% of their menu is processed, prepackaged fare the likes of which you can find in the frozen food section at any grocery store. If I wasn't there with a gift card that I received from a Secret Santa holiday gift exchange at the office I would have never gone there. Service was slow, impersonal, and our waiter carried himself like he was there out of a sense of obligation rather than eager to please. Manager never visited our table, people who were seated after us received their orders before we did, furthermore they weren't even that busy. Honestly, if you are even thinking about trying Applebees out of curiosity just head to HEB and pick out a Hungry Man dinner instead. Veterans Day, understand their busy. Name was on list and they by passed us and cruising down the list until we brought to their attention and was quickly resolved. We ordered off the menu and appetizer was easy, chips and queso that we did not recieve, after 45 mins the waitress finally came to check on us and said she will check on our food, needless to say at that point we cancelled the chips, must have been to hard to put together. We ordered for pick up. We were Very disappointed. My co worker ordered steam broccoli. She received 3 pcs of broccoli and paid almost $3. The vegetable salads were old. We ended up throwing them away. The steaks were tough and dry. The mashed sweet potatoes and garlic green beans were put together in the same container. This is sad. This place was so disgusting.. I have enjoyed this restaurant for many years but had not been there in quite a while. Saw the commercial about the burgers and they looked amazing. So my daughter and I were very excited to go. We were seated retry quick, waited about 10 mins for our waitress. Placed our order right away, waited 10 more minutes for our drinks. After 27 mins our food came out but not before I had to use the restroom..I almost threw up upon getting close to the restroom. There was a foul odor that smelt like wet sour carpet between the kitchen area and the restroom. But not before I came face to face with the " manager" in charge. He had the worst smell about him, his hair was greasy and he gave me the CREEPS !! Now I am not a picky person or a picky eater but after that when our food FINALLY arrived, my onion rings were cooked in oil older than me. The table sitting beside us commented on the smell as well and when they saw my onion rings they were like , oh HELL NO !!DO NOT bring us food that looks like that !! We took a few bites , paid the tab at the table and tipped the waitress 20%. It wasn't her fault but NEVER EVER AGAIN will I give any of my hard earned money to this disgusting place !! read more
