This is a fun place that we like to bring friends when they come to the Provincetown or Truro area. It is a short walk from the ferry, and a great place to get a relaxing drink and take in the spectacular views of Ptown harbor. It's dog-friendly, as is most of Ptown, so sit with your pooch and enjoy cocktails with a view. My only criticism is that the service always seems to be a bit slow, but I attribute that to the fact that the staff is enjoying the laid-back environment as much as the tourists are....island style if you will. If you're a beer drinker, they have Cape Cod Beer products on tap, the Cape Cod Red is a "must try." Bottom line: fun, lively spot with good drinks and a great outdoor view. We go here at least once a trip. It's great if you have a lot of people or if it's just a small group. You can sit under umbrellas or along the side in the sun. The views are amazing, the bartenders are always nice (and quick) and they have a decent beer and wine offering as well as cocktail menu. Average prices. You can bring food in from one of the take out places in Whaler's Wharf and eat at Aqua Bar. The vibe here is always fun, people watching or watching dogs play on the beach, the ships come in and/or the sunset are all staples here. It's also a great meeting place for people that are shopping on Commercial St (hint: finish shopping early and go here for a drink). read more

BTW--- drinks only, no food! There is however small food vendors around the bar. This is a must visit if you are in Provincetown. On the beach with a gorgeous view of the shore, you can't go wrong. I had a passion fruit mojito and the bartender was really chill. One guy who looked like Chachi was lingering around the bar and he had huge plastic surgery lips... For several years now, Aqua Bar has been our secret get away located directly on the water front. Fortunately for them, and unfortunately for us, the word is getting out. The staff is extremely friendly and easily interacts with the patrons. Drinks are reasonably priced and they do not skimp on the alcohol what's so ever. The panoramic view is both breath taking and to die for whether it's sunrise, sunset or anytime in between. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable with different generations of music playing in the background as well as heat lamps if it becomes cooler at night. Aqua Bar is an outdoor bar at the end of a pier-style food court Serving up Mexican, Chinese, and "food truck" style vendors you can order and sit outside with a view of the ocean! I didn't get a drink because it was just a little too early in the morning, but my friends and I ordered lunch from "box lunch" and sat on the end of the pier next to the bar and enjoyed the day! Great location, but extremely busy. Don't expect there to be open tables available. And if you do end up waiting, there is a tiny raw bar you can slurp a few oysters while sweating in the sun. read more

The drinks and the view cannot be missed when visiting P'town. It's a small patio overlooking watercraft of every kind coming and going (but not 'engine-loud'.) The drinks were liberally poured to match the high prices. Good place to hang with both visitors and locals. read more

TERRIBLE Customer Service! One of my friends ordered a margarita and really struggled to drink it. When some other friends arrived and joined our table, two of the four people ordered margaritas and commented about how delicious they were. My friend who was struggling to drink his took a sip of one of those and realized IF his margarita had ANY Tequila in it; it wasn't much and tasted like straight sour mix. He finally decided to bring it back to the bar as he just couldn't drink it and after a sip of another margarita at the table he knew it wasn't made correctly. Most establishments will make a wrong RIGHT immediately; regardless of their opinion..."the customer is always right" but Danielle who was tending bar argued with my friend and reluctantly took his drink that he complained about and made him a new one; which by the way was much better but he was still perplexed by her attitude. Another round of margaritas was ordered and they too tasted like straight sour mix. Another member of our party took her margarita back up to the bar after three small sips to complain that it wasn't made correctly. Danielle said "another member of your party already pulled this" and continued to argue with her; insisting the other Bartender on duty; Morgan pours the same as she does. Danielle didn't offer to make another drink in exchange for the bad one; instead slapped $10.00 on the bar as if to say, "scurry along". I've never been told that by bringing a lousy drink that you cannot drink to the attention to the Bartender is "pulling something". There are plenty of establishments to have a cocktail without attitude; we won't be returning to the Aqua bar. read more

Aqua Bar is new to Provincetown and the best thing to come to town in the past 10 years. The view is amazing- its right over the water, looking out over the bay full of boats to the tip of the cape and the corresponding lighthouses. The bartenders and fun and pour with a heavy hand. There is one other bar in town with a similar location/view, but its not half as fun and they don't accept credit cards. I discovered the bar when picking up a phat burrito from Big Daddy's. You can take food from the Aquarium food sellers (pizza, sushi, burritos, gelato, chinese food) out on to the deck, order a drink, and enjoy. Then I brought my friends back at night- what a special place. read more

Ben kills it with the oysters. Fast, with a focus on quality. Fabulous! The oysters were well chilled under ice. They had just the right level on salinity. Ben makes the mignonette himself, with tender scallions instead if onions, proving that perfect piquant bite to the tang of he vinegar. Ben kills it at Native Cape Cod Seafood at Aqua Bar! 4.5 stars... Aqua Bar seems like the small outdoor patio bar you might find behind a full sized bar elsewhere but this little bar is the whole thing. It's one of the simplest and most beautiful bars I've been to in a long time (mostly due to the spectacular view). The large wooden deck, the raised tables (with umbrellas) and chairs and counter overlooking the ocean are very clean and classy. They even have a small patio couch and couple of lounge chairs off to the side for a more intimate setting. Despite the fact that it's outside there's still no smoking (a big plus in my opinion). Drinks are priced normally (slightly expensive for the Cape though). They only have a few beers on tap and mine was slightly flat but anything tasted good with this view of the harbor. The only other negatives where that instead of relaxing and listening to the waves they had some annoying new age trance music blaring out of the speakers (I had come during the day and lucked out as there was no music), and they close along with most of all the other businesses in town at 11pm (which is pretty good for the shops but a little disappointing for a bar). read more

Great harbor front bar with amazing views. You can grab a couple beers, order some oysters or a variety of other things from nearby purveyors (the bar is byo food), and enjoy a beautiful sunset. We only had beer so I can't attest to the cocktails. Service was fairly no frills but nice enough. read more

The best waterfront experience in Ptown. On a 10 day trip, this became my go-to spot. It's a big deck on the bay with plenty of tables and chairs. Get some decent take out from one of the restaurants in the building or some fresh oysters. Then grab a drink from Aquabar and have a very relaxing time watching boats, kayakers, or the sunset. Whether you are with friends or by yourself, Aqua Bar is a great place to have a drink and enjoy the view. read more

What a VIEW! Business may also be called 'Native Cape Cod Seafood' because the sidewalk menu sign has Native Local Seafood at the top, hence the confusion. Either way it's down the small sky covered open ended restaurant tunnel, on the right across from the gelato stand. Here you order and pay for food upfront usually, however the food my parents ordered later they began a tab for us. Very simple business appearance but don't be mistaken, I ordered 24 yummy bayside raw oysters but got 27 w lots of lemons per my request for only 40$. A bowl of fresh yet decent clam chowder was $7 but came in paper. That's okay except for gale winds nearly blew it into a customer besides us on the amazing view patio deck. Watch for wind! Mother had lobster pasta for 19$, loaded with lob meat. Father had the hearty fisherman plate 25$ calamari just lightly fried how I LOVE it, fries, large scallops, lite fried cod, shrimp. It was all a considerable amount of food value. Patio Bartender was quite flamboyant, which is always fine except he seemed more interested In being noticed and grooving to ambiance music than actually serving up drinks, so I left the steady line to enjoy the water I already had. Would certainly eat there often if I were local. Rope lights come on at sunset. read more

Great at bar but the Amazing views of PTown Piers and Bay are picture perfect! Bring your own food and buy a drink or buy from their raw bar.A must if on PTown!
