I am giving a three star vs a lower one because the owner has a nice personality and I think his "intent" was honest, but.... . My Magtag washer is two years old. APPRO came and said it could be mixed...after three visits and work I was informed the washer could not be fixed. Secondly, the owner suggested my dryer duct was clogged.....he said the vent was in the front of the house, climbed to it and said, it was so clogged the flapper did not move when the dryer was on. Thank you APPRO! The icemaker in my 15 year old Fisher and Paykel refrigerator with bottom freezer is working again! APPRO replaced the icemaker after I went down several rabbit holes with: a Fisher and Paykel technician who made the original diagnostic visit, said I needed a new ice maker and then left the company; an official F&P service contractor who wanted to charge a ridiculous installation fee ; and another company that had done a previous repair on the fridge, but was slow to respond. Meanwhile I bought a replacement icemaker and sensor on Amazon to save on a second and unnecessary diagnostic visit. I finally called APPRO on a recommendation from Nextdoor, a little anxious because I did not know much about them and not every appliance repair company knows F&P appliances. Fred sent a technician (Niiqhat - sp.?) the same day I called, even though it was not an emergency. It was quite a challenge to open up the panel lying on the floor with his head inside the freezer, but he ultimately succeeded and replaced the icemaker in about an hour. The charge was a flat installation fee of $175, since I had purchased the part myself. Very reasonable! Five stars to APPRO for their responsiveness, expertise and reasonable charges. I will certainly call them again if my other aging appliances are in need of repair. read more

Pro: Fuad was very responsive in coming out for an initial service call for my malfunctioning dishwasher. Cons: Fuad and the office manager initially said the repair would be $50 for the service call, $78 for the labor, and $222 for a replacement heat pump from Bosch. But when I double-checked the part number, they misidentified either my dishwasher model or the replacement part. When I pointed out that the replacement heat pump I need that's compatible with my dishwasher is $114 cheaper, Fuad reduced the total $350 cost by...$25. I'm going with another repair option. read more

He knew, from my description of our wall oven failure mode, that he would need an additional person to remove the heavy oven to replace the cooling fan. The previous owners had tried to have this problem fixed but had failed because most appliance shops choose not to service problems that require two technicians. Fridge water dispenser stopped working and oven igniter replaced both for $550. They changed the igniter on initial inspection and came a week later to change the water dispenser housing, maybe because the water line had a blockage. Professional and communicative about scheduling and price. Oven was replaced in 20 mins and I don't know how much the water dispenser housing costs which took about an hour of labor. Their service fee of $30 is very fair as compared to others. I paid towards the larger repair, but the issue resolved and they are working with me to either provide a refund or use it to check out another appliance.
