This restaurant offers fresh fish to the most delicious steaks! Superb service by well dressed waiters and busboys (vest and ties) very attentive and never had to ask for anything, they were well choreographed and knew exactly when to fill the water glass and remove the plates and replace the silverware without us being bothered. Suggestions- Appetizers: fresh baked clams, portobello mushrooms sautéed in garlic sauce. Entrees-Jumbo Broiled Shrimp in lemon sauce. Jumbo Shrimp over linguine in cognac sauce. Other tables around me had scrumptious looking meals with steaks and seafood. Can not wait to return to try other selections! Great place for a party/ special occasion or romantic evening for two! The quality of the food has really gone down in this restaurant. We hadn't been there since pre-covid, and went back with friends a few nights ago. My broiled shrimp "in lemon sauce" came on a plate with one wedge of lemon and a small container of melted butter. That was the lemon sauce. My husband's caprese came with two slices of very pale tomato covered with a thick slice of mozzarella. No garnish, no nothing. Not even an attempt to make it look appetizing. My friend ate hardly any of her shrimp and linguini, saying that it had no taste. Too bad. This restaurant used to be great. read more

I made reservations at this establishment for Mother's Day. At the time I arrived, no one was at the hostess stand to greet customers. Eventually, one of the waiters came and skipped us, and attended the customers waiting behind me. I am a black female and the other was white family. When I confronted the waiter about his rude behavior, he became belligerent and started yelling. My party eventually was accommodated but we were upset. As a frequent customer I was shocked by how we were treated. They discriminated against me and later on they apologized, but the damage was done. I don't recommend this restaurant to nobody they are racist and don't know how to treat people with equal respect. read more

If you are in the mood for a great Portuguese fish restaurant, head to this great, far-from-small but yet intimate restaurant near White Plains. We shared some raw clams and a bowl of caldo verde to start and both we delicious. The lobster was two pounds and perfectly done. The shrimp scampi was eight or night large shrimps with yummy garlic sauce. And the paella was so good and freshly prepared. While not an inexpensive meal, it's well worth the benjamins! read more

I've been eating at this restaurant since I was a kid. I think I owe it to Aquarios for my love of seafood. Some of my favorite dishes are the fisherman stew, grouper in light shrimp sauce, halibut flambé, and red snapper. The fish here couldn't taste fresher and it is always cooked just right. The desserts are also wonderful with a wide variety to appeal to anyone's sweet tooth. My family has celebrated many occasions here and each time has been memorable. Yes they get slammed during holidays but that's how you know it's good right? Service could be better if they used better teamwork. There have been a couple of dinners where it would take over an hour to get your food appetizers included. Another plus is the free valet parking. Great spot for a couple or large party. read more

