I asked if he wanted to hear the sound. He did not. I left him to it. 35 or so minutes later, he said that he cleaned debris from the pumps, showed me a shard of glass, and when I listened to it running for a few seconds, the sound seemed to be gone. Great. Then he said it would be $245, his minimum labor charge. That sounded rather steep to me. He lowered it to $220 (after pretending to text a boss, which I don't think he has), but that was still more than I felt was fair for the work he did. The next time I ran a load of dishes the sound was there again. I emailed him, attaching a short video of the noise happening, and he wrote that he would come by to check it out. I asked for times that would work for him, and at that point he stopped replying. After that, I asked for a partial refund. Again, no response. I feel a bit ripped off, paying $220 when the problem wasn't even resolved. So, no, I cannot recommend Davyd/PDX Repair. I suggest looking for a more honorable, experienced appliance repair person, as I will the next time I need one.

We tried a bunch of places and no one could come until Friday at the earliest (it was a Monday). We called AA Appliance Repair around 1:30 PM, and Abdul was here by 3 PM. He quickly figured out the issue, got everything back up and running, and even showed me how to reset the fridge for the future. Total cost was $180. May seem a little steep for just a reset but for us... it was completely reasonable for the speed and service. Abdul saved the day and taught me a thing or two about my fridge.
