It's an insta-cool top floor lounge with an outdoor patio, and it's decorated kind of like an actual apartment. There's a fake shower, a couch, and other cool wall art for all your snaps and IG photos. Hip-hop and R&B vibes and interesting drinks complete the space. Drinks are about $12+. To get there, enter the building through the doors (kind of going into an alley) on Serrano. Take the elevators on your right to the top floor. I'm here about once a month because I live right in front and it's a two minute walk but this place has changed a lot since when it first opened. The crowd is certainly younger and the drinks are watered down. They're overpriced and served in plastic cups which can be a disappointment. The music is still pretty solid, mainly hip hop. I do think this place has sticky floors- the bathroom is a complete mess. But I do think it's a cool venue overall and I enjoy the ambience. Also, they have a taco man on Friday night! Came on a Friday night and got a bottle. This was my first time there so I wasn't sure what to expect but when we first walked in I immediately got a bad impression. Semi-ratchet scene with obviously ZERO dress code. Pretty small and either the place itself stinks, or people that night don't know what deodorant is or haven't showered in days. It smelled like a Monday morning frat house mixed with nasty B.O. The music was mostly hip hop with some good old jams played but was mostly new stuff that's not my thing. The bottle service girl was nice but didn't really see her after she first brought the bottle and poured a round. I went to the bar to get a different cocktail and it took forever because the bar is right up against the dance floor and there were only 2 (slow) bartenders. Best part of the night, the taco guy out on the patio haha. I wanted a snack so got an al pastor taco ($2) and it was tiny but pretty damn good. This place has potential but maybe I went on the wrong night since that wasn't really my scene. If you like twerking to mumble rap while smelling B.O. and waiting forever to get a drink, this may be the place for you on Friday nights lol. Stay away from this decrepit place..... keep your money in your pocket. After visiting businesses like La Cita or Clifton's.... Apt 503 feels like you're regressing back to Middle School days. The cheap and over-priced cocktails (~$13) are served over plastic cups; but if you prefer beer, you can have a Modelo Clara for the whopping price of 8 dollars. Boooo. It feels like this place used to be a retail store because of the flushed in-ceiling speakers, which are used by the Dj. Since cocktails and beers are overpriced, I feel the owner should reinvest part of the earnings into decent JBL speakers that would fill the small club with bass-vibrations. The Dj that night did an amazing job mixing.... but that vibe didn't quite resonate through the club with the cheap sound of the speakers. In other words.... this club tries REALLY hard but falls terribly short. I'd much rather spend my money in a club that serves me a cocktail in glass and has bottled domestic craft selection beer. I'm giving this 4 stars because I love music, and I like to dance...and this place gave me both! We went on a Friday night and the DJ played a lot of old school hip hop, dance, etc. The drinks kept flowing, and the dance floor was spacious enough to not constantly bump elbows. This place has a lot of cute décor as well, (just look at all the Yelp pictures) so if you're into taking those profile pics/selfies, don't forget to walk around the entire venue. They also have an outdoor area/patio where the music isn't blaring (obviously because the DJ is inside), but a nice place to chill out after dancing for a while. They also have a decent amount of seating there but make sure that you secure your seats because they can go fast. The bar was great as well...drinks are not bad, but also not as strong (for my taste). They also have food (I didn't order any, but saw it at a few tables. Since it is in Ktown, it'll be wise to eat something before since it's surrounded by restaurants anyway. They also ID, so...don't try coming if you're under 21. We didn't have to pay a cover either. There are a LOT of Asians here...I think I saw maybe 3 non-Asians. Also, I'm not sure how parking works here, we pretty much ride share when we know we're drinking...and honestly, you should too! What an awesome bar! First, if you've never been the entrance is by elevator right by the parking lot. Go up to the 5th floor! I loved this bar from the moment I walked in. The layout and the art is amazing. Just walking around inside is a trip. Go around the corner to find yourself a great place to hang outside. Drinks were good. I'm not sure what we thought this place was going to be but with such a strict dress code, and guest list demand, we thought it would be an upscale and trendy lounge. However, it was not. We saw guys in track suits, shorts, baseball caps. It's definitely not a place for 30 somethings to go and enjoy. Service was good but so slow. They only have one bartender in each of the two bars they have and there's no way your getting a Drink within ten min. They have table service as well as an outdoors area. The outdoor area basically blends in with the indoor