First , they require you to be home the entire day for an appointment . No times or windows. I had my washing machine checked for odor and locating the front drainage tube ( which had just been pushed in ) . I was told I needed a new drainage pump to fix odor. My machine had NEVER not drained so I questioned it. The tech made it not drain by starting and stopping multiple cycles mI'd cycle . I expressed doubt that I needed a new drain still b/c I watched how he made it flood. He insisted that the pump was slow And that that was cussing the odor. The service call was $135 and would be $269 more to return and install new drain pump . Finally they convinced me by telling me the new pump was covered under warranty for a year and that if the issue was not fixed then they would return . He explained stagnant water was accumulating in machine that I could not see. I repeatedly asked if it did not work would they be back and was told yes . The smell was not fixed and now my washer does not drain properly either ! I told them immediately and said I was leaving for a few weeks and would call back when I returned if the issues persisted. Now they want $135 more to come check why it is not draining . IF they determine it is the pump then they will replace that Under warranty BUT I have to pay to have them to check . Each tine I call I have to explain the whole thing again. It is a nightmare . My machine worked fine before . Advice : just buy a new machine . they will charge you the price of a new machine and are just guessing what might be the problem and / or making it worse . Bad experience all around: The appointment setter was robotic and curt (like she needed to fill all the legal blanks); kept repeating herself... The young man sent out to view my refrigerator was unqualified. (I won't mention his bed-head or halitosis that was so bad I smelled it as I opened the door.) He apparently knew very little about appliances. His job - by my observation - was to take pictures and to call his boss to ask what was wrong. After his call he spoke gibberish about the electronic characteristics; then left. The next day I was provided a quote of $ 550 (ish) and told it would take two days to get the part. Unfortunately I am leasing a house or normally I do my own repairs. Appliance connection was chosen by the leasing company. I realize you cannot set an exact time but at least the office could call and say Hey we're looking at about this time . So they show up for 445pm for 2 o'clock appointment , spend 10 minutes clearing the drain, then drag dirty water through the hardwood floors of the house out the front door. TL:DR They charged us $100 dollars for a missed appointment because the technician did not call me AS INSTRUCTED when they arrived. I called to explain the situation and try to get them to waive the fee. They refused. Give your business to another appliance repair company! Here was my situation: My refrigerator / ice maker was leaking water into the bottom of my freezer causing a sheet of ice to form over time. Eventually, the ice sheet would build up and water was dumping onto my kitchen floor. A ticket was opened with Appliance Connection to repair the refrigerator. They told me to empty out my refrigerator and unplug it for 24 hours. This was in the middle of Covid 19 lockdown. Our refrigerator and freezer were completely stocked because we were working from home and not going anywhere due to the pandemic. So, we bought ice and put half of our stuff in ice chests and the rest of the food we gave to friends. An appointment date is set. You know how it is, they give you an enormous time window. For context, I work in sales. I close my home office door because my roommate is also working from home. I'm on the phone talking to prospects. My cell phone was in front of me for the entire time window. So, I tell the dispatcher, "I'm working from home. Please have the technician text or call me when they arrive at my house." So, the day of the appointment, the technician calls me. At 11:29, they tell me they will be there in 30 minutes. 30 minutes go by...I hear nothing. They don't call or text. At 12:02, I walk out to my front door. A note was on the door: " Appliance Connection 7/16 11:45 AM We came by after our conversation. Knocked 3 times no answer. " I called the number back. No answer. I called repeatly at 12:06 PM, 12:07 PM, and 1:16 PM. No answer to any of my calls. I called Appliance Connection. The dispatcher told me the technician knocked and no one answered. I told the dispatcher: "I was in a call, and had asked the technician to call or text me when they arrived." I TOLD THE TECHNICIAN TO CALL OR TEXT ME. The technician knocked on the door and left a note. My roommate called to schedule another appointment, they said they couldn't come back until next week. I had to raise hell to get them to send a technician to my house the next day to fix my refrigerator, and to their credit, they did. Nevertheless, they charged us $100 for the "missed appointment" and they refused to waive the "missed appointment" fee. I used to be the Assistant General Manager / Bookkeeper at Stewart's Aire Serv in Shreveport, LA. When I helped run an HVAC service department, do you know how many "missed appointment" fees I waived because it was the technician's fault? A ton. I wrote off a ton of ~$100 "appointment fees". Do you want to know why? I valued my customers. Appliance Connection's refusal to waive the fee is proof of how