Don't go here! It's not worth your time or money & I've been there twice! Seriously, it's that bad. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. The prices are outrageous & they don't honor seating requests even though they say otherwise. If work hard for your money, do yourself a favor and go to the Blue Wolf where the food & service is outstanding. We asked for a special place to sit when we made the reservation because it was a special occasion. They sat us at a table next to the front door in winter in the bar! It was so loud we couldn't hear each because of the bar chatter (2 people) & looked forward to a quiet, romantic dinner. (We just got married the week before). Yeah, that didn't happen. We ordered calamari as the appetizer. The serving was very small, expensive & rubbery. Sadly, the sauce was a poor excuse for 'good Italian cuisine' despite the fact that they claim to be an upscale Italian restaurants. Oh, and you have to pay extra for a garden salad. They brought my meal of four small scallops on an appetizer plate rather than a dinner plate. I guess they thought they could make the scallops look larger that way. The scallops were hiding in a small pile of arugula. No dressing. Just dry arugula & four scallops. My husband's meal was no better. We had one coke and one crappy concoction from the bar. No desert. Having been given a gift card, we DID NOT expect to have to pay for anything but the tip. Surprise! The appetizer put us over the top & we had to pay even more money for an evening we didn't enjoy. BTW, we don't mind paying for a good meal. Sorry this is so lengthy. Aqua Pazzo has always been a family favorite. We began coming to dine shortly after the restaurant opened. Our family has grown and I called for a reservation and was told in order to accommodate 12 people, we must rent a room and pay a 50.00 per person minimum spend, if I cancellation is necessary we will be required to pay 25.00 per person. We were looking for a Tuesday at 4:30 reservation, and have children and elderly people in our party, so the 50.00 spend per person would be difficult. I was also told that if your party is over 8 people you have to book a room and meet the minimum spend. I have dined in many local restaurants and have never been asked for a minimum spend for a simple dinner out for a party of 12. Very disappointed in this information. read more

I had a great time going there this weekend! I was lucky enough to get a patio table! Great ambiance with a koi pond and lights. Came with a friend and we ordered two drinks. I had a lemonchello mule which was very good and refreshing. My friend has ny whiskey sour which was also good! We had a cheese board and the shrimp and the lamb lollipops! Everything was so good!! What a pleasant surprise upon walking in! It's in kind of a strange area in Ytown, looking like nothing more than some kind of warehouse but inside is a modern and fancy Italian restaurant. The food is good. I ordered the orange rosemary salmon that comes with broccolini and risotto. They recommended the salmon to be cooked medium, which I said okay to, but I would've liked it cooked a bit more. It was tasty overall and the service was excellent! My husband and I dined here for the first time the other night with 2 other couples . We have heard so many good things about this restaurant and were excited to dine there. We started with the arancini & calamari appetizers-calamari was good and prepared as expected, but the arancini was exceptional - definitely exceeded expectations and highly recommend . We ordered Caesar and the Italian chop chop salads, Caesar salad was excellent, but the Italian chop chop did not come as expected as lettuce wasn't chopped up . I had the halibut with cacio e Pepe risotto. Both were well seasoned & cooked perfectly - I loved it and would definitely order again and recommend . My hubby & sister ordered the short rib pappardelle- the short rib was tender and both liked it but didn't love it . My brother in law had the spinach and cheese ravioli . He said the flavors were all good , but the pasta was undercooked and chewy . Our friend ordered the salmon . He ordered it medium rare and said it was overall good, but slightly overcooked . Server was nice and helpful, but we thought it was odd that she asked if while we finished our drinks did we want her to put our packed leftovers on a table near the door which wasn't anywhere near our table . The food is outstanding, as is the wait staff. The atmosphere is lovely. Great place to go out with friends and family! However, 2 girls at the desk might just kill this place if left to their own devices. This place is near our new house and came up on my Yelp feed. Didn't know you needed reservations nor were we told they were needed. We were looked at with disdain and shown the worst 2 tables by the door in a giant draft, while only 2 tables in the whole place were occupied...Ridiculous...especially given the bad weather...we were told all the other tables were reserved. We came for a good meal and I wasn't about to sit in a draft. My 3rd try, I asked to sit at one of the tables in the bar. A nice young fellow came up on these two and sat us at a lovely table. We absolutely loved this place. We will definitely be back. The greens were some of the best I ever had! And the charcuterie board with the truffle honey was worth every single penny! Our waiters name was I believe Jordan, he was so fast patient and polite. We ended up being there after hours which I hate to do but the staff didn't seem to mind. The pineapple martini was too good. Went again last night and had poor service. Nothing ruins a good meal like dirty plates sitting in front of you for 20 minutes and having to shout to get your servers attention to get another cocktail 30 mins after you finished the first one. This is an absolutely show stopping restaurant. The patio is stunning and feels like you are somewhere else then NE Ohio. It's beautiful and at night it's absolutely gorgeous with the lighting. The burrata appetizer is my favorite, the tomato jam really makes the dish. We have tried almost every dish on the menu and its hard to choose what to eat since everything is delicious. Service is outstanding everyone is kind and goes over the top every time to bring you a pleasant experience. Since covid everything is clean and well up to standard and even pre-covid this was extremely clean restaurant anyways. Happy hour prices on drinks are great as well! Try the chocolate soufflé, it's my favorite and hard to find dessert. read more

