Overpriced repair quote and the repair person misrepresented himself as someone from another repair company because "his English isn't so good". Tried resolving this issue with the main office and they didn't want to hear what I had to say. I would give minus 2 stars if possible No I did not confuse the tech with another company, when I asked If he was with ----, he said yes. That company was charging less for the initial visit. I asked him multiple times who he worked for and if he worked for both companies because he kept mumbling. So imagine my surprise when the invoice said a different company then who I thought I was dealing with!! *update* Thank you for refunding 1/2 of my service call fee. Due to PG&E's transformer blowing up, I had to get my appliances electronics replaced. Fortunately Appliance 911 were able to look at our appliances and ordered the parts. Our dishwasher stopped running and the drain light came on. I cleaned the drain but it still wouldn't run. I looked at yelp and found Appliance 911. Our fridge stopped working, kind of an emergency. They were the first company to get back to us and were able to come to our house same day. Yeah! Score! Guy comes out, no joke spends 5 minutes looking at it and says that he won't work on it. Won't even try to fix it. The biggest bummer is the opportunity cost in that we could have had someone out who could actually make an effort to repair it, but instead we burned the whole day on this company who literally did nothing to help. Appliance 911 was fantastic! The office promptly returned my call within 15 minutes and the technician was able to come out to my home the next morning. Our dryer was suddenly emitting a strong electrical burning smell days before leaving town for a few weeks. We had loads of laundry to do so needed the unit fixed ASAP. I originally purchased the unit with an extended warranty but upon trying to schedule a warranty repair I was warned that lint cleaning wouldn't be covered. They were going to send a company out to look but warned me I'd have to pay if it wasn't warranty work. The company they contracted with had horrible reviews on Yelp, so I decided to forget about the warranty and find someone that could give my unit a thorough cleaning and diagnose the issue fast. I found Vlad and was pleased with his positive reviews and distance to my home. He scheduled me for an 8-11am window but said he would call when he was 15 minutes out so I wouldn't have to wait around. As promised technician called that morning at 7:45 am to say he was on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter and immediately got to work. He took the entire unit apart as promised and showed me exactly where the burning was coming from and the lint that was causing it near the open gas flame. He cleaned all the lint out (and it was everywhere!) and put the machine back together again as good as new. He also detected that the duct from the machine to the wall had become badly caved in because the washer had been pushed too far back against it. He said the air passage was severely blocked and therefore the lint was building up in my machine. He had a new, much higher quality duct replacement in his vehicle and replaced it immediately. The part installed originally was very cheap and bent easily, closing the passageway for the lint to travel outside if needed. The part technician had on hand was reinforced to help prevent denting. I was worried I was going to have to give my dryer a thorough cleaning annually, but technician reassured me that with the new duct and keeping the machines where he placed them, I shouldn't have any trouble at all. He was even nice enough to clean out my dishwasher filter, as he was reviewing with me which appliances require any type of routine maintenance. I would recommend Appliance 911 to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, professional appliance repair company. read more

Punctual , professional, reliable , honest and no surprises. When vlad came out to troubleshoot the estimated repair for my 9 year old fridge , he didn't just look up in the air and made up a number. The estimate for repair was from a electrical appliance blue book guide, which I even took a look at it to make sure the repair cost was fair and not inflated. Having to research online as well, cost of repair was reasonable. Although I have to say, appliance 911 did give a competitive rate which was slightly better than listed either online or in a guide. What I appreciated was that Vlad was able to explain to me exactly the reason why the freezer section wasn't functioning properly and what he needed to repair to get it back to normal. He immediately went to work doing diagnostics and show me the problem, which is a leak in my refrigerant.