much they value their customers. If they are unwilling to waive an appointment fee, can you imagine what would happen if you actually had a serious problem? Appliance Connection's accounting, service department, and management are completely unprofessional. They don't care about their customers and you must give them hell to get anything done. The delivery guys threw all my appliances into my laundry room and ran off as my husband was trying to talk to them. Even though we paid for installation, they never returned to do the install. We have contacted the delivery company and Appliance connection. Promises were made, to return and install, but to this date we have yet to be scheduled. I placed an order with this company back in the beginning of December for a stove cooktop appliance. Originally I was advised the shipping time frame would be 4-6 weeks. I accepted that. After checking on the order numerous times I was told the same thing. After that time frame someone finally told me it would be June or July before it could be received. I then cancelled the order as we are in a home remodel and need it before then. I ordered one that was in stock and was told it would be shipped out the next Monday. So they don't have Saturday hours anymore and only take appointments in my area from 9am - 2pm M-F??? What the hell? Work be damned I guess. Steven with appliance connection is the rudest person I could have encountered. I was supposed to have my refrigerator delivered before noon today and they didn't show up until 6:10 PM. I wasted my whole day sitting at home after calling out of work and being late to pick up my child from childcare due to their inconsistencies. They called me at 5:40 PM to tell me that they would be there at 6:30 that I had to be there or they wouldn't deliver my fridge and I would get charged a service fee after they were supposed to be there six hours prior. I told him I was on my way to pick up the kids and we would be there about the same time. I said OK I would be there by then and he was fine with that. He then called me back two minutes later and told me his GPS updated and he was 10 minutes out but I was already on my way to get the kids and he told me I would have to reschedule for another day although they are the ones that are late and when he showed up he screamed in my face three times and sent his partner upstairs to deal with the fridge I have it on video and if I didn't send it to the sheriffs office first I would have posted it here. read more

Though the young technician was great and spent time explaining and troubleshooting, the total customer service experience was horrid. First I was told it was a $65 service call that would be applied to any repair job. Then, I offered to give them my dryer model number as it was an old model. They said the technician would call it in to them for any parts. That should have been my first clue. Why wouldn't you check to see if parts are still available? They just wanted the service call! He even helped me save money by telling me what better brands to buy. His daughter ran the phone, etc. I've called them a couple of times over the years and have been increasingly dissatisfied. I had a great experience with these guys, and was able to make an appt via email which was very convenient. Even after I gave them the incorrect phone number to call beforehand, they still came by. They gave me an honest assessment of the problem and was actually able to fix another issue since the first issue couldn't be resolved. They were quick and very professional. The time slot was pretty large, but they were able to work with me and give me a 25 min call beforehand (had I given them the correct number), so that I could make it home from work in time. Came to fix my dishwasher and said I need a new keyboard in. That did not work. I called the next day and said they would send someone out. He took another look at the dishwasher and said he needed to do some more research on it. After a few days, they did not get back to me. I had to call them to see what was going on. I had to make another appointment which I scheduled for Friday. I took off work and no one showed on that Friday. I called on Monday to see Why they didn't show up and they said they recommend me getting a new dishwasher and not fixing it. Do not let the delivery person leave your house until installation is confirmed and appliance is working. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I give ZERO stars. I had a dishwasher delivered to me broken. Upon delivery, I was instructed by the delivery person to inspect the dishwasher for scratches and dents. All was fine, they left. The dishwasher is not supplied with electrical or connecting hoses. The next day husband was looking at the machine to determine the hose connection and electrical requirements so we could be prepared for our professional installer. That is when we noticed that it was broken. A huge pump or engine was hanging off the bottom and clearly cracked. We called Appliance connection immediately and were told that we needed to contact the manufacture as it was a warrantee problem. WE HAD NOT EVEN INSTALLED IT. They said that I signed the delivery inspection therefor they are not responsible. Luckily I paid with American Express and they are helping me. Whirlpool has tried to be helpful as well, but it is infuriating to have to sit home for A 5 hour window waiting for a repair on a machine that could not be installed.
