What a great find for my wife and I! After visiting the outlet stores in Grove City we were looking for somewhere to eat and saw this restaurant on Yelp. It was one of times where everything seemed to go just right. When we arrived we told the hostess that it was our anniversary. There was a gentleman named Tom, standing next to the hostess who happened to be the owner. He took us to our table and sat us. We each ordered a salad which were very good. My wife ordered a pizza and I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. Both dishes were excellent. Tom stopped by a few times and chatted with us. And he bought dessert for us. The atmosphere is great, food and service excellent. And the hospitality outstanding. We will definitely be going back. It'll be an 80 mile drive but worth it. read more

Been here a few time and the food and atmosphere has been great. This time the food was the best part of the whole experience. Our waitress, Amanda, had a bad attitude from the moment she came to our table. Not helpful at all and simply was not having a good day at work it seemed like. She was always in a rush, (place was not slammed) and didn't give us the time of day asking if we needed anything. Very disappointing experience. Had high hopes. We made reservations for my birthday weeks in advance via Open Table. Was visiting family in a small town and we had heard good things and drove 25 minutes to try it. Upon arrival it was totally in the middle of nowhere. Pitch black parking lot. We were hoping for a "diamond in the rough" The hostess was very curt but she did take our coats for us. She then sat us, a group of 7 adults, at a tiny bar booth!! I was appalled! We tried to move but the main restaurant was packed. If someone makes reservations, they expect to be seated in the dining room. Bar seating is for those without reservations. Literally I was so mad - had we been "larger" bodies we wouldn't have fit - then what would they have done?! My poor parents had to squeeze and shuffle into this tiny booth. Bad start! Our server was a little bartender taking care of the entire area. She did the best she could but come on, help a girl out! We started with the beet salad and curry mussels for the group. The mussels saved me from giving one star. WOW so good - amazing indian curry flavors!! We could have licked the bowl clean. The cocktails were on point. We made up our own concoctions but they killed it. The worst part was between the appetizers and the dinner. From the time they took our plates until dinner was served, it took 40 minutes. SO HORRIBLE!! With no apology or explanation. And then they started bringing one plate at a time and so from the time the first plate came to the last, there was another 20 minutes which meant my food was cold since we wait to eat until everyone has their food. Sad sad sad!!! No manager even came around to ask us how things were going. I ordered the filet and it was poorly plated with oil everywhere. The best meal of the night was the vegetarian lasagna/pasta dish that my mom got. I guess Ytown can really only do Italian right! One nice touch that saved them for a second star was the live musician. HE was fantastic!! To top the night off, nobody said or sang happy birthday to me or offered complimentary dessert. So we skipped it! For 7 of us with tip etc I think it ended up being $400 which majority was spent on cocktails. There are way better places in Ytown to dine. Forget this place! I have had Aqua Pazzo on my radar for months and my expectations were pretty high. I would definitely classify this restaurant as upscale dining given the menu prices and ambiance. However, the food and service left me underwhelmed. Upon entering, we were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar/lounge or the dining room. In both rooms the lighting was pretty dim and there were candles on each of the tables. The white leather booths and red lighting really makes this an intimate dining experience. Given the prices on the menu I was expecting more out of the service and food quality. Our waitress was not the friendliest person. She didn't seem too eager to answer any questions or show up at our table to see if everything was okay. I ordered the brown butter gnocchi for my entree. It was made with spinach gnocchi, brown butter, slivered garlic, pine nuts, red onion and crispy spinach. I feel like the spinach gnocchi could have been over kill with too much spinach. I would have preferred potato gnocchi instead. This dish was $18 and you do not get very much for the price. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this. I would maybe give this restaurant another shot and try something different. But I am not in a hurry to come back anytime soon. read more

Absolutely love this place. People travel from 40 mins around for the amazing atmosphere. Everything I've had has been great. Highly recommend the caprese salad and calamari for appetizers. Cannot go wrong with any entree or pasta. The rea attraction here is the butter cake. It's to die for. You can't overstate how amazing this cake (with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and balsamic) is. Highly recommend this spot for a birthday or anniversary because the atmosphere is just so gorgeous. I most enjoy how the service is definitely fast and attentive but they give you enough time between ordering drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert that you can actually slow down and enjoy the evening read more

I've been going to Aqua Pazzo for years, and have fine dined in Italy, France, NYC, Chicago, LA, Miami, etc. I went for a work related event and ordered the $38 Filetto Taleggio and it was not even palatable. I took 3 bites, asked the server to please box up the meal, and brought it home to show a family member who is a French trained chef, that's how horrible the meal was. The meat was not filet mignon, rather a sirloin they tried to pass off as a filet, and not only was the taleggio cheese just melted atop of the meat, but it was so salty and did not pair well with the meat. The whole meal was a faux pas. IDK who is cooking for them but they need to hire someone new to prepare food and design the menu better. The tiramisu dessert, however, was to die for and that ended up being my dinner! read more

The entire experience was bad. The place is dimly lit, so that it was very difficult to see the menu. All the seats were severely stained or ripped. Our waitress seated us and took our order but we didn't see her again until it was time for check (all food was brought out by food runners). As for the food, it was underwhelming and bland. We got risotto balls with marinara, the risotto balls had no taste but the marinara was pretty good. We got steak and pork chops for the main course, it was very good cuts of meat but was not seasoned and the steak, which I ordered medium rare was red and cold in the middle. Sides were plain fingerling potatoes... again no seasoning and broccolini. After being disappointed with the food we got dessert any way because I've heard people rave over the butter cake and I already knew we would never be back. It was just 'ok'. Overall Terrible experience, terrible food. The sauce on risotto balls was the only tasty thing we got, so i have no idea why people like this place read more

