When our…read moresuspension rods failed, Soni specifically requested OEM replacement parts right from the start, but American Home Shield sent aftermarket parts anyway. Soni forewarned me that aftermarket suspension rods always fail in his experience and that only OEM parts would truly fix the issue. Sure enough, after installing the first set of aftermarket parts, they didn't even last a single day. Soni requested OEM parts from AHS a second time, but they sent aftermarket parts again. He stood his ground and pushed back until AHS finally authorized genuine OEM factory parts. Once those proper OEM parts were installed, the fix was completely successful and the washer is running like new with zero shaking. Soni is honest, highly skilled, and truly advocates for his customers against home warranty runarounds. Highly recommend asking for him!

He installed that part and we paid him and we're told we had 30 day warranty on service. The ice maker wasn't working the next day and we called him immediately. He came out to inspect and since he initially failed to look at both parts of the ice maker and fix the entire thing at once, there was a second part that was broken. Although the new part installed kept the ice from freezing, it was still not being released into a cup at the touch of the button. This was going to be $200 plus issue, but he would not fix it under the warranty. In addition to this, he scratched our floors moving the fridge. I was very unhappy with the service and did not feel he was thorough or professional. Would not recommend this company for home repairs.

To…read moreour surprise, the GVC personal shows up at the door a day before the appointment without prior notice or intimation about his visit. After the initial troubleshoot, i was told that the parts will be ordered and he'll be back in 4-5 days for the repair. Days passed and there was no word from GVC on whether the parts were arrived or not. Getting hold of them is not easy (none will bother to respond to the voice mails), finally after getting hold of them to check on my repair order, they mentioned the parts haven't arrived yet and was given a new date (pushing by a week) and confirmed the repair on a specific day/time(9am-1pm) and none showed up on that day. I felt like i am being fooled about the situation and asked further on why GVC confirmed the date/time in the first place when they don't know when the parts will arrive and doesn't bother to notify or keep me informed instead sharing all the news when I call them. I reminded them on the bad reviews all over the place from customers for the same reasons (very poor communication i.e no emails, no return or update calls). On this, the person on other side was not happy about the facts about their company when presented to them and also bluntly said, they'll go ahead and cancel the repair order. For me, that reflected how serious they were in their business. LG themselves couldn't get hold (or response) of the GVC manager for few days to get the order details to confirm whether the parts are shipped or delayed for any reasons, so think about situation of a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS for any repairs. A very pathetic and horrible company ever worked with. this company was hired by a third contracted party (LG) for a service repair claim on sat May 10…read more2024 for a refrigerator not working. the date was set for wed may 15 2024 and GVC gave a window of 9 hours to be home 8 am-5pm. they never came nor did the company call or email or return any calls that day when I was calling to find out how much longer. they arrived at 5:10pm walk up to the door, take a picture of himself at the house and doesn't wait or want to talk to the camera (ring) and walks away. The Tech doesn't call to say he arrived, or leave a note and I never got an email to reschedule. I called and told the LG company and told them I HAVE A VIDEO WITH TIME STAMP. He showed up next day without notice at all, was there for 2 minutes and said the mother board part will take 5-10 days. its May 28 2024 and they won't return my phone calls the won't keep me updated. i only got one call from gvc asking for the proof on may 21. its been 18 day without a refrigerator/freezer and all i want is an update. horrible company!!!

I hadn't heard of the company before and am fairly new to the area. I hate cold calling repair guys, was leery of repair ads on Craigslist, and knew nobody who could recommend anyone reputable. I searched reviews on Yelp and read nothing but positive comments about R & M, so had to give them a shot. Ray asked a few simple questions over the phone to narrow down the problem. He ruled out larger issues and broke it down to 4 potential problems, along with an estimate of what each might cost. I asked about payments that he accepts. He responded "cash or check". It's nice to have options (i.e. I didn't have to run to the ATM). Ray came over that same afternoon. He was personal, professional, and patient with my numerous questions. Perhaps he should have received a higher wage for providing an education on the workings of a refrigerator. He showed me how he ruled out the other issues and luckily, he just needed to replace the heating element in the self-defrost system. With that not working properly, frost built up on the coils which caused poor air flow. No air flow = no cooling. I learned a lot and it was really interesting! My appliance was fixed the same day and the cost was very reasonable! Thank you Ray!! Frustrated, I decided to call up my mom who has worked in the appliance industry for over 30 years. She immediately gave me Ray's number from R & M Appliance & Repair Service. One quick call and we had a time set for him to come out. He gave me a call the morning of to give me a window of time in which he'd stop by . He arrived within the window that he gave us and was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, and even gave me the backstory on why these units were having the issues that we were dealing with. The entire time he was very professional and my daughter even had fun watching him while he worked his magic. Not only did he replace the board on the washer, but he called in to Whirlpool so that it would be 100% covered by them (it's a faulty board that they're aware of, but because it doesn't pose a safety threat there's no recall). He was there for about 30 minutes and by the time he was done I was as happy as a clothes-washing clam. Ray was incredibly nice and very professional. I've honestly never dealt with a nicer repair guy before. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who's having appliance issues. This guy is awesome!

I called back the same day and let them know the repairs did not work a second visit was scheduled between the first and the upcoming second visit. I left a negative review based on my wife's interaction with a technician that came to my house. They just called me and said they're canceling the ticket because of the review I left. How do you expect to survive in this business? If you're unwilling to accept constructive feedback will never do business with these folks again and I recommend no one else does either. The feedback is constructive. It is simply a matter if you're willing to view it as such. You had the opportunity to place the part that you ordered yet you chose not to.

Technician was really professional and knew what he was doing bc I had done everything he was doing the night before to fix the dishwasher on my own and had failed lol. I was too Nervous to mess with the drainage pipe myself as I had expected that issue could be there. He found the problem in the drainage pipe as well. AND, the failed repair cost $200 more than the estimate. I contacted him a couple days after the attempted repair to tell him the machine still leaks and got no response. My advice is to buy a new machine and skip the wasted time and money for a failed repair. If you do hire them, be sure to get an estimate in writing.