area so even if your in the "indoor" section, all the cigarette or weed smoke and smell comes in. Only way to enjoy it is get drunk I guess. Night out in K-Town for my birthday. Got off the elevator. There was a crowd control ropes that had no directions to stand which line. Line wasn't too long yet. Right when we were right up front. First off the host looked like she was not enjoying her job. Security's was all over the place. Right then I knew this was gonna be a bad customer service already. So she said you have to go to the next line over. I told her we are here now. Can we just go in? No you have to stand in the next line. I didn't know we were in military school. Stood in line for about 10 minutes. Got in. Went straight to the bar. Went to the pretty girl bartender. Ordered drinks. Took my CASH. I read her lips right away. She said "WTF" . Came here for a friend's bday and for our large group it was much easier for people to divide up and get on the guest list vs trying to do that as a large group. My hubs and I can't party late anymore so we went pretty early around 1030 and we were literally the first people in the lounge. We got a black dahlia which was vodka with berries and a pretty purple orchid and dragon's breath which had whiskey, fireball and ginger/lemon flavors. White Rabbit which had gin, lime, elderflower and yummy foam, this was probably my favorite drink. There was another drink but I don't recall this one but overall, the drinks were reasonably well made and pricing was average at around $14 each. The decor is very cutesy and good for photos and I liked the vibe here because there were tables and chairs to sit at and also you could use any open space as a dance floor too. I liked the people who were here though I think they were much younger than me (heh) but they were super friendly and we ended up dancing up a storm. Also though due to the younger crowd, some can't hold their drink and in the very limited one per sex bathrooms, someone yakked by the end of the night so I slightly slipped in vomit (yuck). Apt 503 is one of my favorite clubs in Ktown. The music is great, lots of stuff to dance to, the scene is upscale chill, they have a nice indoor/outdoor space and because of the strict guest list, it never gets overly crowded. If you are a fan of the clubbing scene, but not a fan of being packed into a small sweaty space like a sardine, you will appreciate Apt 503. It is not difficult to get on the guest list (as a girl), and I've even emailed them last minute on a Saturday with no problems. The drinks are LA priced, but of high quality. Been here once and loved it! It was a very random night and my friends and I just decided to finally check them out. They were accommodating, we were able to add ourselves in the guestlist on the same night. At first I was quite worried because I was wearing sneakers (had no time to go back and change) but we still gave it a try. Apparently I think they allow upscale casual attire (fashionable casual/trendy) which is a good thing. The interior of the place is amazing! Everywhere I look I find it really artistic and cute! I feel like I'm inside a comic strip. Every corner of the place is Instagram and Snapchat worthy. They have an outdoor area which is cozy. I remember they were playing 2000s and modern R&B/Hiphop that night which is really cool. I love the vibe, I love the crowd. Exceptional. Cute little lounge! Came here on a Saturday night, and had a very enjoyable experience. THE DRINKS: Drinks were good and LA priced (about $15 for a craft cocktail). I got a drink w some flower whipped cream and it was goood. I had mixed feelings about the GIANT block of ice in my drink though. I would have appreciated getting a little more cocktail and a little less ice. All the drinks were good and not stingy w the alcohol. THE SERVICE: Everyone working here was nice and accommodating. Nothing that stood out especially, good or bad. It was just.. nice. THE PLACE: So many things here that are photo-friendly. But a lot of people are around taking pics. So if you're trying to take a cute picture with no rush, I suggest coming a little earlier. My one complaint was that there was only one bathroom for girls and one for guys. It certainly tries to create a chill scene with an outdoor area as well as artful walls that act as good photo backdrops. There's one bar by the day so its a bit of a zoo there. Otherwise, it's a cozy place where you'll have a fun time with your group, but not really a place to meet others if that is what you are into. The DJ is a hit or miss and don't forget to get on the guestlist so they sometimes try to get really particular about it. Was only in LA for the weekend and a friend suggested this little lounge so we went and the decors were so cute!! Music was mainly mainstream R&B and pop music. Would be nice if they played some ratchet hip hop music haha but I'm not complaining about the music since basically every other clubs/lounges nowadays just play EDM. It was kinda hard to find the entrance into this bar. It's basically located at a banquet hall and on the fifth floor of an apartment building lol! If you park at the parking complex you wouldn't have a hard time but if you got dropped off you'd def have to spend some time