On approaching the building you see no indication that this is an Italian restaurant. Through the first door and you're in what looks like a back porch of a 1950's ranch home but with a Nature Stone floor....still no evidence of a restaurant of any type. Another door and finally you realize that, somewhere, there is food being served. We had a reservation and were immediately taken to our table. I sat down and had to place my foot on the table base to keep it from wobbling. The table was much too small for two people and I think it would have been a nice touch to have a water glass without spots...but what do I know? Maybe spotty and dirty glasses are the real Italian way. There were too many tables stuffed into the space and it caused guests and employees to walk sideways between the tables. Very uncomfortable, and I didn't feel exactly safe in the event of an emergency. I ordered bolognese sauce, and having had this sauce in Europe, I was expecting a meat-rich tomato sauce that would cover the pasta. Needless to say, the dish was meat-poor, had way too much wine, and way too little salt. And what I found a bit strange, there was no salad served with dinner. Just some bread that they admitted was not made in house. I would have expected at least some semblance of a side salad for what I paid for the meal. I got the bill and realized I could have had two very good meals from Olive Garden for the cost of mediocre meals at this place. And OG gives you an after-dinner mint! The outside of the building is unassuming at first, and the entrance isn't much. But the moment you step into the dining room and patio you can see what this place is about. We sat on the patio and watched the koi pond while we waited for our orders. Family ordered a bottle of moscato and it was absolutely the best moscato I've ever had. I ordered the Langostino and Shrimp Scampi, best scampi I've had in my entire life. And hearing about the tiramisu, I had it for desert; creamy, sweat, and just the right amount of rich. Then to top the night I got to meet local legend, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, who was also dining at the time. This place is gorgeous and fancy and delicious. I see a lot of snobs giving reviews that are saying it's either too expensive or not actually fancy or it's trying to be something it's not. I want to set the record straight. It's not any Gordon Ramsay, but it's a higher end restaurant for the middle to lower class families that live in the area. Aqua Pazzo lives up to the hype I've heard from my peers and family. We went for a date night and I loved the atmosphere and decor. We started with drinks. I had a strawberry basil martini that was just ok, husband had a Moscow mule that was fantastic. We split the calamari app and it was underwhelming and pretty bland. It needed more lemon and/or something to add to the calamari batter. Maybe a dipping sauce? Beautiful presentation though. For our meals I got the seafood pasta and husband got some sort of pasta too and both were good, but we've definitely had better. Our service was wonderful and we were seated right away thanks to our reservation. Would I recommend others go there? Maybe...for a good Moscow mule! Would I go again? When you first arrive it feels like you'll be entering a warehouse but don't let the outside fool you this is a classy joint. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Very elegant decor and atmosphere. The drinks were delicious. The food was fresh and made to order. I ordered a steak from an Italian place and usually when I do this I walk away disappointed but this was one of the finest cooked slabs I've ever had. The creamy, rich risotto was a perfect accompany to this dish. The desserts were fabulous I had a crazy looking chocolate mountin of delishiousness and my wife had a rich butter cake both of which were mouth watering. The prices were high but not unreasonable. Aqua Pazzo is insanely good. Go there. Best Italian restaurant in the MV, bar none. Now I love me a brick of lasagna in red sauce, and I am not a snob. The homemade recipes in the area passed down for generations are distinctly the YO. I love them. But this is what you may find in the best Italian fine dining experiences on the east side of Cleveland. The fresh, often imported ingredients are prepared simply and presented without pretense. The dishes are both classic and creative in style, the pasta impeccably au dente. The ante pasta selections are both varied and delectable. And don't pass on the buttercake desert. I've also had the wood fired pizzas, and they are straight up slap yo Nanna redonkulous. Aqua Pazzo is a bit pricey for the Valley, and if you are used to family portions, their more contemporary approach may seem less than generous. The location in the Gia Russa office complex is bizarre, but that's the YO. Classiest joint in town borders an impound lot. Location and the portion/price for this area are the only reasons why I can think of for receiving anything less the 5 stars. The interior is charming split between a fun open kitchen and a pub feel. All in all, if it isn't a pizza or red sauce fix from one of the many outstanding local MV family establishments, the only two places I want to dine are Aqua Pazzo or Michael Albarini's. I went to Aqua Pazzo for my birthday with some very close friends. I have to say that we were all impressed. The service was wonderful, as was the ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. My fiancée and I enjoyed our evening here very much. We were in need of a place with great food, great drinks, and lovely, friendly, knowledgeable service. Samantha was our server and she was perfect. We shared the scallop appetizer, then the halibut risotto dinner, and finally the chocolate soufflé. All items were spot on. It was within the hour of closing and yet that did not affect the quality one bit as it has in other restaurants. Our cocktails were yummy and refreshing as well. Much better experience on our latest visit. It is pretty clear that their old chef is back in full control and has resolved the challenges that we'd seen in the past. The chaos in the kitchen is gone and service was friendly and efficient. I now understand why their early Yelp reviews were fantastic and took a turn for the worse during late 2014 and 2015. If you visited during that time and didn't like CA, I strongly suggest you go back and try again! We started with an octopus and potato appetizer that was excellent. From there we split a salad from the specials list - the "split" was huge and each of our plates was more than enough salad for each of us. I had the chicken parm which was excellent and my husband had a cavatelli pasta special that he said was also very good. We, of course, had the butter cake and tried the red velvet cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake looked better than it was, not bad but not quite what I was hoping for.
