I caution anyone who thinks about using this business. Years ago, I had a problem with my Samsung dryer and used this company. They were great. Fixed my dryer quickly with no problems. My Samsung washer is now not spinning good so I decided to use them again since the first time 7 or 8 years ago. The repairman was at my home 4 times with incorrect parts. He kept blaming the business that he picked it up from. 4 times with a wrong part.! The first three times the part was a small electric piece with 2 wires and the 4th time a large box with the housing that has magnets attached. I asked him why he didn't know the difference in part sizes. He just kept blaming the parts vendor. It is very obvious to me he did not know what he was doing. I called two different numbers on the receipt trying to reach the owner or manager. One number is just a voicemail and the other number is the repairman answering "hello" not the business name greeting. There were so many red flags but since he had half of the money in cash ( to avoid the 5.5% cc fee) I felt I was stuck with this repairman. After having an ugly conversation (ugly from me) he returned my 250.00 cash. He wanted to put my washer back together but I refused. Did not want someone that didn't know what he was doing to do anything else to my appliance. I'm very lucky to get my cash back. This is the most unprofessional repair business I have ever dealt with. So very frustrating and disappointing. I have wasted over a week with this nonsense. Terrible experience. read more

Timer on washing machine was replace. Cost of part and labor totaled $$387. First time washer was used after repai, timer did not work. part was warranted for 30 days. When repairman returned to replace defective timer, I was charged $185 labor again. I should not have been charged again for labor when replacement part was defective. Do not do business with this company. read more

Paid $80 service charge that was supposed to go towards repair. A few days later, no part ordered and was told to try to reach manufacturer for part. They wouldn't help me get in touch with manufacturer either... Now I'm out $80 paid to them plus I have to basically start over and pay manufacturer even more $$ for their service trip charge! I have used this company for many years. It started out with Mike and the company has grown because of their reasonable rates and honest work. They have worked on my washers and dryers and refrigerators. Most recently, my the ice in my icemaker (Electrolux fridge) was melting and eventually stopped making ice. It turned out that the little door to dispense the ice was not closing. The part was ordered and the door was replaced. While I waited for the part, I noticed that no new ice was being made even with the door closed and not being used. The fridge had frozen up bc of the little opened door. The part was replaced and the technician recommended defrosting the fridge before he tried to replace the whole ice maker. It worked. We now have ice again, not only in our fridge ice maker, but in the second ice maker in the bottom freezer. I'm surprised to hear others negative reviews. I've never had them not be able to fix something and take the money. Do you have the right repair service? read more

I can't really comment on their service or repairs but I can comment that they have bad time management!! I called on Sunday and they told me somebody would call me on Monday which they did and they scheduled the service for Tuesday.. Tuesday he calls me and tells me he cannot come until after a certain time which we won't be available so we reschedule for Wednesday... Wednesday he calls me and tells me he's gonna be here around this time... The time comes and goes and I called him and he tells me he's about 45 minutes out and I tell him I cannot wait that long I have things to do.. literally we waited all day Wednesday for him to come!! Ridiculous he did try to reschedule for later on in the week but we do have lives!! read more

Awesome service!! After calling Samsung for my barely 1 year old top of the line washer and dryer and then telling me it is not covered under warranty after year.....it would be $250 to send out their service advisors and my responsibility to cover the cost I about died! So I googled and found this company after a couple of other calls. I called and the very sweet lady said she would have Mike call me and answer any of my questions. I called Appliance Home Service to see about getting my ice maker fixed and my washer and dryer hooked up. I was quoted a $65 service charge over the phone. When the guy came out to give me an estimate he was trying to tack on additional things that I didn't need. Decided he wanted way too much to fix the ice maker that I can fix myself but agreed to the washer and dryer hookup. When it came time to pay he tried to tack on an additional $32.50. He said it's a $65 service fee for one appliance each appliance after that has an additional service charge. I said no that's not what I was told over the phone. It was clear he took one look at my house and decided to raise his rates. That makes me mad. Needless to say I didn't pay the additional $32.50. read more

My first time using them was when I was renting from my landlord. A technician named Jerry came out to fix my ice maker. He was very polite and did a great job. I recently bought the unit and now need repairs done on my dishwasher. The lady I spoke with to set up an appointment was extremely nice and very helpful. Wonderful & professional. I filled out an online request for a service call. Received a call back within minutes. Shortly after, I received a call from the repairman who was nearby. He was able to fix my washing machine on the spot. Didn't take him long at all. Such a relief to find a professional, honest & fair company to come fix this for us. I had a negative experience with AHS. The tech was young and inexperienced. When I told him that my freezer was making clicking sounds, he said "can you record it for me?" NO!!! Here is a better idea, he should open up the back of my freezer and look at it! I paid $65 for nothing! The guy did not open up the back of my freezer to look at it. The drain pump on our 6 year old GE washer failed on the weekend. We contacted Mike via the office on Monday and everything was done & completed by Tuesday afternoon. Can't recommend highly enough. So I am here to inform you guys of what was , in my opinion, an ATTEMPTED scam!...so I was told earlier this week that someone could come out this week for a diagnostic charge of $65 which would be applied to the total cost of fixing my dryer if they fixed it. So a technician, Jose, came to check it out this morning and was here 5-10 mins and came up with a total of $120. Doesn't sound as ridiculous as it really is until I tell you what he actually did. All he did was switch the breakers off and then back on and the dryer worked again. My brother never even saw him touch the dryer. When asked to explain why the total was that ridiculously high, he said that it was because he came out, diagnosed it, and fixed it. I continued to inquire about how that made sense and to explain and all he said was "I fixed it. That's just the total cost of services" I said " but all you did was flip a switch" and he said " I fixed it". After this conversation left me completely confused and dissatisfied I paid him so that he would leave and called the company and was told that they would consult the head technician for an explanation. She called back about an hour later, which was quite timely, and said that she didn't know how that total was made and that it should've been only $75. She briefly apologized and said that she would mail and check with the refunded balance. I will never use this company again and I am very displeased with the dishonesty, mischief and lack of decent customer service. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the better business bureau. read more

I can't say enough what a great company this is. I'm recently widowed, moved back to Houston and needed a repair on a "covered repair" under my home warranty. I filed for the repair but no one showed up. Called for service, no one showed up. So I decided to forget going through the warranty and found this place, Appliance Home Service. They are amazing!! Had my fridge delivering ice in no time. That was back in September. Then last week my dryer quit working...went through the home warranty headache again...this time they tell me there are no technicians in my area for another week! Forget that! I called Appliance Home Repair and they say they can have a tech out tomorrow. If that's not awesome enough, I investigated and found the source of my dead dryer...a cracked knob. I called AHS back and left a message to say I only need a knob and one tech calls me right back to tell me where I can get a new one!! Now that's service! When a small glitch arose after the repair, he promptly stopped by and diagnosed the remaining problem and repaired it quickly. Prices were reasonable, will use again. read more

Prompt response on yelp followed by a prompt phone call to book an appointment. The tech Engel was punctual, very thorough and explained what he was looking for and diagnosing as he checked our refrigerator. He even went a step ahead to clean up areas as he was inspecting. The guy who came out here was very nice and professional. The business management is another story. They charged me a $65.00 "service fee" for saying No to a costly repair. That fee was never disclosed over the phone, yet they still insist that I pay it. Pass this company. If they will not disclose $65.00 who knows what else they won't disclose.
