This was a fun stop on a very very windy day in P town. We were able to find a space out on the deck where we could enjoy our drinks with a great view of the ocean. What's very nice here is they allow you to bring in food from the neighboring restaurants and so my friend enjoyed her fried calamari while I sipped a very tasty Jolly Rancher cocktail. It looked great and even better when the bartender added the blue Curaçao but I would've liked it to of just been left without stirring. A friend of mine tells me that the classic Jolly Rancher has an actual Jolly Rancher candy in the bottom. That would've been very cool. Love, love, love the Aqua Bar! The drinks, the staff, the view, the location, the prices - fantastic! While on your stroll down Commercial St in the lovely Provincetown, you come across a little wharf with a large sign declaring "FOOD COURT" - that about sums up what you'll find inside this area. It's a bunch of little restaurants serving Chinese, American, Mexican, Ice Cream, etc. - you get the drill. At the end of this touristy food court, there is a quaint little watering hole of an oasis overlooking the bay. There is a raw bar with exquisite oysters and shrimp cocktail galore! The drinks are at the right price and you're always greeted with a smile! I enjoy coming here to relax while looking out into the ocean and taking the edge off. Aqua Bar has delicious (and deliciously boozy) cocktails, fair prices and great staff. The Gingered Whisky cocktail is especially good with the addition of the ginger liqueur and The Dockside is great if you want to get hammered on a budget. After having enjoyed a large meal of fish and chips in Hyannis, we arrived in Provincetown with time to check in to our bed and breakfast, check out downtown, and search for a lounge where we might enjoy a late evening cocktail. This is when we found Aqua Bar. Located on the water at the far back of the mall, it was the perfect location for our first evening on the Cape. Surrounded by a transparent tent, we were protected from the rather chilly evening breeze while still able to enjoy the waterfront views. They also had their heaters fired up, their flames creating a cozy sort of romantic vibe. We were, in short, enchanted. They mix a decent cocktail and encourage patrons to bring any food they'd like to enjoy with libations on their patio, which you should definitely do--as the view is very much worth it. The only weird thing was the music they were playing. It was truly tragic 80's elevator music. It wasn't cool 80's--there was no Cure, Depeche Mode, or Tears for Fears. More like Michael Bolten. The only redemption was MJ's, Man in the Mirror and Madonna's, Crazy for You. Other than that--the sort of 80's music that you'd have never entertained the possibility of enjoying in the 80's but your parents may have. Which is to say: like totally lame. They were watered down and we couldn't figure out how that was possible as the bartender opened what we assumed was a new bottle! Literally heaven on earth. Such a cool location, which feels like you're at the end of the world. Deck has seats overlooking the beach. You can feel the sea breeze and sit next to the heat towers. My boyfriend and I went to Cape Cod for a weekend getaway. The last night we were there we decided to visit Province town. While waiting for my boyfriend's brother and his girlfriend to finish shopping we stumbled upon aqua bar! This bar is amazing if you are looking for a romantic beach hangout to just relax and have a cocktail by the ocean! The bar has seating facing the beach and a great view of the water and the sunset! The also had a fire going outside which was so pretty! They have a super fun drink list which I loved! I had a water melon jolly rancher martini which was delicious! Drinks were reasonably priced and if you dont want anything fancy they could also make you a classic cocktail or even a beer! My boyfriend has a cider and they had a few options to choose from. AWFUL! The only good thing going for this place is the view. After receiving the drinks that we ordered, the server asked if we were going to get more drinks and asked if we wanted to open a tab. At the time we were unsure, so I gave him my card to open a tab. We ordered two drinks (watermelon mojito and margarita). Drinks were watered down and the margarita had too much sour mix you could barely taste the tequila. Since we were not too fond of the drinks and the service wasn't great, we decided to close the tab. The server had a hard time finding my card in the system so he said he'd be right back. He left, walked around, and came back saying he still couldn't find it. He said that since he slid my card I should be "all set." He was in a rush to move away from us. Before we left, I decided to log into my credit card app and saw that there was an initial charge of $34.24. It was then refunded, then I was recharged $40. I then reviewed the menu online which states the margarita was $12 and the mojito was also $12. I called the server over and showed him the charge and he couldn't explain it. I then asked for the itemized receipt which listed the margarita as $12.00 and an extra $4.00 for Casamigos tequila (ok.. I can understand a bit of an up-charge, but he asked if there was a preference of tequila and it was watered down so it wasn't worth it). Then the mojito was listed as $12.00, they added $2.00 for watermelon and $2.00 for Bacardi. I didn't specifically ask for Bacardi but I've never heard of a place charging a price for a drink then charging for the liquor they add to it. The drink should be listed as $14 if that's the case (without added flavors). This boosted the subtotal to $32 when it should have been $26 (before tax). THEN a tip of $5.76 was added to the bill which made the total $40 with tax.. and maybe the reason why I was recharged after the initial payment was refunded. Super sketchy and overall dissatisfied with 2 watered down drinks that costed $40. Definitely stay away from here. We later went to The Club next door. The view and service were both great and it only costs us $60 for 4 drinks (which were really good) and the tip for our server. read more

Perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail over lovely waterfront views. The service here is excellent, and the Bloody Mary mix is homemade. It doesn't get much better than that! For food, just bring your own. There are plenty of quick-service/takeout options in the adjacent shopping area/restored barn... Everything from a raw oyster bar and seafood shop to Chinese food, Latin cuisine and more. When I went, both bartenders were super friendly, fun and accommodating. Our group was in from out-of-town, and the bartenders even took great photos of us! If it were for view and convenience this place would be a solid 5+. However, it appears they don't make the extra effort because they can bank on the view from the deck and ease of location. We stopped in here with our daughter and another couple, because it was a place she could run around and we could "relax". HA. Either way my wife ordered the first round of drinks and the bartender was un- necessarily rude and didn't even respond as she got our drinks. (hey i;m about do pay 38 dollars for drinks it took you 2 minutes to make, do you want a drink or no?) Annoying to me when servers are rude when you are polite. She warmed up eventually but it took awhile. Budlights are 4 dollars a pop so that is pretty nice, but mixed drinks are crazy 10-15 dollars for a mixed drink?? Get out of my fuckin face with that shit. But like I said people will come here no matter what cause the view is great. We stayed for 2-3 drinks and had a good time because the deck is nice, but the service hurts the place honestly. We would have preferred to go other places and would have if we didn't have the little one, but eh I wouldn't recommend this place to many people. read more