Disappointed. Used to be such a great place. Ambiance is lovely. Drinks were good and the service was good. My Alfredo pasta dish was not good. The sauce was runny and didn't even stick to my noodles. Worst yet is the ventilation system. It was extremely smoky. I ran into one of the restaurants investors and he told me that the building was renovated to a restaurant and they've always had ventilation issues. One of our favorite restaurants. Our first time Sitting down in a restaurant since the beginning of COVID. The atmosphere on the patio was spectacular. The food and service was not. No attention to detail, slow and food was inconsistent at best. The cast iron pork loin special we ordered was 2/3rds raw. Perfect for tenderloin not so much for pork loin. We got to a point where we just didn't want to tell the server something more was wrong....again. Felt bad but this is not what we have become accustomed too at AP. Trying to respect the challenges that come along with the new realities of COVID but it's hard. This is a wonderful restaurant. I took my daughter-in-law and son her for dinner for her birthday and everything was really delicious. I had the petite filet with fingerling potatoes and asparagus and half of their Cleveland Crisp Romaine with Parmesan's Reggiano salad and the steak was cooked to perfection, the potatoes and asparagus were wonderful and the salad with the Meyer lemon citronette was perfect. We had their hot peppers in oil and fresh mozzarella caprezze appetizers and espresso martini's. My son had the chicken saltimbocca and he loved it. Go, you won't be disappointed. Their outdoor seating with their pond is great for days when it isn't too hot, they have a nice bar area and a room for parties. For the app, was a tad disappointed with the 3 cheese for $10 and a single meat (sopresata) for $7. The cheese portions were fair but 5 slivers of meat for $7 was unacceptable. That type of meat is definitely supposed to be thin but $7 for 5 thin ass slices for 3 people was pathetic. But worse, they don't serve nor have on the menu, any crostini or crackers. Never seen that anywhere... I mean throw in 8 little crostini for fucks sake. I would have rather just paid $25 for legit charcuterie board with an even portion (albeit smaller amount) of meat, cheese, crostini, and jam. At least I know what to avoid for next time. And I hope there is a next time because outside the app, everything was great. Wouldn't get the carbonara again only because I'd like to explore one of their other unique dishes. read more

I was very disappointed in my meal that was on the summer menu. It was a lobster pasta with tomato and asparagus. I received 3 small pieces of lobster , which was overcooked, no asparagus and 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half . It had very little flavor and the price of this dish was $38.00. I'm a big fan of Aqua Pazzo. With Youngstown being the Italian hub that it is, it needed a more upscale and authentic Italian cuisine experience to balance out the plethora of 'comfort' Italian food across the area. First off, you're crazy if you think the price is a turn-off. If you've always lived in the Youngstown area I can understand, but after living in Columbus for the last 8 years and dealing with their pricing, Aqua Pazzo is a STEAL. I usually stop in every time I'm back to the area to visit. The food hasn't blown me out of the water, but it's extremely delicious and will have you wanting to return again. Again, these items are more consistent with authentic Italian, as well as getting creative to create a more unique and original culinary experience. The only part of this that has turned me away is the service - I've had servers forget ordered drinks on multiple occasions and they also seem less than well educated on the menu and what all of the food items are. If they could get better in the service aspect, it'd be a 5 star review in my book. I will note though that in those situations, the drinks were comped and apologies were in order - which is a key part to keeping patrons happy! They also have a very cool private dining room within their wine storage. I've used the space twice now for dinners with friends during the holidays. It's become my go-to spot for any special occasions when I'm in the Youngstown area. Keep up the great work! read more

We came for red party( oh yes, they have thematic parties- red, black and white. Check the website for details.) before the party, we had dinner and it was delightful! I couldn't believe that we were dining in Youngstown, OH. Appetizers were mouth watering: pizza, gnocchi, baked oysters- all were yummy! Then, my fish was well prepared and tasty. Other people that were with us also enjoyed their meal. In the end, everyone ordered desserts. I ordered the pear, and Honestly, I didn't enjoy- so I would suggest to skip it on it. Our waitress, Amanda, had a bad attitude from the moment she came to our table. Not helpful at all and simply was not having a good day at work it seemed like. She was always in a rush, (place was not slammed) and didn't give us the time of day asking if we needed anything.
