Stuffed New Bedford Squid, but it was stuffed with more calamari meat. Excellent!

We were in the area for work, and got some take out here. Definitely a cute spot, and busy, I'd recommend reservations. We had the baked clam app(1 piece each) and shrimp in cognac sauce app which was pretty good, and we also shared the stuffed squid app which was excellent! For our entrees we had the monk fish and dried cod. A bit bland, but definitely fresh. Maybe something got lost in translation since we didn't eat it in-house, but definitely worth a try. They also have an extensive wine list and full bar as well.

We celebrated my friend's birthday. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is great, the staff is always attentive, the atmosphere is beautiful. Thank you everyone, you made our evening unforgettable

Back again, with a couple of friends. The hospitality here matches the quality of the food - both outstanding. It's almost as if every guest feels she's pampered "more than anyone else " here! From previous visits we've established that we like the "Meandro", a red Portuguese wine that is aromatic, flavorful, full bodied and goes perfectly with our dinner choices. And it's priced well! We started with a shrimp appetizer, the mussels and the grilled fresh sardines. That was followed with the Mariscada, the Broiled Scallops, the Sautéed Tuna and a whole broiled Dourado. The dishes each come with black beans and rice. Delicious! We did make sure we left some room for dessert and this time we shared a slice of Napoleon. An excellent choice and an outstanding meal!

Always a treat to come to this fine restaurant. Love the ambiance: white linen Tableclothes and Napkins, comfortable chairs, relaxed atmosphere, and muted sounds allow for quiet conversation. Delicious bread, butter and Portuguese sausage bites immediately placed on the table. Extensive menu, yet three in our party of four enjoyed the broiled Seafood Combo - Sole, Scallops & Butterfly Shrimp* with sides of mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli and carrots, and tasty rice & beans. Our other guest ordered the Broiled Butterfly Shrimp*. The Shrimp were dry and serving them in their shell was a BIG turn-off! (If not for the shells, this review would be 5 Stars.). The Sole and Scallops were so very fresh and delicious. The desserts were all good but the Portuguese pasty tarts are outstanding! I had heard that the restaurant would be closing soon because its location had become too valuable. I was told that while true, it would be another 18 months. Get there while the gettin's good!

Solid food. Gets busy over the weekend. They offer valet service. It's like a smart casual vibe. The restaurant is spacious and the deco on the wall makes you feel like you traveled to the coast of Portugal. Lots of seafood options. Complimentary bread butter and sausage. Can't go wrong there! For apps, the portobello mushroom is a winner. The octopus salad and melon and prosciutto are also very good but the star of the appetizers was the mushroom. Entree the Mariscada is top notch. It's essentially a tomato broth filled with lots of shellfish. All dishes have generous portions. The Flan for dessert was also good. Perhaps it was a tad overcooked but solid flavor. What was unique was they had a photographer going around the tables to take photos and then they tried to sell you the photo and frame before you leave.

The restaraunt looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. It's very well decorated with Portugal contents, which was adorable. (See pic) The servers were very professional but still remained personal with us. The ambiance inside gives off vibes like the restaurants over seas which was a nice feeling. The food... we all had different feelings in regards to the food. Personally I thought my food was delicious. I had the puree of vegetable soup as an appetizer and following I had the grilled fish. All their meals comes with fries, rice and beans; which was enough for me to share with my Gf bc it was such a huge portion. My husband and one of our bf's both had steaks and they weren't too pleased as it was filled with fat. For appetizers we also tried clams casino, and melon with prosciutto. For dessert I had rice pudding one of my favorite Portuguese desserts. I would come back. **+by the way, the owner will be closing the restaraunt in two years, retiring and moving back to Portugal. If you want to try this place come before he shuts down. ***

The food items- chicken sandwiches, sliced sirloin, a rice dish, tomato salad and passed lamb chops were exceptional. Service was accommodating and the signator cocktails were excellent. The DJ was engaging and the room temperature was just right. I had not been to the space in years so it was fun to return to reacquaint myself with the venue. Parking and registration was seemless. The service - well you feel like family. We did a tasting menu that the chef planned. 8 courses (plus bread service). Dessert was served in the kitchen. All courses had a beverage pairing. Menu: Beet / yogurt pairing with little hints of different flavors that surprise you in a good way Tomato soup (cold) - not like anything I have had before. The father of the chef grows the little tomatoes - maybe grape tomatoes. Not sure. The best tomato soup I have ever had - there were three small tomatoes floating in the soup. So tender (no skin). Wow! Raw yellow tail with two differed sauces that you combined it all together - super fresh fish, amazing sauces - I really can't find the words to do justice for this dish. Even my husband who doesn't eat any sushi had this. And loved it. Seas bass on fava bean sauce - likely the best seas bass I have had. I'm used to Black Sea bass off the boat in Montauk; hard to beat this and they did! Tiger prawn tempora - this was served with a cold beer. Omg. I will never have tempora without a beer again. (I generally don't drink beer.) The batter was exceptionally light, the flavor if the prawn shined. Sockeye salmon on rice - I am not explaining this properly. Wowowow Filet beef with a concentrated au ju - perfectly prepared ... so flavorful. So good. Dessert: tiramisu, two different decadent cookies small and wow. Chocolate truffle (maybe not the right word) but wow We started with champagne, had white wine, red wine, beer, and port. The wines were from Portugal and were sulfite free. And they were spectacular in their own right and perfect pairing with the food. We were here for a big bday cele - it was so special. I will never forget! And I look forward to going back. I wish there were more stars to give. Wish there were more adjectives. I am at a loss at how to explain how good this experience was. If you ever get a chance to go, run there! If you haven't been, call and get a reservation or plan an event. This place has great history with an amazing family. Their passion for food and people is off the charts.

This is a small, compact place with about 2 dozen tables, but the tables are large enough and arranged well so that you don't feel crowded in. They have a small bar, but not for sitting, just serving. Everything seemed to be clean. The restaurant fills up very quickly; so you definitely need reservations. We both ordered a glass of chardonnay from Chile and lobster bisque, and we split an arugula salad. For the main course my Son ordered veal scallopini and I had the rabbit. For dessert we shared the Molotoff, which is a merengue. I had espresso and my Son a cappucino. At the beginning, they brought some nice fresh bread with a choice of butter or olive oil. The soup was so delicious with tender lobster chunks (best I've had in years). At that point I was thinking of giving a rating of 5, but then my entre was disappointing. The sauce was good, but the rabbit was tough and tasteless. My Son enjoyed his scallopini. The salad, although not exceptional, was good. We also unexpectedly received some vegetables on the side with our entre. The dessert and coffee were also good and blessedly light because the portions here are huge. We were very stuffed by the time we left. I would definitely return if, for no other reason, the soup; but I would order a different entre - maybe a pasta.