Went to Birthday dinner with my daughter. Older waiter accidentally spliced wine all over us. He was apologetic and offered to pay the cleaning bill. We politely decline and ordered our food. The meal was good. The manager never came to apologize for the mishap despite being totally aware of the situation or offer compensation on the bill. Probably because she's a woman. Excellent choice for a restaurant. I booked here for a bday dinner with the girlfriend and from the moment we sat down until we left I thought this was one of the better experiences I've had at a dining establishments. Firstly the restaurant is located right next to a lake so if you're sitting close to the window you get a really nice view of the street and the lake as the background, they picked a really good spot for location. The decor and furnishing were all very well done and clean and definitely a very intimate dinner as it wasn't jammed packed with people These are what I tried at the restaurant - Jumbo Shrimp Pan - The sauce is tomato based so it feels closer to a shrimp cocktail but not as acidic. Shrimp was really fresh and huge as the menu suggested they were really jumbo shrimps - Little Neck Steamed Clams - The white wine brings out a really nice flavor for the clams and the sauce is good for dipping bread with. - Brook Trout Filet Pan - I think this was the first time I've seen almonds on a fish but they really go well together. At first I thought might be a bit too dry since fillet was covered with almonds but the fish was really flaky and moist that they really go well together. I remember I really like the broccoli too they were really nicely steamed. With the food alone I probably would've given the place 4 stars but it really went above and beyond when I asked them to bring out the cake that I've gotten earlier. I had no idea they were going to actually plate the cake and add sliced fruits to go with it all free of charge. I was very pleasantly surprised and really appreciate they did that for us. All I'm saying is I ate a lot here! Our group of 4 shared the octopus, clams and mussels (which were huge) to start. The ladies were scared of the size but they always adjust after looking at it lol. Dinner came and it was more seafood for everyone. Orders of paella, snapper and monk fish for them while I had the bronzino which was whole and delicious. The side of vegetables was nothing special and not very attractive but the rice and beans which also came with each dinner, except the paella, made up for it. Dessert wasn't very appealing to me but we shared a nice piece of red velvet cake and flan. It was good enough for some. I'll definitely be back to enjoy a nice piece of fish in the future. My fiance and I had dinner at Aquario this evening to celebrate his birthday. For appetizers we had mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, which were not as tasty as we had hoped, and sautéed portobello mushrooms, which were very flavorful. Our entrees were generous portions of tuna with Dijon mustard sauce, and broiled wild king salmon. Both were delicious and came with sides of steamed vegetables, potatoes, and rice and beans. For dessert we had chocolate mousse cake and berry crumb pie, both of which came with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit, and decaf cappuccinos, all which we enjoyed very much. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated and was full of diners. It was a delightful evening with very good food, however our waiter was not as attentive as he should have been and never checked with us to see if we were enjoying our dinners or if we needed anything else. Went for dinner last night to celebrate 20 year wedding anniversary. My first and last time there. We may have been like 8 or 9 table since this was a Tuesday evening. I don't understand the two butter pats on a torn off piece of lettuce that is brought with bread basket. I ordered Mahi Mahi and they didn't have it. So I opted for salmon. Had the mozzarella salad. The basil was a silver at best. Ordered drinks and no one asked if we would like another even though we finished our drinks and sat for awhile while waiting for our main course. My salmon was bland. I guess my husbands seafood combo was ok. Time for dessert. Dessert tray brought to us complete with ROACH on the dessert platter. Now I know that there are vermin restaurants have to deal with regularly , however I don't want to see them. Especially on food I may getting from the kitchen where the tray was just brought out. Needless to say we asked for check. Do you think our server would have said, we gave you complimentary drink for this "mishap " as he put it ? Nope $124 later Yeah nope ! Like Los Angeles, NY has a variety of choices for food. This gem is tucked on one of the small main streets of West Harrison, and you can tell it's a local spot for celebrations, and date nights. We went on a Saturday evening and there wasn't a long wait around 8pm. We were seated right away and started off with the smoked trout fish appetizer. It wasn't overly salty and went well with some bread and butter. They are known for their seafood but the lamb was great as well. There is a lot, valet parking, as well as plenty of street parking. There are a number of waiters ready to help and the food comes out quick. Don't forget to take a look at the dessert tray that they bring at the end of the meal. Since I've been living upstate, I haven't had much time to enjoy my Portuguese cuisine in Westchester. But as far back as I can remember Aquarios always had great food.. I just came back for a baby shower and everything was awesome. Seafood, Steak, whatever you get it wont do you wrong. I was at a table of 8 and everyone enjoyed their dish and they were all different. From the classic Portuguese Caldo Verde to the sauteed shrimp in brandy sauce down to my Bife a Portuguesa they didn't fail me! The service was good and if I was in the neighborhood more often I'd visit! But I'd have to be honest and say I have enjoyed some Portuguese restaurants a bit more.. but maybe it was because I wasn't going around the restaurant taking pictures and letting my food cool a bit. I waited my entire meal for a glass of water WITHOUT FRUIT IN IT; do I believe the restaurant staff WASHED the lime before they cut it and put it in the glasses? Not for one minute. I never got a fruitless glass of water. I would give this 1 star, but I ordered a salad and seafood both of which were delicious. The dessert was wonderful as well. I had to tell the waiter THREE TIMES I didn't want fresh pepper on my salad, after having covered my plate with my hand. He peppered my hand instead. Terrible all around. Went for a 6:30 reservation, by 930 didn't even get all of our food. It started with terrible appetizers all around. They were out of many options, then 2 out of 7 apps came about 30 minutes after the other apps. They were not worth the wait . Even managed to make mozzarella and tomato bad. Dishes were relatively plain not much flavor and came with sides that were reminiscent of terrible wedding food. Dessert wasn't even appealing but we tried the cheesecake and couldn't eat more than one bite. The good thing is the portions were decent but a lot of pretty terrible food isn't really worth writing home about. Waitstaff did not seem to care that a few members of our table did not have food or silverware. Had to ask for the waiter multiples time throughout the meal. Will not be back. read more

I've been eating at Aquario for 5 years. I've never had a problem. However, went for brunch today with a friend and ordered one and a half dozen oysters, escargot in cognac sauce and mahi-mahi. Two hours later, the two of us suffer with symptoms of diarrhea. I called the restaurant as a courtesy to inform them that we had become sick and not to serve the sauce to anyone else. Instead of thanking me he asked me rudely"How did you know it was my food?" I then explained that it was all I eaten that day and the fact that we both got sick explained a lot. I would think that a complimentary glass of wine would have been nice. Actually anything would have been nice. Sorry that this happened. I need to say that the waiters are wonderful but the situation could have been handled differently, but I will still give them a good review. read more

Then when we brought this issue up to the wit-tress she got offended and when she returned she gave us the receipt at us and gave us an attitude.
