Came back to vist this location once again and it was quite a busy lunch it seemed but i was luckily served by Alexis who had a great smile the entire time and was so sweet and constantly checking up on me and taking any empty plates or trash out of my way! My wife and I went to this location because it's close to home and we had a gift card. This last visit was cool, although our server seemed to let our drinks go a little long empty the food was as expected. I enjoyed the laid back ambiance that was present, maybe this was due to it being lunch time, I've never been here say around happy hour. Kayla was our waitress and she was super friendly, fast, helpful and very cheerful! Our first time at this Applebee's location and WOW the service was AMAZING! Indira was our server and she was fantastic. She was so friendly and always had a smile on her face. She checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Her manager Concha was great. I think they were short staffed and busy as it was happy hour. When we arrived there wasn't a hostess and we waited a while to be seated. Once they saw us they took care of us and were so friendly about it that it was no problem at all. My husband and I came in today for lunch. I have never had such a difficult time getting a drink. Very rarely are we carded. We are clearly not 21 but nonetheless it was extremely annoying. I didn't have my DL on me. Had a photo of it front & back as well as my temporary DL from the DMV...the lady would not accept it. I finally found my passport and was finally able to get a drink. I don't know why she needed to look at it as long as she did but she also asked about the expirations on passports. Not sure if she was just making small talk or joking but I'm like dude it's not expired. It says 2024. Like damn! What is the deal?! I took my family here last night (Halloween) after trick or treating! We had the best service ever! We had Blythe as our server. She was festive and dressed up as cat! Came here for the second time, had their apple cake for dessert and got a mouthful of some sort of chemical. Tasted like a rancid, strong soap. I've never had bleach in my mouth but it's what I imagine bleach would taste like. No idea how it happened, the manager Amanda explained that they use a peroxide based sanitizer on their dishes and that it dries before they use the dishes again but they were seemingly intent on dodging any liability regardless. They said the issue was likely "from the factory" (as they put it) Apparently another table ordered the same dessert right before us and had no issue. We had our bill taken care of by the restaurant and received a $10 off coupon as compensation. My throat still burns. This restaurant normally has good food and the bartender Chuck provides solid service. Unfortunately after an incident like this, it's hard to see myself returning. Although being told "it's probably someone else's fault" and getting a $10 coupon isn't the most satisfactory response, I feel that there's probably no way to sufficiently compensate for an incident like this while remaining realistic so I somewhat understand their position. Be careful out there, if you order apple cake, poke at it a little before taking a bite. read more

While Chili's is definitely our go-to, I would say that Applebee's isn't a bad second choice. Wifey and I have been to this location twice and we've had pretty decent experiences both at the bar and not.,. Their happy hour is comparable to TGIF and Chili's and they have good drink and appetizer specials... the margarita I ordered gave me a good buzz towards the end of our meal which was surprisingly pleasant. Their "Dollarita" promo sounds like a great deal, but I don't know that I would get too hot over it as I would guess it's really watered down. This place is a little out of the way for us, but hopefully we can make it back soon to try and see if the third time is a charm. read more

There so many places to eat and honestly my hubby made a great decision we are not from the area and let me tell y'all this Apple bee went above and beyond I had ask for a steak when they brought it out everything looked and smelled so good there was one little issue it was a bit salty and dry, Anna the manager noticed I had ate everything but the steak and ask if she could remake it for me. I was okay with her not remaking because I'm not the type to give complain about anything I just know to not reorder something I don't like. We hadn't been here in a while as we usually found the food as merely ok. But, I saw an article that said they offered senior discounts. With today's prices, we figured why not give them another try. MISTAKE. The boneless chicken wings had no flavor and the shrimp was soggy. The riblets would have been ok if they had not been cold. The cole slaw was good but the cup is soooo small you can hardly get your fork in it. We had to keep begging for napkins. We finally got a runner to give us a couple. The fries were the only thing good and bountiful - could drive through McDonald's for tha!! To top it all off, the server had no clue about any senior discount. We will not be back. We came in for dinner and after a very short wait to be seated, we were greeted by Shane and that's where it all began. He was prompt, friendly and attentive - as are most servers BUT he just has this positivity and great vibe that truly leaves a positive impression on those lucky enough to experience his service. This review won't do it justice I know, but I can say after having a pretty rough week at work, our time dining here and our interactions with him made a difference that impacted the rest of my night. Just the combination of his professionalism, courtesy, attentiveness and again POSITIVE happy attitude was more than noticed.... It was appreciated! Went to this Applebee's on Madison in Murrieta. As per my previous review the service was very slow. We arrived at the restaurant for a late lunch at around 2.50 pm. We were shown to our both almost immediately. The Waitress was very pleasant and she took our drinks order, which was filled extremely fast. She said " I'll be right back " to take our lunch order. At 3.10 we paid our $3.14 for our drinks and left. The waitress had passed our table twice in that time. Each she said " I'll be right there" . I could understand if the restaurant was busy, but there were only about 4 or 5 tables occupied. There was also at least three waitstaff walking about. They really have to do something about the slow service, anyway, I doubt if we'll be returning as this problem seems be inherent at this restaurant. Being pleasant does not alleviate the slow service. Two Stars for quality of food. read more

Worst ribeye I've ever had. Looks like the cook decided to boil the ribeye and then try to sear it. Then the worst part was my side of double broccoli tasted like someone decided to douse it with so much salt it wasn't even edible. My servers suggestion was to add butter seriously. Don't waste your time coming here! The atmosphere could have been more pleasant and the workers were very unfriendly didn't seem happy to be working there. The food sucked! My rib eye steak was waaaaay over-cooked and mostly fatty. The loaded mashed potatoes I got paired with the steak was basically a glob of sour cream spread over a tiny serving of potatoes. The temperature of my food could of been warmer. Applebees quality of food has gone way down over the years. You've been better off getting yourself one of those frozen meals in the grocery store than coming here to eat. I don't recommend this place. Very unsatisfied customer. read more