looking around first before finding the entrance. Definitely had more of a rooftop house party vibe than a bar/club vibe. It was really easy to be put on the guest list! Otherwise good luck getting in since Apt 503 fills up fast. It is an apartment after all, not a condo! This semi-rooftop bar is located on the 5th floor of the Aroma building that houses Starbucks, a Korean spa, gym, and golf range. Walk inside the building to find twin elevators, NOT the outside elevator that leads to the golf range. Decor is tres chic, picture perfect backdrops galore. Drinks were flowing and music was a good mix of old and new hip-hop and EDM. I saw some dance moves on the patio later in the night, but there were plenty of nooks to sit down inside the lounge. My roommates and I came here pretty often in a 3 month span. The guest list is easy to get on and it never takes long to get in. It's got a great vibe and cute decor. They have tables both inside and outside, two bars, and decently priced bottle service. However, be sure you dress to impress bc they can be pretty strict about the dress code here. The only downsides are that the restrooms are on a single person basis so the lines can stack up, forcing you to leave the club and use the ones in the hotel outside the entrance. The others are that the drinks here are not cheap, and the "fullness" of the bar/lounge is relatively inconsistent. Overall, my friends and I continue to make the hour drive out here bc the music is good and the vibe is fun and chill. No fights break out inside the bar and barely ever are undanceable EDM tracks played. There is even a parking structure right next door that allows you to avoid LA street parking and get free (validated) parking courtesy of 503. This process was easy, and when we got there we were let in without any issues. Stepped inside and the music was good. A good mix of hip hop and r&b, and the crowd itself is probably the most diverse crowd I've come across in ktown. The vibe here was just different it's kind of hard to explain, but it was def good vibes. Drinks prices were good too. No real complaints here. This place is a hidden gem in LA! I went here for my girlfriends 22nd birthday. I love what they did with the space-- it's unique and super fun to go to if you and your friends just want to get lit and have a good time. They play predominantly hip-hop/r&b music as well as some popular throwbacks. They have a nice bar as well as seating around the room. They have cool art decor too. Also one part of the room has big windows where you can see a nice view of the city at night. I highly recommend going here! Overall had a really positive experience here from start to finish. I'm so glad I finally got to check this place out after hearing about it from all my friends! I last minute had to add some friends to the guest list the same day I planned on going, so I emailed them not knowing if they'd be able to accommodate my last minute request. However, maybe 5 minutes within emailing them, they responded to me confirming my reservation and reminded me of having the proper girl to guy ratio which I thought was very courteous of them! When I showed up around 10:30 pm, I was let in almost instantly after getting into line which was awesome for a Saturday night! But do take note that they are very specific about having your exact name on the guest list and do check it against your ID. When I got in it wasn't crowded at all and they even had a nice patio portion so you only feel so stuffy inside! Drinks are reasonably priced here, bartenders are really friendly and it is super easy to get a drink because their bar is adequately staffed. There's tons of cute backdrops to take pictures with your girlfriends in front of and the music is ON POINT! What I thought was super cute was they serve their drinks out of coffee mugs if you get a table/bottle service there. I would totally recommend this to a group trying to have a fun night out whether it be for a birthday party or just any other weekend as the service here is efficient, music and vibe is on point, no cover, and it isn't disgustingly crowded! Not normally open on Wednesday nights but we are here for a Spring Fling. Yogurtland Wilshire & Vermont is here along with skewers from Kaya Street Kitchen and boba drinks from Cafe 70 Degrees. For alcoholic drinks, one blue ticket will get you "any-ting you want". There was only one restriction, top shelf was off limits. A place that has a drink called Dragon's Breath is what I would like to order. You should see my video on how the drink is finished with such fiery presentation. Group pictures are great but we have to take a few pictures with Share a Moment Photo Booth. I wasn't too much for skin care from Stacy's Rodan + Fields Skincare as much as the ladies were loving the products offered. It's a small place and the bartenders sure know how to make a strong drink drinkable. You don't have to sneak up on it like at other places with special events. That's always awesome in my book. The music was on point throughout the entire night (2000s hip hop). Jill was my hostess and she was very friendly and frequently checked on my friends and I to see if we were having a good time or if we needed anything. It was a good crowd that night.
